Existential prime convex Jonsson theories and their models
This article is devoted to the study of the model - theoretic properties of special subclasses of Jonsson theories and their classes of models. Namely, introduce a new class of Jonsson theories is existentially prime convex Jonsson theories. The notion of convexity of theory was previously known, it was introduced by A.Robinson. The notion of existential simplicity introduced by the author of this article. Both conditions form a broad natural classes of theories. Thus two natural restrictions on Jonsson define a new class of theories with rich model - theoretic properties. Besides defined formulation of the problem, which define a new direction in the study Jonsson theories
Subject Without Nation : Robert Musil and the History of Modern Identity
This innovative study of the works of Robert Musil opens a new window on the history of modern identity in western culture. Stefan Jonsson argues that Musil’s Austria was the first postimperial state in modern Europe. Prior to its destruction in 1918, the Austro-Hungarian Empire had ruled over a vast array of nationalities and, in the course of its demise as well as after, Austria was beset by nationalism, racism, and other forms of identity politics that ultimately led to the triumph of Nazism. It was to this society that Musil responded in his great work The Man Without Qualities. Exploring the nooks and crannies of this modernist classic, Jonsson shows that Musil’s narrative evolves along two axes that must be considered in tandem: Whereas the central plot portrays a Viennese elite that in 1913 attempts to restore social cohesion by gathering popular support for the cultural essence of the empire, the protagonist discovers that he lacks essence altogether and finds himself attracted by monsters, criminals, and revolutionary figures that reject the social order. In this way, Musil’s novel traces the disappearance of what Jonsson calls the expressivist paradigm—the conviction that identities such as gender, nationality, class, and social character are expressions of permanent intrinsic dispositions. This, Jonsson argues, is Musil’s great legacy. For not only did the Austrian author seek to liquidate prevailing conceptions of personal and cultural identity; he also projected “a new human being,” one who would resist assimilation into imperialist, nationalist, or fascist communities.Subject Without Nation presents a new interpretation of Viennese modernity and uncovers the historical foundations of poststructural and postcolonial reconceptualizations of human subjectivity. Illuminating links between Musil’s oeuvre as a whole and post-war developments in critical thought, this book locates an important crossroads between literary criticism, intellectual history, and cultural theory.</p

Privacy Violation and Detection Using Pattern Mining Techniques
Privacy, its violations and techniques to bypass privacy violation have grabbed the centre-stage of both academia and industry in recent months. Corporations worldwide have become conscious of the implications of privacy violation and its impact on them and to other stakeholders. Moreover, nations across the world are coming out with privacy protecting legislations to prevent data privacy violations. Such legislations however expose organizations to the issues of intentional or unintentional violation of privacy data. A violation by either malicious external hackers or by internal employees can expose the organizations to costly litigations. In this paper, we propose PRIVDAM; a data mining based intelligent architecture of a Privacy Violation Detection and Monitoring system whose purpose is to detect possible privacy violations and to prevent them in the future. Experimental evaluations show that our approach is scalable and robust and that it can detect privacy violations or chances of violations quite accurately. En studie om skattens påverkan på ungdomsarbetslöshet i 13 industriländer
Title: Youth unemployment- A study of the tax effect on youth unemployment in 13 European industrial countries Seminary date: 2009-02-06 Course: NEK691 – Bachelor thesis, 15 p Author: Emma Jonsson Tutor: Klas Fregert Keywords: Youth unemployment, tax, 13 European industrial countries, panel data, multiple regression analysis. Purpose: The purpose is to examine the reasons behind youth unemployment with a special focus on tax policy. Method: By using a multiple regression analysis examined with panel data from 13 European industrial countries for the period 1998 to 2004. The dependent variable youth unemployment is explained by five independent variables. Conclusion: The thesis found a negative correlation between youth unemployment and tax. It may be related to the type of tax that is used in the study as well as the countries chosen, but also the time it takes before one can see the effects from the tax changes
Connecting the Dots – Intertextuality and Narrative in LazyTown
Title: Connecting the Dots – Intertextuality and Narrative in LazyTown
Author: Daniel Jonsson
Tutor: Marie Grusell
Course: Media and Communication Studies Advanced Level
Period: Spring 2010
Summary: The aim of this study is to analyze the intertextual and narrative components of
the children’s TV-program LazyTown. This show has become very successful internationally,
making it a rewarding subject for this sort of study, as well as the importance that
intertextuality plays in the media today. From the previous research included in this analysis it becomes clear that genre plays a big role when conducting a qualitative analysis such as this one, and that one must always keep the intended target audience in mind. Characterization is the part of narrative theory that are in focus in this study. Resultwise it became apparent that
there are few specific intertextual allusions, instead the intertextuality lies in the thematic
broad strokes; for example what a single episode is about. The characters of LazyTown are defined as various stereotypes; such as the hero, villain, disciple and so on
We are moving towards a more digitalized everyday life. With this, digitalization has alsoentered the recruitment of job seekers, making it easier for companies to receive applications.Unfortunately, this has resulted in job seekers being left out of the recruitment process. Themajority of job seekers feel that they do not receive any feedback during the recruitmentprocess. This report explores how to build good feedback between job seekers and employersthrough UX/UI. This will be explored through conducting surveys and building a prototype. The result of this project showed that job seekers want a clear and simple overview of therecruitment process and control over their notifications related to the recruitment process. Method of the rheostat for studying properties of fragments of theoretical sets
In this article discusses the model-theoretical properties of fragments of theoretical sets and the rheostat method. These two concepts: theoretical set and rheostat are new. The study of this topic in the framework of the study of Jonsson theories, the Jonsson spectrum, classes of existentially closed models of such fragments is a new promising class of problems and their solution is closely related to many problems that once defined the classical problems of model theory. The purpose of this article is to determine the rheostat of the transition from complete theory to Jonsson theory, which will be consistent with the corresponding concepts for any α and any α-Jonsson theory. For this we define a theoretical set. On the basis of research by the author formulated a model-theoretical definition of the concept of a rheostat in the transition from complete theories to ϕ(x)-theoretically convex Jonsson sets. Also was formulated an application of h-syntactic similarity to α-Jonsson theories
The Forecasting Properties of Survey-Based Wage-Growth Expectations
In this paper, we evaluate survey-based wage-growth expectations in Sweden. Results show that the expectations are neither unbiased nor efficient forecasts. Evaluating out-of-sample forecasting performance, we find that the survey participants generally perform worse than a con-stant forecast based on reasonable assumptions regarding the inflation target and productivity growth. Our findings indicate that caution should be exercised when relying on these data for policymaking.Survey data;
