Aeronautic Spark Plugs
This mounted collection of aeronautic spark plugs illustrates one phase of the extensive program on ignition apparatuses at the National Bureau of Standards (NBS) which was sponsored by the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) from 1917 to 1925. During that time NBS ceramic chemist Albert V. Bleininger and the Frenchtown Porcelain & Champion Spark Plug Companies developed ceramics low in sodium and potassium which could therefore maintain higher electrical resistance at operating temperature in aircraft engines. The work was later extended to studies of various magnetos, spark coils and other ignition apparatuses; Frank B. Silsbee, Hobart C. Dickinson, R.B. Brode, V.W. Randolph, P. Agnew and several other National Bureau of Standards scientists and engineers were involved.25 x 66 x 6 cm; Average spark plug: 8 x 2 x 2 c
Aeronautic Spark Plugs
These 24 aeronautic spark plugs of various types illustrate an extensive program on ignition apparatus undertaken at the National Bureau of Standards (NBS) from 1917 to 1925 and sponsored by the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics. The program developed and tested spark plug ceramics that were low in sodium and potassium and could therefore maintain electrical resistance at higher operating temperatures, such as those generated in aircraft engines. Some spark plugs included in the research were developed at NBS by Albert V. Bleininger, and commercially produced plugs from companies such as the Frenchtown Porcelain Company of Frenchtown, NJ, and Champion Spark Plugs of Detroit, MI. The work was later extended to studies of various magnetos, spark coils and other ignition apparatus.25 x 66 x 6 cm; Average spark plug: 8 x 2 x 2 c
Financial analysis Albert Czech Republic Ltd.
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to prepare a financial analysis of the company Albert Czech Republic for years 2015–2019, including intercompany comparison with main competitors in the retail industry. The thesis is divided into 2 sections. In the first one, the author focused on the introduction and explanation of financial analysis methods that were used during the processing of the work. The second section is practical. The main aim of this section is to make company’s characteristic, perform the financial analysis itself and subsequent comparison with the main competitors. In order to increase the quality of the intercompany comparison, the second part additionally examines the field in which the analysed company carries out business activities.Cílem této bakalářské práce je zpracovat finanční analýzu společnosti Albert Česká republika, s.r.o. pro období 2015-2019, a na její bázi provést mezipodnikové srovnání výše uvedené společnosti s konkurenci v maloobchodním průmyslu.

Analysis of comparison of in-store communication in hypermarkets of Albert and Kaufland retail chains and its influence on purchase behaviour
This thesis deals with the analysis and comparison of in-store communication in hypermarkets of two retail chains Albert and Kaufland and its influence on customers' shopping behaviour. The author defines the basic elements of in-store communication and its tools. It discusses its objectives and its use in practice. The author also defines other components of in-store communication, defines terms such as merchandising, P.O.P. and P.O.S. He also focuses on the psychological side of the consumer, on models of buying behaviour and on the perceptions that influence buying behaviour. Autor v ní definuje základní prvky in-store komunikace a její nástroje. Pojednává o jejích cílech a využití v praxi.

Collect @ V&A
‘Collect @ V and A’, sponsored by British Crafts Council and Victoria and Albert Museum, comprises internationally recognised Applied Arts Galleries, Gallery Ra, Gallery Marzee, Amsterdam, Australian Crafts Council, etc., with selected works of their represented practitioners. Six textiles, each 3 metres in length, five completed December 2005, were selected and profiled by the Crafts Council/Scottish Gallery. These works extend research initiated by Starszakowna in the SRIF funded (£148,000) Research Futures Project she established at UoAL in 2001. This research addressed the ubiquity of the digitally derived textile through interventions of synchronous, embossed screen-printed image and other experimental processes to create a chimeric textile; a paradigmatic shift within the field. This research has subsequently been subject to invited presentations to industry and academia, including Mantero Lab (Milan/Como), Dutch Textile Museum (Tilburg), etc.The resultant textiles form a palimpsest of filmic, translucent glazed digital image and opaque, three-dimensionally textured, embossed and oxidised surfaces that effectively challenge perceptions of virtual and actual reality. These qualities are optimised to reflect issues addressed within the works, namely the nature of cultural identity and the impact of socio-political change, dislocation and the urbanised environment. ‘Diasporas’, for example, specifically addresses enforced exile, the impacting loss of a mother tongue, and the nature of cultural estrangement, anomie and ‘otherness’. Purchased for the permanent collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum 2006, ‘Diasporas’ was featured in Surface Design Vol.30 Summer 2006, published Surface Design Association (USA), ISSN 0-74470-89282-3, and may be viewed in V&A Magazine, pub. V and A Museum, Issue 10 summer 2006, and on V and A website www.vam.ac.uk. Six later works completed in 2006/07 were also selected for exhibition at ‘Collect @ V&A’ 2007 (Collect catalogue, published Crafts Council ISBN-13 978-1-85759-511-6), two being purchased for permanent installation Bank of Scotland HQ.</p
