The Approach of Tajdid’s Umar bin Abdul Aziz Rah. Through the Institution of al-Mazalim in Dealing with the issues of Deviation and Misappropriation
The behaviors of deviation, misappropriation, and abuse of power are in direct opposition to the principles and teachings of Islam. Islam strictly prohibits the violation of justice and the betrayal of trust. Nevertheless, instances of deviation, misuse, and abuse of authority by governmental authorities persist. Consequently, the establishment of the al-Mazalim Institution occurred, with its primary objective being to eradicate the vicious actions perpetrated by government officials in power. In the annals of Islamic history, Caliph Umar bin Abdul Aziz Rah. stands out as a renowned figure who successfully eliminated the misconduct exhibited by government officials and reinstated the rights of the populace that had been unlawfully seized. This article aims to provide an overview of Umar bin Abdul Aziz Rah's Tajdid strategy through the al-Mazalim Institution. It will explore how this technique was utilized to enforce justice and prevent individuals from deviating from the government. This research employs a qualitative approach, explicitly using a bibliographic methodology combined with a descriptive content analysis technique. The research data was acquired from scholarly publications and academic books, with a particular emphasis on works about the biographical account of Umar bin Abdul Aziz. The study outcomes demonstrate that Umar bin Abdul Aziz effectively implemented eleven tajdid measures to promote justice and combat governmental corruption among officials. The tajdid method of Umar bin Abdul Aziz should be reproduced by individuals in positions of authority to attain divine favor and promote the nation's welfare

Time Management According to the Perspective of the Late Tuan Guru Haji Nik Abdul Aziz: A Study of the Interpretation of Surah al-'Asr
Emphasising time management is crucial for anyone aspiring to be successful. Most of the influential and successful figures in his life have a good time management culture. Among them is the late Dato' Bentara Setia Tuan Guru Haji Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat. He was a former Menteri Besar, a scholar, politician, and preacher who was very influential in the archipelago. His name was also engraved in the book '50 Islamic Figures Influential in the World'. His busyness was not an excuse for him to educate the community through knowledge. During his lifetime, he frequently delivered his lectures every Friday morning. Among them, he talked about time management through the interpretation of Surah al-'Asr. His perspective on time management in the surah was an interesting secret to explore. Therefore, this study aims to discuss time management according to the perspective of the late Tuan Guru Haji Nik Abdul Aziz in regard to his interpretation of Surah al-'Asr. This study uses documentation and content analysis methods. The researchers obtained the research data from books written about him, previous research conducted on him, and video recordings of Tuan Guru's lectures and documentaries related to his life. The results of the study found that time management, according to the deceased's perspective, is based on the four criteria mentioned in Surah al-'Asr, namely: [a] The believer; [b] Do good deeds; [c] Message each other with truth, and; [d] Message each other with patience. This is the nature of successful people in this world and in the hereafter. In addition, he also made the principles of mas'uliah, ubudiah and itqan a practice in administration to meet the success criteria. These four criteria and three general principles are suitable as ideas and guides for current and future generations of Muslims
WASTEWATER ENGINEERING
Aziz, Hamidi Abdul (2023). "Wastewater Engineering", In: "Environmental Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)", Wang, LK, Wang, MHS, and Pankivskyi, YI (Series Editors). 209 pages. April 2023. Lenox Institute Press, MA, USA. https://doi.org/10.17613/9g1r-6886 ........ ABSTRACT: There is a very limited book available to date in Malaysia on wastewater engineering. The design examples are also scarce, except publications by Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Malaysia (SPAN) in 2009, which provided some design criteria to be followed by design engineers. Hence, the intent of the authors writing this book is threefold: first, to present briefly the theory involved in specific wastewater treatment processes; to define the important design parameters involved in the process, provide typical design values of these parameters in accordance with Malaysian Sewerage Industry Guidelines (MSIG) for ready reference; and third, to provide a design approach by providing numerical applications and step-by-step design calculation procedure in the solved examples. Treatment technology includes physical, biological, and chemical methods will be discussed with examples. These examples and solutions enhance the readers’ comprehension and deeper understanding of the basic concepts. They also serve as a good source of information for more experienced engineers and aid in the formal design training and instruction of engineering students. Thus, the book is a consolidated resource of valuable quick-and-easy access to a myriad of theory and practice information and solved examples on wastewater treatment processes and reuse

Municipal Wastewater Treatment
Water has become a scarce resource globally. The main objective of municipal wastewater treatment is to remove pollutants before effluent is discharged back to the environment. Treated effluent can be utilized for various types of water reuse and resource recovery. This reprint, including 21 papers, addresses diverse aspects of wastewater treatment, covering municipal and industrial wastewater. One study explores submerged fibers in an attached growth sequential batch reactor designed for poultry slaughterhouse wastewater treatment. Another focuses on the performance and microbial community analysis of pilot-scale hydrolysis–aerobic treatment for municipal wastewater. A separate study develops a multi-objective decision model to select appropriate municipal sewage treatment technologies under uncertainty. Another study investigates phosphorus removal mechanisms using recycled crushed concrete. Further studies examine the impact of C/N ratio and potassium chlorate on nitrogen removal in two-stage-constructed rapid infiltration systems. Additionally, one particular study focuses on removing nutrients from anaerobically digested swine wastewater using a multi-soil layering treatment bioreactor. There is also a full-scale experimental study on groundwater softening using a circulating pellet fluidized reactor. Another analysis focuses on bioaugmentation effects on biogas yields and kinetics in the anaerobic digestion of sewage sludge. These studies collectively highlight innovative methods for improving the efficiency of municipal wastewater treatment and reducing water pollution
