Analysis of Electrical Characteristics of Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Capacitor by Impedance Spectroscopy
The electrical characteristics of AuGe/SiO2/p-Si (MOS) capacitor were analyzed by impedance spectroscopy in a wide frequency range. The equivalent circuit model consisting of a parallel resistor (R-p) and capacitor (C-p) in series with a series resistance (R-s) was found to give a well fit to the measured data of MOS capacitor. The values of R-s, R-p and C-p were obtained from the Cole-Cole plots indicating a single semicircle. The value of C-p remains almost constant while the R-p decreases with bias voltage. Also, the variation of resistance with dc bias voltage showed that conduction mechanism of the capacitor was space charge limited current with exponential trap distribution
Performance and Modelling of PTFE and PTFE plus PANI-based Electrode Modifications in Cylindrical H-Type Microbial Fuel Cells
Microbial fuel cells (MFCs) are advanced bioelectrochemical systems that simultaneously treat wastewater and generate electricity using electroactive bacteria as biocatalysts. In this study, different anode and cathode electrodes were modified using PTFE-based and PTFE+Polyaniline (PANI)-based binders combined with activated carbon and expandable graphite, and their effects on MFC performance were evaluated. The maximum power density values were measured at 85,07 mW/m2 for the PTFE-based electrode and 91,86 mW/m2 for the PTFE+PANI-based electrode. The chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal efficiencies were 80,52% and 80,17% and coulombic efficiencies 2,07% and 2% for the PTFE-based and PTFE+PANI-based electrodes, respectively. Additionally, full factorial design optimization was conducted using design expert 7.0.0, and the modeling results were successfully validated. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the PTFE-based electrode enhances power generation in cylindrical H-type MFCs by improving electron transfer and biofilm formation.Gazi University, Scientific Research Foundation [FDK-2021-7349]Gazi UEniversitesi [FDK-2021-7349]This study was supported by Gazi University, Scientific Research Foundation [Project no: FDK-2021-7349]. Dielectric, conductivity and modulus analysis of AuGe/SiO2/p-Si/AuGe capacitor
In this study, the dielectric, conductivity and modulus properties of AuGe/SiO2/p-Si/AuGe capacitor with interfacial thermal oxide layer were investigated using impedance measurements. These measurements were carried out in a wide frequency range. Dielectric parameters such as dielectric constant (epsilon'), loss (epsilon ''), loss tangent (tan delta), ac conductivity (sigma(ac)), and real (M') and imaginary (M '') component of complex electric modulus (M-star) values were calculated from impedance measurements. Experimental results show that the values of dielectric parameters are a strong function of frequency

Illumination Response of Impedance Properties of Al/Gr-PVA/p-Si (MPS) Device
Admittance measurements including capacitance (C) and conductance (G) of Al/Gr-PVA/p-Si (MPS) device were made at 500 kHz and under dark and 200 mW/cm2 conditions. The illumination response on the electric characteristics of the device was investigated using the C-2-V characteristics. It was observed that the electronic parameters of the device changed depending on the illumination conditions. The doping concentration, Fermi energy and barrier height were obtained using the C-2-V data. The surface state (Nss) was also obtained using capacitance data. The results show that the device can be used as a photocapacitor
Physics-based simulation modeling and optimization of microstructural changes induced by machining and selective laser melting processes in titanium and nickel based alloys
Manufacturing processes may significantly affect the quality of resultant surfaces and structural integrity of the metal end products. Controlling manufacturing process induced changes to the product’s surface integrity may improve the fatigue life and overall reliability of the end product. The goal of this study is to model the phenomena that result in microstructural alterations and improve the surface integrity of the manufactured parts by utilizing physics-based process simulations and other computational methods. Two different (both conventional and advanced) manufacturing processes; i.e. machining of Titanium and Nickel-based alloys and selective laser melting of Nickel-based powder alloys are studied. 