La questione della soggettività. Percorsi in prima philosophia tra Martin Heidegger e Michel Henry
L'articolo analizza la questione della soggettività alla luce delle filosofie di Martin Heidegger e Michel Henry. Muovendo dall'analisi delle ragioni fenomenologiche che sono alla base del progetto heideggeriano di sradicamento della filosofia dal fondamento del subjectum (oltrepassamento della metafisica), il contributo presenta e discute la critica a cui la fenomenologia di Michel Henry sottopone la filosofia di Heidegger, portandone allo scoperto determinati presupposti di fondo. Sulla base dell'isolamento di tali presupposti, l'articolo delinea le possibili linee di sviluppo che la "fenomenologia della vita" di Michel Henry prospetta in merito al problema relativo al "senso d'essere dell'ego"

Energy load forecasting in two hospital systems through the use of Artificial Neural Networks
Load forecasting is a useful resource for electric systems security, in order to provide valuable information to detect many vulnerable situations in advance. This resource become essential in a hospital reality, because of the continuous use of new technological instruments that require electricity. In this work a hospital energy load forecast is illustrated. The adopted approach is based on the Artificial Neural Networks, with the support of an opportune pre-training classification. The data sources are the University Eye Clinic of Genoa, S. Martino Hospital, Genoa, Italy, and the Department of Internal Medicine and Medical Specialties of the University of Genoa, Italy; in order to have different methodologies in patient treatment to determine if the same tool is advantageous in load forecasting for both wards. The presented approach results reached more than 75% of correct forecasts for the two application

This paper presents the design of a system of data acquisition and monitoring in a modern intensive care unit and in a coronary care unit. A great emphasis was placed on the acceptability of this system, above all in the design of the user interface. This was due to the fact that in these two wards people were still using paper to record data and thus the refusal probability could be quite high. Entropy-Driven Decision Tree Building for Decision Support in Gastroenterology
Gastroesophageal reflux disease is a serious clinical problem, which can significantly impair health-related quality of life, thus having global implications for patients. The first step for a doctor is the clinical classification of the patients, divided into classes after being subjected to endoscopic examinations to control if there are lesions of the esophageal mucosa, and if present, the severity of these lesions. 269 patients were taken into consideration (4 healthy patients, 219 with non erosive reflux disease, 21 with erosive reflux disease, 15 with complicated erosive reflux disease, 10 with Barrett’s disease). A set of values taken from gastroscopy, ph-metry and manometry tests were considered and a decision tree was made to classify every patient. Entropy and information gain were calculated for each node to create the most possible simple tree. The resulting tree presents some paths including a significant number of persons; the values that build these paths can be considered characteristic of each class of patient. This method can be a basis to develop a diagnostic decision support for a training doctor starting from a set of characteristics, specific to a class of patient
Short-Term Load Forecasting in Hospital Systems
Short-term load forecasting can provide information which is applicable for the possible energy interchange with other utilities. Load forecasting is also advantegeous for system security, in fact if applied to the system security assessment problem, it can provide valuable information to detect many vulnerable situations in advance. In addition if the work environment is in a hospital reality, where a continuous energy and electricity utilization is required, all the problems previously listed are amplified and of a greater importance, because of the continuous use of new technological instruments.
