Køb af B-t-B-serviceydelser - Konceptualisering af industriel købsadfærd i forbindelse med hr-konsulentydelser
No full textI den tidlige B-t-B-købsadfærdslitteratur har man lagt megen vægt på, at købsadfærden i forbindelse med B-t-B-serviceydelser er meget rationel præget. Gennem en større eksplorativ undersøgelse af danske virksomheders indkøb af konsulentydelser inden for hr, har forfatterne fået indblik i de faktorer, som bestemmer danske virksomheders valg af leverandør inden for konsulentydelser. På grundlag af et litteratur review er der udviklet fem hypoteser. Resultaterne viser, at købsadfærden er langt mindre rationel end hidtil antaget. Det viser sig f.eks., at konsulentens personlige relationer til kunderne ofte kan kompensere for mangler i konsulentens faglige viden. Dette betyder bl.a., at konsulenternes udvikling af langvarige personlige relationer til kunderne er en af de vigtigste nøglesuccesfaktorer i konsulentbranchen. Et andet vigtigt resultat af undersøgelsen er kundernes specifikke ønske om at deltage aktivt i produktionen af konsulentserviceydelserne
Population prevalence, incidence, and predictors of atrial fibrillation in the Renfrew/Paisley study
No full text<b>OBJECTIVES</b> Though atrial fibrillation (AF) is an important cause of cardiovascular morbidity, there are few large epidemiological studies of its prevalence, incidence, and risk factors. The epidemiological features of AF are described in one of the largest population cohorts ever studied.
<b>METHODS</b> The prevalence and incidence of AF were studied in the Renfrew/Paisley population cohort of 15 406 men and women aged 45-64 years living in the west of Scotland. This cohort was initially screened between 1972 and 1976 and again between 1977 and 1979. Incident hospitalisations with AF in the 20 year period following initial screening were also studied.
<b>RESULTS</b> The population prevalence of AF in this cohort was 6.5 cases/1000 examinations. Prevalence was higher in men and older subjects. In those who were rescreened, the four year incidence of AF was 0.54 cases/1000 person years. Radiological cardiomegaly was the most powerful predictor of new AF (adjusted odds ratio 14.0). During 20 year follow up, 3.5% of this cohort was discharged from hospital with a diagnosis of AF; the rate of incident hospitalisation for AF was 1.9 cases/1000 person years. Radiological cardiomegaly (adjusted odds ratio 1.46) and systolic blood pressure (adjusted odds ratio 2.1 for ≥ 169 mm Hg) were independent predictors of this outcome.
<b>CONCLUSIONS</b> Data from one of the largest epidemiological studies ever undertaken confirm that AF has a large population prevalence and incidence, even in middle aged people. More important, it was shown that the long term incidence of hospitalisation related to AF is high and that two simple clinical measurements are highly predictive of incident AF. Protective effects of curcumin against aflatoxicosis: A comprehensive review.
No full textAflatoxicosis is a deleterious medical condition that results from aflatoxins (AFs) or ochratoxins (OTs). Contamination with these toxins exerts detrimental effects on the liver, kidneys, reproductive organs, and also on immunological and cardiovascular systems. Aflatoxicosis is closely associated with overproduction of reactive oxygen species (ROS) as key contributors to oxidative and nitrosative stress responses, and subsequent damages to lipids, proteins, RNA, and DNA. The main target organ for AF toxicity is the liver, where DNA adducts, degranulation of endoplasmic reticulum, increased hepatic lipid peroxide, GSH depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and reduction of enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidants are manifestations of aflatoxicosis. Curcuma longa L. (turmeric) is a medicinal plant widely utilized all over the world for culinary and phytomedical purposes. Considering the antioxidant characteristic of curcumin, the main active component of turmeric, this review is intended to critically summarize the available evidence supporting possible effectiveness of curcumin against aflatoxicosis. Curcumin can serve as a promising candidate for attenuation of the adverse consequences of aflatoxicosis, acting mainly through intrinsic antioxidant effects aroused from its structure, modulation of the immune system as reflected by interleukin-1 and transforming growth factor-, and interfering with AF's biotransformation by cytochrome P450 isoenzymes CYP1A, CYP3A, CYP2A, CYP2B, and CYP2C

ændrer telefonen karakter fra at være en kanal for kommunikation til at
være et medie for flere funktioner, samtidig med at dens konkrete og sym-
bolske betydning forstærkes. Dette kan i særlig grad aflæses i større børns
og unges brug af telefonen, der dels er karakteriseret ved stor selvfølgelig-
hed, dels ved at have en betydning, der rækker ud over funktioner: den er
markør af ungdomskultur, den er garant for tryghed, og den muliggør fast-
holdelse af sociale og personlige relationer. Telefonen befordrer etablering-
en af et virtuelt rum, hvor intimitet og fortrolighed er mulig. Set i lyset af den
informationsteknologiske udvikling, der har bragt e-mail, chat og andre for-
mer for on- og offline kommunikation ind i de fleste unge danskeres tilvæ-

Toward solution of matrix equation X=Af(X)B+C
No full textThis paper studies the solvability, existence of unique solution, closed-form solution and numerical solution of matrix equation X=Af(X) B+C with f(X)=X T, f(X)=X and f(X)=X H, where X is the unknown. It is proven that the solvability of these equations is equivalent to the solvability of some auxiliary standard Stein equations in the form of W=AWB+C where the dimensions of the coefficient matrices A,B and C are the same as those of the original equation. Closed-form solutions of equation X=Af(X) B+C can then be obtained by utilizing standard results on the standard Stein equation. On the other hand, some generalized Stein iterations and accelerated Stein iterations are proposed to obtain numerical solutions of equation X=Af(X) B+C. No full textThe 12 AF samples and the 25 other STS samples were clustered using the Eisen clustering software Cluster as described in the text. The 16 samples that cluster with AF-1 to AF-5 (open squares) using all 3 gene sets are indicated by open circles. The 6 samples that cluster with AF-6 to AF-12 (solid squares) using all 3 gene sets are indicated by closed circles. The clustering of 3 samples (solid triangles) varied with the gene set.
