Defensive Enforcement: Human Rights in Indonesia
No full textThe objective of the article is to examine the human rights enforcement in Indonesian legal and political system. This is done by studying the legal basis of human rights, the process of proliferation of human rights discourse, and the actual controversies of human rights enforcement. The study has the effect of highlighting some of the immense deficits in ensuring that violations are treated under judicial procedure and the protection of human rights is available and accessible for victims. The author inevitably came into a conclusion that the openness of legal and political arenas for human rights discourses is not followed with a tangible impact on the entitlement positions of the people. Tradisi merupakan sesuatu yang telah diwariskan oleh para
pendahulu atau nenek moyang secara turun-temurun baik berupa
smbol, prinsip, matrial, benda, maupun kebijakan. Akan tetapi tradisi
yang telah diwariskan tersebut juga bisa berubah maupun tetap
bertahan asalkan tradisi tersebut masih sesuai dan juga relavan dengan
situasi, kondisi serta seiring dengan perubahan zaman. Arak-arakan
kendaraan hias, tradisi unik warga Kecamatan Panjang dalam
menyambut Maulid Nabi yang tak pernah lepas. Tradisi unik yang tak
pernah lepas yakni diadakan berupa arak-arakan atau pawai ta’aruf
menjelang puncak acara peringatan kelahiran Nabi Muhammad SAW
juga dilakukan di beberapa masjid atau mushollah di Kecamatan
Panjang. Di sisi lain pada Hari Natal, umat Katolik bersukacita
menyambut inkarnasi (kelahiran) Yesus, Putra Allah, sebagai manusia
yang mereka pandang sebagai anugerah Tuhan yang paling agung
kepada umat manusia. Dari Uraian di atas maka timbullah sebuah
pertanyaan. Bagaimana tata cara pelaksanaan tradisi peryaan Maulid
Nabi dan Hari Natal di Kecamatan Panjang? Apa yang memotivasi
kedua umat beragama dalam melaksanakan tradisi perayaan Maulid
Nabi dan Hari Natal di Kecamatan Panjang?
Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian lapangan (field
research) dengan jenis penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif.
Penelitian kualitatif merupakan prosedur penelitian yang
menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis atau lisan dari
orang-orang dan perilaku yang diamati. Metode yang akan digunakan
dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif-analisis, yaitu penelitian harus
memberikan gambaran yang rinci dan sistematis tentang Tradisi
Perayaan Maulid Nabi dan Hari Natal di Kecamatan Panjang dengan
mengumpulkan referensi dan data yang telah dikumpulkan. Penelitian
ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan
pendekatan fenomenologi dan sosiologi. Adapun prosedur
pengumpulan data untuk mendukung penelitian dilakukan dengan
observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini, sumber
data yang digunakan oleh penulis ada dua yaitu data primer dan data

sekunder. Data primer diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan beberapa
informan dalam penelitian ini, yakni melibatkan tokoh agama Islam
(Ustadz) dan tokoh agama Katolik (Pastor) dan adapun data sekunder
diperoleh dari data atau dokumentasi, buku-bukum skripsi dan jurnal.
Peringatan Maulid Nabi merupakan bentuk rasa syukur kita
kepada Allah SWT atas nikmat agung yang dianugerahkan kepada
kita berupa diutusnya Rasulullah, sebaik-baik makhluk dan
penghulunya para Nabi dan Rasul. Memperingati Maulid Nabi
Muhammad SAW tujuannya adalah Supaya kenal dan cinta kepada
Nabi Muhammad Saw, tanda-tanda kita cinta dan kenal adalah kita
kenal Nabi dari sejarahnya dan apa-apa yang ditinggalkan Nabi
SAW untuk umatnya, dengan apa yang ditinggalkan Nabi untuk umat
nya tersebut kita dapat mengetahui kepribadian Nabi Muhammad
SAW tersebut. Perayaan Hari Natal adalah merayakan kelahiran
Yesus Kristus, yang diyakini membawa perdamaian, dan suka cita
yang kekal. Hari Natal merupakan hari besar dan sangat dinanti-nanti
oleh umat Katolik di seluruh dunia. Hari Natal bertujuan
memperingati kelahiran Sang Juru Selamat Yesus Kristus. Hari Natal
adalah moment spiritual bagi umat Katolik merayakan kelahiran
Yesus. Lahirnya Yesus menggambarkan kasih Tuhan bagi dunia. Hari
Natal adalah hari raya umat Katolik untuk memperingati hari
kelahiran Yesus Kristus. Bagi umat Katolik di Kecamatan Panjang
perayaan hari Natal bukan hanya sekedar motivasi saja, akan tetapi
memang sudah kewajiban umat Katolik untuk mengerjakan atau
merayakan perayaan Hari Natal.

