    Water that is universal or comprehensive from every aspect of life becomes more valuable both in terms of quantity and quality. However, land use change due to indirect housing development can damage water catchment. One way to maintain water quantity is to apply absorption wells.     Kejadian bahaya tanah longsor sering kali terjadi di daerah perbukitan dan bergunung ditambah dengan tingginya intensitas curah hujan. Kondisi Kecamatan Dempo Utara merupakan wilayah dengan topografi berbukit dan jenis tanah sebagian besar andosol coklat yang peka terhadap erosi. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah tingginya harga perangkat lunak yang berbasis SIG sehingga para perserta kesulitan dalam mengindentifikasi zona bahaya tanah longsor untuk meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan masyarakat. Penggunaan aplikasi ILWIS berbasis open source telah menjadi pilihan utama dalam pelatihan ini, disamping user friendly hasil yang dihasilkan juga tidak kalah dengan aplikasi berbayar lainnya. Pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan metode ceramah dan pendampingan langsung. Kegiatan pelatihan ini tergolong berhasil, karena berdasarkan hasil kuesioner yang telah dilakukan nilai berkisar antara 122 – 145 dengan tingkat sangat memuaskan dan juga dihasilkan peta tingkat bahaya tanah longsor di kecamatan Dempo Utara Kota Pagar Alam.Kejadian bahaya tanah longsor sering kali terjadi dibeberapa daerah yang terletak didaerah perbukitan dan bergunung ditambah dengan tingginya intensitas curah hujan yang terjadi.     Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Ecobrik dari limbah sampah anorganik. Sampah plastik merupakan salah satu masalah besar yang hingga kini belum terselesaikan. Metode yang dilakukan pada Ecobrik ini adalah dengan Teknik pengumpulan sampah anorganik yang terdiri dari botol plastik bekas, baik itu berupa tisu basah dan sampah anorganik yang tidak bisa terurai oleh alam.teknik pengumpulan sampah ini terdiri dari beberapa tahapan yaitu Teknik pengumpulan sampah,pemadatatan sampah dan penyusunan sampah. Manfaat dari teknik Ecobrik ini dapat meminimalisir sampah yang ada sehingga dapat mengurangi jumlah tumpukan sampah yang mengakibatkan karbondioksida di dunia dan juga dapat menghasilkan produk yang dapat dimanfaatkan serta bernilai ekonomis. Produk yang dihasilkan dari pemanfaatan sampah plastic ini berupa kursi, meja dan perabotan rumah tangga lainnya

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed.     “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     ANALISIS TINGKAT BAHAYA EROSI PADA SUB DAS AIR LEMATANG KOTA PAGAR ALAM

    The Lematang Water Basin Sub Watershed is a upstream basin located in Pagar Alam City, South Sumatra. From BPS data (Central Bureau of Statistics) in 2016 the area of ​​Air Lematang sub watershed is 37,500 ha. According to SK Menhut No 866, the total area of ​​protected forest in Pagar Alam city is 26,065 ha and that has been damaged according to data from SLHD (Environmental Status of the Region) is 3,622.65 ha. From the above data the land cover conditions that occur in the sub watershed Water Lematang has experienced degradation of land where the protected forest area has become settlement and agricultural land, so potentially to the erosion of land in the area. The objective of this research is to analyze soil erosion in sub watershed of Lematang Water and to identify the level of erosion hazard in Water Lematang sub watershed. Analysis of Erosion Hazard (TBE) data was performed using the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) formula and approached using the GIS application. The result of the analysis shows the area of ​​land with very light erosion level of 42,335 ha, light 55,150 ha, medium 70,552 ha, weight 22,268 ha, very heavy 30,882 ha. The level of erosion hazard that occurs in the sub watershed Water Lematang included into the medium category has not been too heavy, the action should be taken to maintain and preserve the sub watershed Air Lematang still done because it would be better to continue to do good soil farming so as not to be a serious erosion hazard leve

    Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
