In equity crowdfunding, the collection of financial resouces in favor of s.r.l. PMI occurs, very often, through the issue of shareholdings at a price that is destined for the formation of the share capital in an almost simbolic way, against a surcharge that means that the subscriber is committed for almost the entire amount paid. Given this situation, the purpose is to examine the discipline related to the information of the subscriber and to assess whether the rules for the protection of the category shareholders are adequate to protect them from the danger of abuse. To this end, the rules on the share capital increase of s.r.l. PMI to determine the surcharge and the discipline estabilished by the Consob Regulation have been considered by comparing them with those safeguards which are in place for the retail investor in the t.u.f

This essay investigates the liturgical-musical codes of the Cathedral, the St. Francis Convent and the Monastery of St. Clare in Oristano (XI-XVII centuries), on the basis of an international critical approach and a new interdisciplinary and descriptive model. The manuscripts considered form part of the only collection of liturgy books illuminated with neums in Sardinia. The majority of codes and the iconography – 18 manuscripts and numerous fragments, c.a. 3,400 parchments, 159 illuminations – were unpublished, with the only exception of a inventory with wrong datations (Lucca, 1911). All of the liturgical and musical formularies, and the biblical references have been traced and collated with the main repertoires. This study also shows cross references with a historical analysis and a critical Glossary by the author, published in the same volume and edited by the author himself (a CDRom is included). Among the codes is the corpus ACO P. III-VIII, a monumental Antiphonary in 6 volumes produced in the Tuscan-Emilian area in the XIII4/4 century. This is one of the most important sources of the Roman-Franciscan ritual after the reformations of Haymo of Faversham (1244) and Nicholas III (1277-1280). Hundreds of its facsimiles, in colour, have been considered. A bibliography of 274 references provides the primary research tools in the area of liturgical-musical code analysis

Has a fermiophobic Higgs boson been detected at the LHC?

We show that, in the present inclusive searches for the Higgs boson at the LHC, a fermiophobic Higgs mimics the standard-model-like Higgs if its mass is around 125 GeV. For that mass the order-of-magnitude reduction of fermiophobic Higgs production cross sections is compensated by a corresponding increase in the Higgs branching fraction into gamma gamma, while the WW*, ZZ*, Z gamma signal yields are predicted to be somewhat smaller. The excess seen in the ATLAS and CMS fermiophobic Higgs boson searches in the gamma gamma channel, including the exclusive vector-boson-fusion analysis, could point to a fermiophobic rather than a standard-model Higgs boson, lithe Higgs boson will turn out to be fermiophobic, many of our present ideas of new physics should be revised. Dark photon searches via Higgs boson production at the LHC and beyond

    No full text
Many scenarios beyond the standard model, aiming to solve long-standing cosmological and particle physics problems, suggest that dark matter might experience long-distance interactions mediated by an unbroken dark U(1)U(1) gauge symmetry, hence foreseeing the existence of a massless dark photon. Contrary to the massive dark photon, a massless dark photon can only couple to the standard model sector by means of effective higher dimensional operators. Massless dark-photon production at colliders will then in general be suppressed at low energy by a UV energy scale, which is of the order of the masses of portal (messenger) fields connecting the dark and the observable sectors. A violation of this expectation is provided by dark-photon production mediated by the Higgs boson, thanks to the non-decoupling Higgs properties. Higgs-boson production at colliders, followed by the Higgs decay into a photon and a dark photon, provides then a very promising production mechanism for the dark photon discovery, being insensitive in particular regimes to the UV scale of the new physics. This decay channel gives rise to a peculiar signature characterized by a monochromatic photon with energy half the Higgs mass (in the Higgs rest frame) plus missing energy. We show how such resonant photon-plus-missing-energy signature can uniquely be connected to a dark photon production. Higgs boson production and decay into a photon and a dark photon as a source of dark photons is reviewed at the Large Hadron Collider, in the light of the present bounds on the corresponding signature by the CMS and ATLAS collaborations. Perspectives for the dark-photon production in Higgs-mediated processes at future e+ee^+e^- colliders are also discussed.Comment: same as published version, text improved, new references added, 41 pages, 14 figure

A combination of life cycle assessment and knowledge based engineering to evaluate the sustainability of industrial products

    No full text
The Life Cycle Thinking and the Knowledge Based Engineering approaches can be integrated in order to allow a preliminary-rough but effective Life Cycle Assessment, since the first phases of the design of an industrial product. In the present paper, we propose a general framework considering a number of different aspects, mainly concerning the manufacturing choices, but also related to the design of the product. The aim is to overcome the eco design paradox and to provide a tool supporting designer during the product concept to increase its sustainability