ABSTRACT
Tradition is something that has been passed down by
predecessors or ancestors from generation to generation in the form
of symbols, principles, materials, objects, and policies. However, the
traditions that have been passed down can also change or persist as
long as the traditions are still appropriate and also relevant to the
situation, conditions and along with the changing times. The
procession of floats, a unique tradition of the residents of Panjang
Subdistrict in welcoming the Prophet's Birthday, which has never
been separated. A unique tradition that has never been separated,
which is held in the form of a procession or ta'aruf parade before the
peak of the commemoration of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, is
also carried out in several mosques or prayer rooms in Panjang
District. On the other hand on Christmas Day, Catholics rejoice to
welcome the incarnation (birth) of Jesus, the Son of God, as a human
being which they view as God's greatest gift to mankind. From the
description above, a question arises. What are the procedures for
carrying out the tradition of celebrating the Prophet's Birthday and
Christmas Day in Panjang District? What motivates the two religious
communities in carrying out the tradition of celebrating the Prophet's
Birthday and Christmas Day?
This research is included in the field research (field research)
with the type of qualitative research that is descriptive. Qualitative
research is a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the
form of written or spoken words from people and observed behavior.
The method that will be used in this research is descriptive-analysis,
that is, the research must provide a detailed and systematic
description of the Traditions of the Prophet's Birthday and Christmas
Day in Panjang District by collecting references and data that have
been collected. This study uses a qualitative research method using a
phenomenological and sociological approach. The data collection
procedures to support the research were carried out by observation,
interviews, and documentation. In this study, there are two sources of
data used by the author, namely primary data and secondary data.
Primary data was obtained through interviews with several
informants in this study, involving Islamic religious leaders (Ustadz)

and Catholic religious leaders (Pastors) and secondary data obtained
from data or documentation, thesis books and journals.
The commemoration of the Prophet's Birthday is a form of our
gratitude to Allah SWT for the great favor bestowed upon us in the
form of sending the Messenger of Allah, the best of creatures and the
head of the Prophets and Apostles. Commemorating the Birthday of
the Prophet Muhammad SAW the goal is to know and love the Prophet
Muhammad, the signs we love and know are that we know the Prophet
from his history and what the Prophet left for his people, with what
the Prophet left for his people we know the personality of the Prophet
Muhammad SAW. Christmas Day is a celebration of the birth of Jesus
Christ, which is believed to bring eternal peace and joy. Christmas is
a big day and is eagerly awaited by Catholics around the world.
Christmas Day aims to commemorate the birth of the Savior Jesus
Christ. Christmas is a spiritual moment for Catholics to celebrate the
birth of Jesus. The birth of Jesus illustrates God's love for the world.
Christmas Day is a Catholic holiday to commemorate the birth of
Jesus Christ. For Catholics in Panjang District, the celebration of
Christmas is not just a motivation, but it is the obligation of Catholics
to do or celebrate Christmas.

By using the smart car, the unloading and movement of the item in postal warehouse or the company can be more organize and faster. The purpose of the project is to modernize Pos Laju work with more organize, fast and to achieve the same level with the other courier service on other countries. The limit of range to control the smart car using smartphone Bluetooth is for 10 metres. The user is able to use the auto mode and set up mode to let the smart car work without the users have to go to in the range to control the smart car. However, the smart car can only carry certain items on top of the car as long as the item is not over 400 grams. The design of the smart car can be redesign so that it can carry big item/parcel without any problem

Smart Water Level Indicator

This technology can provide early warnings to residents when the water level is occupying a dangerous level and facilitates workers who control the dam of the river. This technology can alert early through sirens and notifications / messages via smartphones as well as to the river dashboard controllers capable of controlling water gates through their smartphones. The worker who controls the dam of this river no longer needs to go back to the dam's door control house to open the water dam door. Workers who are in charge of controlling dam need to stand in one place only to open their smartphones and control the dam's doorway using the fingertips. To the people living in the river, they do not have to worry about the floods that will happen in their area. They will get an early warning about the flood at any time even when they are sleeping. They will get the warning via notification on their smartphone and siren is places in a certain area to produce a loud noise so that residents can be prepared to face the disaster.
