Analisis Efisiensi Pelayanan Rawat Inap di RSUD DR. R.M. Djoelham Kota Binjai Berdasarkan Grafik Barber-Johnson Tahun 2018
The efficiency of inpatient services in a hospital can be assessed using the four
parameters of Barber-Johnson Graph concerning the usage of the beds provided
by the hospital. The value of Barber-Johnson efficiency indicator in state hospital
RSUD Dr. R.M. Djoelham Kota Binjai from 2015 to 2017 is considered
inefficient. In 2015, the results were BOR value of 40,31%, LOS of 3,82 days, TOI
5,66 days, BTO 38,49 times; while in 2016 the values were BOR 42,02%, LOS
3,82 days, TOI 5,29 days, BTO 40,00 times; and in 2017 the values were BOR
40,53%, LOS 4,21 days, TOI 6,18 days, BTO 35,12 times. Thus, this research
objective was to analyze the efficiency of inpatient services in RSUD Dr. R.M.
Djoelham Kota Binjai and the factors affecting it. The research was done using a
qualitative approach. Data were collected by in-depth interview with 11 (eleven)
informants consisting of : the head of the Nursing Department, inpatient nurses,
medical record staffs, Emergency Room administrative staffs, head of the Service
and Care Department, inpatients receiving care; and also from the hospital’s
secondary data. The result of the research showed that based on the Barber-
Johnson graph, from 9 (nine) inpatient rooms, only 2 (two) rooms that fulfilled the
efficiency category. The inefficiency of inpatient services in RSUD Dr. R.M.
Djoelham Kota Binjai was due to the discrepancy between the number of beds
and the number of patients, and the short period of inpatient services. The factors
affecting the efficiency of inpatient hospital services are the lack of facilities and
infrastructures especially medical support facilities, the condition of the patients
themselves, and the existing government policy in the Jaminan Kesehatan
Nasional (JKN) era. The conclusion of the research is that in 2018, RSUD Dr.
R.M. Djoelham Kota Binjai is still not in the efficient category of Barber-Johnson
graph. Strategies that could be applied are reallocating the existing beds, and
doing maintenance and repairs to the medical support facilities and tools to
improve the efficiency of the inpatient care service.Efisiensi pelayanan rawat inap di rumah sakit dapat dinilai dengan menggunakan
empat parameter Grafik Barber-Johnson yang berkaitan dengan pemanfaatan
tempat tidur yang tersedia di rumah sakit. Nilai indikator efisiensi Barber-Johnson
di RSUD Dr. R.M. Djoelham Kota Binjai pada tahun 2015 hingga 2017 belum
efisien. Tahun 2015 diperoleh nilai BOR 40,31%, LOS 3,82 hari, TOI 5,66 hari,
BTO 38,49 kali, tahun 2016 diperoleh nilai BOR 42,02%, LOS 3,82 hari, TOI
5,29 hari, BTO 40,00 kali, dan tahun 2017 diperoleh nilai BOR 40,53%, LOS 4,21
hari, TOI 6,18 hari, BTO 35,12 kali. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
menganalisis efisiensi pelayanan rawat inap di RSUD Dr. R.M. Djoelham Kota
memperbaiki kondsi alat-alat penunjang pelayanan medis agar pelayanan rawat
inap menjadi efisien.Skripsi Sarjan

R.M. Simmons presentation, Rena Smart book review
R.M. Simmons of the Gospel Music Workshop of America gives a presentation on the African influence in the African American religious experience. He explains how African slaves brought to America their concept of music (utilitarian concept of music). Simmons further discusses the fusion between the utilitarian concept and the Western concept of religion resulting in spirituals. He also describes hymn categories in early forms of formal African American worship experiences. Simmons takes questions from the audience among which is Dr. Riggins Earl Jr. Video concludes with a book review on Christian Theology and Ethics by Rena Smart. The Atlanta University Center Robert W. Comparison of the α and β isomeric forms of the detergent n-dodecyl-D-maltoside for solubilizing photosynthetic complexes from pea thylakoid membranes
