This Research Handbook illustrates the state of the art of the legal investigation on sovereign investments, filling necessary gaps in previous research. Current focus is based on investment flows and trends, grounded in economic scenarios and objectives. Conversely, investigations from a legal standpoint are still few, namely disregarding the host states’ concerns about sovereign investments goals and tools. Hence, most of the many relevant drivers that affect current sovereign investments, be they FDI or portfolio investments, remain unexplained. No full textIl volume illustra lo stato dell’arte della regolazione in Italia nel settore dei trasporti, a due anni dalla costituzione dell’autorità di settore (ART), che per ampiezza dei settori vigilati costituisce un caso unico in Europa. I poteri e le funzioni che l’ART può esercitare vengono studiati in relazione al rapporto sia con le istituzioni dell’Unione europea, sia con le altre autorità nazionali, generali o di settore. L’esame viene condotto affrontando i diversi settori (ferrovie, autostrade, porti, aeroporti, trasporto pubblico locale) nelle prime due parti orizzontalmente, in modo unitario, e nella terza parte verticalmente (settore per settore). Si evidenziano così le differenze e le criticità, ma anche le opportunità che la normativa offre per raggiungere gli obiettivi della promozione della concorrenza e della tutela dei consumatori. No full textWe investigate with a simple analytical approach some effects on the orbits of LISA due to the corrections of the gravitational potential of the Sun. The general relativistic correction in the weak field limit, responsible for the classical relativistic perihelion advance, can be obtained by adding to the potential a term scaling as r3 and parametrized by the Sun Schwarzschild radius. Another interesting correction term is provided by the intrinsic quadrupole moment of the Sun. With the current values of the parameters, the effects produced by both these terms are probably within the detection capabilities of LISA. With the same approach can also be evaluated the much smaller effect of a global stationary field, associated to sources like the interplanetary dust or a local dark matter component
