Tourists go home: explorando el fenómeno de anti-turismo en la ciudad de Barcelona
No full textEn moltes ciutats, el turisme ha començat a ser percebut pels residents com un problema important. Aquesta tesi se centra a analitzar el fenomen de l'anti-turisme a Barcelona, explorant els discursos i actes de rebuig al turisme. Una revisió exhaustiva de la literatura prèvia construïda al voltant de l'anti-turisme identifica mancances significatives, destacant la falta de comprensió de diferents aspectes de l'anti-turisme.
Aquesta tesi va utilitzar dos tipus de dades. Primer, es va emprar una tècnica de dades innovadora: l'anàlisi de comentaris a notícies en línia. En total, es van examinar 6.916 comentaris a notícies sobre el turisme a Barcelona. Els resultats mostren discursos altament emocionals i descobreixen impactes negatius que els residents relacionen amb el turisme, classificats en nivells micro, meso i macro. També s'aborda la interacció entre mitjans i residents, observant com els residents responen als marcs mediàtics sobre la problemàtica del turisme.
Segon, es van dur a terme entrevistes en profunditat i un grup focal amb residents organitzats en col·lectius en contra del turisme de la ciutat de Barcelona. En aquest cas, més enllà dels discursos sobre els impactes percebuts del turisme, també s'han explorat les actuacions i barreres del moviment anti-turisme.En muchas ciudades, el turismo ha comenzado a ser percibido por los residentes como un problema importante. Esta tesis se centra en analizar el fenómeno del anti-turismo en Barcelona, explorando los discursos y actos de rechazo del turismo. Una revisión exhaustiva de la literatura previa construida alrededor del anti-turismo identifica lagunas significativas, destacando la falta de comprensión de diferentes aspectos del anti-turismo.
Esta tesis utilizó dos tipos de datos. Primero, se empleó una técnica de datos novedosa: el análisis de comentarios a noticias en línea. En total, se examinaron 6.916 comentarios a noticias sobre el turismo en Barcelona. Los hallazgos muestran discursos altamente emocionales y descubren impactos negativos que los residentes relacionan con el turismo, clasificados en niveles micro, meso y macro. También se aborda la interacción entre medios y residentes, observando cómo los residentes responden a los framings mediáticos sobre la problemática del turismo.
Segundo, se llevaron a cabo entrevistas en profundidad y un grupo focal con residentes organizados en colectivos en contra del turismo de la ciudad de Barcelona. En este caso, más allá de los discursos sobre los impactos percibidos del turismo, también se han explorado las actuaciones y barreras del movimiento anti-turismo.In many cities, tourism has started to be perceived by residents as a significant problem. This thesis focuses on analysing the phenomenon of anti-tourism in Barcelona, exploring the discourses and acts of rejection towards tourism. A comprehensive review of the existing literature on anti-tourism identifies significant gaps, emphasizing the lack of understanding of various aspects of anti-tourism.
This thesis utilized two types of data. First, a novel data technique was employed: the analysis of comments on online news articles. In total, 6.916 comments on news about tourism in Barcelona were examined. The findings reveal highly emotional discourses and uncover negative impacts that residents associate with tourism, classified at the micro, meso, and macro level. Additionally, the interaction between media and residents is addressed, observing how residents respond to media framings about the problems generated by tourism.
Second, in-depth interviews and a focus group were conducted with residents organized in collectives against tourism in the city of Barcelona. In this case, beyond discourses on the perceived impacts of tourism, the actions and barriers of anti-tourism movement were also explored

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
