No full textBu görüşme, Tarih Vakfı'nın yürütücülüğünü üstlendiği Türkiye'de İnsan Hakları ve Sivil Toplum Gelişiminin Görsel Anlatımı projesi kapsamında, Hikayemi dinler misin? Tanıklıklarla Türkiye'de İnsan Hakları ve Sivil Toplum başlığı altında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu proje kapsamında yapılan görüşmelerin sayısı 32'dir.1922 yılında doğan Müeyyet Boratav, 1940’lı yıllarda üniversitelerdeki siyasi örgütlenmeden bahsederek görüşmeye başlar. Tıbbiye son sınıftayken Süleymaniye Camii’ne siyasi bir afiş yapıştırırken yaralanan bir vatandaşa pansuman yaptığı gerekçesiyle tutuklandığını ve işkenceye maruz kaldığını söyler. Sonrasında çeşitli sebeplerden ötürü yaklaşık 8 ay hücrede kaldığını dile getiren Boratav, hücreden çıktıktan sonra Tophane Cezaevi’ne gönderilir. Cezaevinden çıktıktan sonra zorunlu görev için Adana’ya giden Boratav, görevi bitince askere alınır. Askerlik dönüşü, hakkındaki soruşturma sebebiyle asistan olarak fakat maaşsız görev yapar. Uzmanlık sınavını kazandıktan sonra Zeytinburnu’na başhekim olarak tayin olur. Zeytinburnu’nda 37 sene başhekimlik yaptığını, bir süre sonra Kasımpaşa’da muayenehane açtığını ve mesleğine 50 senedir devam ettiğini ifade eder.Avrupa KomisyonuTarih VakfıHikayemi dinler misin? It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Devletleri önderliğinde komünizmin yayılmasına karşı uygulanan mücadele kapsamında,
Türkiye’de birçok sol tandanslı fikir insanı devlet kadrolarından tasnif edilmiştir. Bu kişilerin
içinde, dönemin en önemli dil bilimcilerinden biri olan değerlendirilen, Ankara Üniversitesi Dil
ve Tarih-Coğrafya Fakültesinin Halk Edebiyatı Kürsüsü Başkanı olan Pertev Naili Boratav yer
almaktadır. İlerleyen dönemlerde Pertev Naili Boratav’ın oğlu olan ve alanının en önde gelen
akademisyenlerinden biri olarak bilinen iktisatçı Korkut Boratav da benzer sebeplerden dolayı
görevinden tasfiye edilmiştir. Korkut Boratav, Marksist iktisat anlayışının Türkiye’de
gelişmesinde oynadığı rolün yanı sıra, Türkiye iktisat tarihine dair yaptığı incelemelerle birlikte
iktisat camiası içerisinde önemli bir yer edinmiştir. Bu araştırmada Boratav ailesinden başlamak
üzere Korkut Boratav’ın hayatı, eserleri ve Türkiye iktisat tarihine yaptığı katkılar anlatılmıştır.Especially after the establishment of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic,
under the influence of an anti Communism campaign led by the United States of America, many
left-leaning statesmen and intellectuals were dismissed from their civil service positions. One
of those people was Pertev Naili Boratav, who has been perceived as one of the most
distinguished linguists of his time and was also the chair professor of folk literature at the
Ankara University’s Faculty of Language and History – Geography. In the following periods,
Korkut Boratav, son of Pertev Naili Boratav, who was a leading academician in the field of
economics, had also been dismissed from his civil service position due to the similar reasons
that led to the dismissal of his father, Pertev Naili Boratav. Korkut Boratav, apart from the
profound impact he had on the development of cognisance of Marxist economics in Turkey,
also had gained a foothold due to his valuable contributions through his analysis of the
economic history of Turkey. This article will elaborate on his private life, his works and his

Correspondence Between Pertev Naili Boratav And Oğuz Tansel / PERTEV NAILI BORATAV-OĞUZ TANSEL MEKTUPLAŞMASI
No full textProf. Dr. Pertev Naili Boratav who studied in various fields of folklore and produced
many works is one of the researchers played an important role in winning the real meaning
of scientific and dignity of folklore studies in Turkey. Oğuz Tansel as Boratav’s student is
both a major poet and a writer as well as a major folklore researcher. As a whole, Pertev
Naili Boratav as teacher is the one of the most contributors to the formation of Oğuz Tansel
name but particularly the emergence and development of Tansel’s folklorist identity. Oğuz
Tansel who had been interested in folk culture thanks to the growing environment since his
early years placed his interests to a scientific ground after meeting with Boratav. With this
meeting, the foundation of a strong and lifelong friendship including family member between
Boratav and Tansel is discarded. So in the forthcoming period, Boratav and Tansel began a
correspondence including the evaluation and discussion on the scientific, artistic, cultural
and personal issues and they corresponded for years extending from the 1950s to the 1990s.
Today, some of these mutual letters are in the private archive of Tansel family and some are
in the Archive of Pertev Naili Boratav in History Foundation. This study aims to introduce
these letters to especially folklore, the scientific and art circles related with Boratav and
Tansel. Therefore, in this study, the letters are dealt with major outline and evaluated in terms
of form and content features