3D Finite Element (FE) process simulations are developed and experimental data that validates these process simulation models are generated to compare against predictions. Computational process modeling and optimization have been performed for machining induced microstructure that includes; i) predicting recrystallization and grain size using FE simulations and the Johnson-Mehl-Avrami-Kolmogorov (JMAK) model, ii) predicting microhardness using non-linear regression models and the Random Forests method, and iii) multi-objective machining optimization for minimizing microstructural changes. Experimental analysis and computational process modeling of selective laser melting have been also conducted including; i) microstructural analysis of grain sizes and growth directions using SEM imaging and machine learning algorithms, ii) analysis of thermal imaging for spattering, heating/cooling rates and meltpool size, iii) predicting thermal field, meltpool size, and growth directions via thermal gradients using 3D FE simulations, iv) predicting localized solidification using the Phase Field method. These computational process models and predictive models, once utilized by industry to optimize process parameters, have the ultimate potential to improve performance of products in their service life.Ph.D.Includes bibliographical referencesby Yiğit Muzaffer Ariso

(?asan?’s Compendium of Chronicles) by a Timurid author, ?asan-i Yazd?. After addressing the life and works of the author, the contents of his chronicle, its importance, and its sources (as far as they are mentioned in the text), the introduction discusses the significance of this chapter as a source on the Saljuqs. In addition, this study details linguistic and stylistic features of the text and provides in-depth analysis of its extant copies and an evaluation of its previous studies. T?j ad-D?n ?asan b. Shih?b b. ?usayn-i Yazd? was born around 793/1390-91. He served two Timurid rulers, M?rz? Iskandar b. ?Umar Shaykh and M?rz? Sul??n Mu?ammad Bah?dir b. Baysungur. The author started writing this book in 855/1451 at the order of the Timurid M?rz? Sul??n Mu?ammad b. Baysungur. In Dhu’l-?ijja 855 (25 December 1451-22 January 1452) Mu?ammad b. Baysungur was killed by his brother B?bur. The author then dedicated this work to Babur b. Baysungur. No further information exists in the sources about the author’s life thereafter or the date of his death. J?mi? at-taw?r?kh-i ?asan? can be considered a general history of Islam from its very beginning until the time of its author. This work is one of the most extensive sources on the Saljuqs, particularly about the reign of Sultan Sanjar. For this reason it deserves to be taken into account on the Seljuq historiography. The author had access to Sanjar-n?ma (or Razm-n?ma-yi Sanjar? - R?z-n?ma-yi Sanjar?). He recurrently quotes from this and some other sources that are not extant. Two copies of J?mi? at-taw?r?kh-i ?asan? have survived to our time: 1.MS. Tehran, Iran Library (Kit?bkh?na-yi Mill?-yi ?r?n), 1330. 2. MS. Istanbul, Süleymaniye Library, Fatih 4307
Naili Abdullah Pasha Defter-i Teşrifat (text-analysis)
Başbakanlık Osmanlı Arşivi'nde, A. d. 359 katalog numarasıyla bulunan defter –transkripsiyonunu ve tıpkı basımını yaptığım nüsha-, Sultân I. Mahmud'a sunulduğunu düşündüğüm defter olup bunun hâricinde üç adet nüshası daha bulunmaktadır. In the Ottoman Empire, ceremonies were the most effective way of displaying grandeur. In addition, ceremonies were an important social activity for the Ottoman society. They were carried out according to a pre-determined program and was prepared by a protocol official. If a problem happens regarding the protocol, the highest ranking protocol official would prepare "sûret" in accordance to the books at Office. He would work connected to the Grand Vizier and prepared the "Protocol registries" which would be referred when needed. In mine study, the transcription and evaluation of one of these books, Nâilî Abdullah Pasha's Protocol book, was made. At the Ottoman Prime Ministry Archives, the notebook which could be found with A. d. 359 catalog number, is the notebook that is believed to be a belonging of Sultan I. Mahmut, and it also has three more copies. This work, which Nâilî Abdullah Pasha wrote by compiling the laws of protocol, became known with the name of "Hattlı defter" in the Ottoman history. Primary subject included being; ceremony of greetings in festivals, feasts, acceptance of an envoy, laws concerning the council (Divan-ı Hümayun), funeral and wedding ceremonies, army and navy ceremonies. The style is slightly different from other protocol books, and the author, the rules and bases, have strengthened the narrative by giving examples of the cerenomies performed in various dates. This Notebook is a very important sourve both for the people who study Ottoman state protocols and for the researchers of the other fields of Ottoman history
