bogie nOn the cabin bogey there is placed - propped up from the heat on its lid and left to simmer gently over the dull-red iron top - the tomato-can that holds the cough-cure invented by our own special Aesculapius.PRINTED ITEMG. M. Story JUN 1970JH JUL 1970Used I and SupUsed I and SupNot use

bogey stoves
bogie nIt was in the storerooms that the gear was kept, nets mended, lines baited - and where, warmed by the glow of little bogey stoves, men who were too old for the fishery gathered early in the day to smoke and gab until the boats came homeward from the sea.PRINTED ITEMG. bogie n"Mr. Dowell," ses she, when school closed the first night, "will you take the fire for the first week?" Callin' him mister an' smilin' at him like that made Tom grin all over. No wonder it might, poor chap. Tom's wife had a different name for him an' she never axed him to do something. She told him. "Sartinly, miss," Tom answers, "I'll have that old bogey seatin' blood."PRINTED ITEMG. M. Story MAR 1971JH MAR 1971Used I and SupUsed I and SupNot use
MEASUREMENT BY MILLIMETER-WAVE SPECTROSCOPY OF TUNNELING SPLITTING FOR THE NON-CLASSICAL FORM OF

Escribano, private communication (1993)Author Institution: Laboratoire de Spectroscopie Hertzienne, U.F.R. de Physique. Universit\'{e} de Lille I; Department of Chemistry, University of ChicagoThe non-classical form (bridged) of the protonated acetylene has now been identified both by IR (1) and MW (2) spectroscopy. The analysis of the vibrational state led the evidence of the exchange of the three protons in a tunneling rearrangement of this structure through its classical isomer (1). We report our observation of the splittings of the A-E energy levels in the ground state using millimeter wave spectroscopy. Recent improvements of our spectrometer have increased its performance. We are now able to measure accurately the splitting of the and transitions. The obtained values are within the predictions of Escribano with a barrier of about (3). However, up to now, the theoretical model does not fit precisely to the experimental data

Its rotational spectrum corresponding to a slightly asymenlzie top was observed in a liquid nitrogen cooled cell when argon was used as carrier gas. The assignment of lines has been made by comparing experimental molecular constants with ab initio predicted values from Breidung and . The observation of several lines belonging to the isotopic species in natural abundance confirmed unambiguously this identification. This work led to the first high resolution spectroscopic results for silene. Study of different isotopomers is in progress and will give an experimental structure of this compound
