A.D. The interest of the present context consists not only in its limited relative chronology, documenting a period not very visible on the site, but also because of its composition, in which are represented all classes of pottery which constituted the whole home equipment of the period. No full textLa parte più occidentale dell’isolato centrale ha restituito, nelle recenti campagne di scavo, alcuni ambienti che disegnano la planimetria di più edifici abitativi. A uno di questi, denominato ‘Casa del Pozzo Antico’ per la vicinanza al c.d. Pozzo Nuragico, sono pertinenti alcuni vani che gravitano attorno a un’area artigianale e che risultano riempiti con materiali di scarico. L’analisi di tali materiali, qui presentata, fornisce nuovi dati sulle fasi di abbandono dell’edificio e consente di formulare nuove ipotesi di lavoro per l’avanzamento delle indagini nell’area.The western part of the central urban sector recently revealed new rooms outlining the plan of several residential buildings. To one of these, called ‘Casa del Pozzo Antico’, belong some rooms gravitating in a craft area and filled with dumping layers. The analysis of the finds provides new data on the abandonment phases of the building and allows to state new hypotheses for the development of researches in this area

No full textThe paper aims to present the parameters used in the research on roman tabernae to realize a data base. The aims to investigate these buildings from a planimetric point of view has forced us to develop a ‘taberna form’ focused to standardizing the collected data. We prepared in fact a tool which, in addition to a first part dedicated to the contextualization of archaeological data (site form) we provided for all those structural features that were deemed “archaeological indicators”, not only of the activities and practices related to the sale, but also of the presence of productive activities and of the possibility that the workshop could be also used as house of the trader/craftsman

Tabernae a Ostia: alcune considerazioni
No full textAs is well known, in Ostia everyday life was strongly guided by the trades, so much that G. Girri in her survey counted more than 800 tabernae. They are the archaeological reflection of the expansion of the middle and middle-lower classes in imperial Roman society, in which framework Ostia completes the Pompeian documentation providing data on the mid-and late imperial phases, thanks to the evidence of the walls. The Ostia’s tabernae survey was recently the subject of a new revitalization and fits into the wider context of a research aimed to the reconstruction of social behavior which rotate around the retail business in the Roman city, that was developed on the basis of the recent acquisitions in the Pompeian field. Specifically, through the intersection of the data related to architectural and structural parameters, in this paper I will investigate the path of the inside development of the taberna and its relationship with the city, attempting to verify or not the existence of recurring and paradigmatic features