AbstractMild non-ionic detergents are indispensable in the isolation of intact integral membrane proteins and protein-complexes from biological membranes. Dodecylmaltoside (DM) belongs to this class of detergents being a glucoside-based surfactant with a bulky hydrophilic head group composed of two sugar rings and a non-charged alkyl glycoside chain. Two isomers of this molecule exist, differing only in the configuration of the alkyl chain around the anomeric center of the carbohydrate head group, axial in α-DM and equatorial in β-DM. In this paper, we have investigated the solubilizing properties of α-DM and β-DM on the isolation of photosynthetic complexes from pea thylakoids membranes maintaining their native architecture of stacked grana and stroma lamellae. Exposure of these stacked thylakoids to a single step treatment with increasing concentrations (5–100mM) of α-DM or β-DM resulted in a quick partial or complete solubilization of the membranes. Regardless of the isomeric form used: 1) at the lowest DM concentrations only a partial solubilization of thylakoids was achieved, giving rise to the release of mainly small protein complexes mixed with membrane fragments enriched in PSI from stroma lamellae; 2) at concentrations above 30mM a complete solubilization occurred with the further release of high molecular weight protein complexes identified as dimeric PSII, PSI-LHCI and PSII–LHCII supercomplexes. However, at concentrations of detergent which fully solubilized the thylakoids, the α and β isomeric forms of DM exerted a somewhat different solubilizing effect on the membranes: higher abundance of larger sized PSII–LHCII supercomplexes retaining a higher proportion of LHCII and lower amounts of PSI–LHCI intermediates were observed in α-DM treated membranes, reflecting the mildness of α-DM compared with its isomer. Velocity-Gradient Probability Distribution Functions in a Lagrangian Model of Turbulence
The Recent Fluid Deformation Closure (RFDC) model of lagrangian turbulence is recast in path-integral language within the framework of the Martin-Siggia-Rose functional formalism. In order to derive analytical expressions for the velocity-gradient probability distribution functions (vgPDFs), we carry out noise renormalization in the low-frequency regime and find approximate extrema for the Martin-Siggia-Rose effective action. We verify, with the help of Monte Carlo simulations, that the vgPDFs so obtained yield a close description of the single-point statistical features implied by the original RFDC stochastic differential equations

Colonising "The Coral Island": A Postcolonial Reading of R.M. Ballantyne's Children's "Classic"
student essayBeing written during the rise of the British Empire in the 1850sm R.M. Ballantyne's boys' adventure story "The Coral Island" is in many ways a product of its time, conveying imperial ideas and Victorian values to the young reader. Through his portrayal of the native inhabitants in relation to his descriptions of the three British protagonists, the author creates a stereotyped image of the natives as primitive savages. Due to the further use of a first person narrator and realist pretensions, the dated racist ideas become influential upon the reader. In spite of the fact that the novel has been considered as an entertaining children's classic by generations since its first publication, "The Coral Island" should not be classified as good children's literature today but should rather be historicised as a result of its controversial contents. By adopting a postcolonial approach and applying postcolonial theory in my analysis of R.M. Ballantyne's "The Coral Island", I have in this essay endeavoured to demonstrate in what ways the novel would prove problematic as a children's book today. In my first chapter I present the imperial ideas and Victorian values that are conveyed, whereas in my second chapter I discuss Ballantyne's stereotyping of the natives. As a result of my study of this novel, I have exemplified how the author portrays the three British boys as representative of the Victorian ideals of the time. I have also illustrated their assumed superiority over nature and their roles as colonisers. Furthermore, my analysis of "The Coral Island" has revealed how Ballantyne communicates both white superiority as well as the Western "oblibation" to civilise primitive people throug Christian conversion. Consequently, the novel promotes the ideology of its time. As a result of my findings, I would like to argue that "The Coral Island" should today be viewed as a text conveying historical ideas and values rather than as an exciting children's classic
