Risultati e prospettive dell'immunofluorimetria nello screening dell'ipotiroidismo congenito
Intraobserver agreement in interpretation of digital epiluminescence microscopy
Although a major problem with the classification of epiluminescence microscopy (ELM) findings is the lack of standard definitions, reproducibility of the criteria proposed has never been investigated

The role of dermoscopy and digital dermoscopy analysis in the diagnosis of pigmented skin lesions
IN THE PAST FEW DECADES, THE INCIDENCE RATE OF cutaneous melanoma has increased more rapidly than for any other cancer.1,2 This has been attributed partly to a real change in the incidence rate of the disease and partly to greater surveillance. 3,4 Unfortunately, advanced melanoma is still practically incurable, and a favorable prognosis depends on specific prevention and early detection. Recognition in the initial stage is currently the best factor for complete recovery.5 Diagnostic accuracy has improved since noninvasive methods such as classic or digital epiluminescence dermoscopy and digital dermoscopy analysis (DDA) became available to dermatologists.6-10 These methods permit enlargement and evaluation of lesion images from the surface down to the depth of the dermoepidermal junction.
Many studies7,11 have shown a significantly improved accuracy in diagnosing melanoma when these instruments are used by expert clinicians. However, many dermatologists are still diffident about using instruments or machines to diagnose melanoma
