No full textNadia Passerini is interviewed by Hannah Makin, Commission Editor. Nadia Passerini is Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Bologna (Bologna, Italy). She obtained the degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology at the University of Bologna in 1992 and the PhD in Pharmaceutical Science in 1997. Her research focuses on the study of drug delivery systems, developing new technologies and new apparatus for the production of solid dosage forms (microparticles, granules and tablets), which can optimize the bioavailability of drugs according to the specific needs of the therapy. Furthermore, she is interested in the solid-state characterization of the produced delivery systems in order to correlate their physicochemical properties to the in vitro release of the drugs. Currently, her research focuses in particular on the production and characterization of microparticles produced by the spray congealing technology. She is author of over 50 international peer-reviewed publications and over 50 contributions (poster and oral presentations) to national and international conferences

No full textSebuah karya sastera yang bermutu ialah karya yang dapat membimbing hati dan
jiwa insaniah ke arah kebaikan dan ketakwaan. Justeru, bahan-bahan karya sastera
yang diketengahkan perlu memaparkan nilai-nilai keagamaan yang kukuh agar
dapat memberikan impak yang berkesan terhadap sahsiah dan akhlak manusia
sejagat. Sehubungan dengan itu, kajian ini adalah untuk merungkai nilai-nilai
keagamaan yang terdapat di dalam novel-novel terpilih Azizi Haji Abdullah.
Objektif kajian ini adalah pertama, mengenal pasti nilai-nilai keagamaan dalam
novel-novel terpilih Azizi Haji Abdullah berdasarkan Pengkaedahan Keagamaan
dalam teori Pengkaedahan Melayu. Kedua, mengklasifikasikan nilai-nilai
keagamaan dalam novel-novel terpilih Azizi Haji Abdullah berdasarkan
Pengkaedahan Keagamaan dalam teori Pengkaedahan Melayu. Ketiga,
menganalisis nilai-nilai keagamaan dalam novel-novel terpilih Azizi Haji
Abdullah berdasarkan Pengkaedahan Keagamaan dalam teori Pengkaedahan
Melayu. Selain itu, kerangka analisis kajian yang digunakan ialah teori
Pengkaedahan Melayu oleh Hashim Awang. Kajian ini dibuat berdasarkan
sepuluh buah novel terpilih Azizi Haji Abdullah iaitu dekad 70-an; Senja Belum
Berakhir (1971), Ayah Bonda (1978), dekad 80-an; Seorang Tua di Kaki Gunung
(1982), Dee (1987), dekad 90-an; Cahaya di Pendalaman (1992), Suriati (1993),
Ayahanda (1997), 2000-an Harga Sebuah Maruah (2002), Sangeetha (2006), Zikir
Rindu (2009). Secara ringkasnya, dapatan kajian merumuskan bahawa novel-novel
terpilih Azizi Haji Abdullah tidak memperlihatkan nilai-nilai keagamaan seperti
yang dikehendaki. Menurut teori Pengkaedahan Melayu bagi meletakkan sesebuah
karya sebagai karya yang mempunyai nilai keagamaan, karya tersebut perlu
memperlihatkan ketiga-tiga prinsip pendekatan (Pendekatan Dakwah, Pendekatan
Kemasyarakatan dan Pendekatan Seni) dan empat ciri yang terdapat dalam setiap
pendekatan yang terdapat dalam Pengkaedahan Keagamaan. Dengan
kedudukannya yang sedemikian, ketiadaan salah satu prinsip pendekatan dan
empat ciri tersebut ini, maka sesebuah karya tersebut tidak dapat dikemukakan
sebagai karya yang memperlihatkan nilai-nilai keagamaan

Nadia Boulanger is known to have told her teacher, Gabriel Fauré, that “if there is one thing of which I am certain, it is that my music is worthless.” As a teacher, Boulanger empowered her students to listen for the internal logic present in the pieces of art that she considered valuable. This document will apply Nadia Boulanger’s teachings to her compositions to demonstrate that her music does have worth. To that end, these analyses will compile data to discern the internal logic in her pieces.
As a performer, Nadia Boulanger coupled her analytical beliefs to her performance practice; her concerts were shaped by and carefully crafted to present her analyses. Her formal classes included an informal ticket to hear her commentaries in action. Therefore, in addition to analytical validation, the author intends to demonstrate the value of Nadia Boulanger’s music through the arrangement and performance of her compositions as brass chamber music. as brass chamber music

No full textThis study is about the factors that contribute to insomnia among UiTM students in Kelantan. The purposes of this study are to find out the occurrence of insomnia among students, to identify the association of Insomnia and Gender and to determine which factors significantly contribute to insomnia among UiTM Kelantan students. The variables that involve in this study are Insomnia as the dependent variable and independent variables are Depression, Anxiety, Stress and Life Habit. Factors that contribute to Insomnia among students are important. Mostly the students are not aware about insomnia. The appropriate sample size for this study is 255 out of 752 of UiTM Kelantan students determined by using sample size calculator Raosoft. Inc. However, only 228 respondents give cooperation for this study by answering the questionnaire. This means the response rate is 89.41 percent which is acceptable and considering good. For analysis purpose, SPSS software was used. The methodologies that involve in this study were Logistic Regression and Chi-Squared Test. As overall result, it was found that only Depression that contribute to Insomnia. For the other three which are Anxiety, Stress and Life Habit did not contribute significantly to Insomnia among students in UiTM Kelanta

No full textThis study was done to observe and analyse the required academic requirements, intellectual skills and personal skills for fresh graduates from the perspective of the employers. As commonly understood, academic qualifications are not enough for graduates in current job market. Some employers prefer hiring graduates that has more experience and personal skills which are proven important for current workplace. It is argued that, some employees who excel academically do not necessarily give positive outcomes for the organization development. Also, because of the changing nature of skills needed for today’s competitive marketplace means that qualitative considerations play an increasing role in the selection of graduates. Because of this, there was an increased level of competition between the graduates for available jobs in the market. The objective of this study is to determine the skills possessed by fresh graduates today from the perspective of the employers in order to be able to meet the current job market
