Marta Baez is from the Dominican Republic. Baez got married when she was young, had kids and couldn\u27t finish school because she had to work to support her family. Her husband decided to immigrate to the USA. Some years later, Baez followed her husband. Baez lived in New York City where she worked to be able to bring her children to the US. Baez faced some cultural differences, particularly access to familiar foods, when she first immigrated. Eventually, Baez and her husband were able to bring their children to the USA, where her children attended university.
