Planar SIW diplexer using circular cavity resonator
No full textThis paper presents a new design of planar diplexer
based on substrate integrated waveguide single mode filters with
circular cavity. The diplexer consists of two bandpass filters. The
design is based on Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW)
substrate fabricated by printed circuit board technique. The
individual bandpass filters using the TM010 mode SIW circular
resonator were designed at 2.2 GHz and 2.4 GHz. The simulation
return losses for the lower and upper channels are greater than
20.94 dB and 30.92 dB respectively. The minimum insertion
losses obtained are 0.87 dB and 0.74 dB at each band. The
diplexer provides isolation better than 15 dB at both channels.
The simulation results are in good congruent with the ideal
electrical modelling response. The proposed SIW diplexer has a
promising application for the uplink/downlink RF front end
subsystem that is essential for wireless communications systems
Solipsism: Understanding Japanese Culture Through the Novel "Namaku Hiroko" by N.H. DINI (A Critical Students Discussion Perspective)
Get PDFThe aim of this research is to reveal the concept of solipsism in understanding Japanese culture in the novel Namaku Hiroko by N.H. Dini. This research raises three main problems, namely; Japanese culture, the author\u27s perspective, and the manifestation of solipsism in literary works. The aim of this research was formulated to find out; 1) the author\u27s perspective on solipsism in Japanese culture, and 2) the form of solipsism itself in literary works. Of course the literary work referred to here is the novel Namaku Hiroko by N.H. Dini. The theory of solipsism is used to understand the experience of the novel writer Namaku Hiroko in understanding culture, including the concepts and perspectives of Japanese culture as depicted in the work of N.H. Dini. Qualitative research methods with a phenomenological approach are used in this research to describe everything related to Japanese culture based on a critical student discussion. This study found that the principle of solipsism exists in Japanese culture as outlined by NH. Dini in Namaku Hiroko
POPULAR PARTICIPATION IN THE MANAGEMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES: LESSONS FROM BABAN RAFI, NIGER
Get PDFThis paper is divided into six chapters. The first introduces the central issue under investigation: the hypothesized relation between devolution of authority over natural resources and the sustainable exploitation of those resources. This chapter also provides a discussion of the research methodology employed in the course of the investigation. Chapters 2 and 3 constitute a unit compiling a broad composite of social and (to a lesser degree) physical traits relevant to locally prevailing resource exploitation practices and patterns. Thus chapter 2 consists of a detailed physical and social profile of the site of Baban Rafi, while chapter 3 focuses on past and present resource use and tenure systems. Chapters 4 and 5 address the broad institutional issues that, it is argued, will substantially determine the potential for success of policies based on devolution of forest resource use and management rights. Such issues include present and past legislation and policy, the nature and strength of state structures, state-civil society relations, social structures and organization, intercultural relations, and markets. Chapter 4 describes the institutional and policy environment from a national perspective, while chapter 5 investigates the composition and impact of institutions at the site of Baban Rafi. Chapter 6 summarizes the findings and states the conclusions of the study.
