Higher Order mz-elements in Coherent Quantales
The mz-elements of a coherent quantale have recently been defined by the author as an abstraction of the mz-ideals of a unital commutative ring.
Having as its starting point the Dube and Ighedo recent paper on higher order ideals in ring theory, this paper deals with the higher order mz-elements of a coherent quantale A. For each natural number n we define the mz^n-elements of A, so we obtain an ascending sequence that covers the set of all higher order mz-elements. We obtain a lot of properties of this sequence. In particular, the stationarity of the sequence is studied. Another category of results investigates how the coherent quantale morphisms preserve such properties
Pandangan masyarakat Perumda terhadap rubrik Renungan Ramadhan dan Umat bertanya KH. Zainudin MZ. menjawab di Harian Pagi Surya perode 1417H. di Rungkut Surabaya
Fokus pembahasan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk menjawab pertanyaan: Adakah pandangan positif atau negatif masyarakat perumda terhadap rubrik renungan Ramadhan dan umat bertanya KH. Zainudin MZ menjawab yang disajikan harian pagi Surya?, kalau ada sejauhmana rubrik renungan Ramadhan umat bertanya KH. Zainudin MZ menjawab dianggap sebagai rubrik keagamaan yang positif atau negatif oleh masyarakat Perumda. Yang menjadi populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pelanggan harian pagi Surya yang aktif membaca rubrik renungan Ramadhan Ramadhan dan umat bertanya KH. Zainudin MZ menjawab di Perumda yaitu 68 responden. Sedangkan metode yang digunakan untuk mengunpulkan data adalah metode observasi, interview, kuiseoner dan metode angket. Kemudian data yang telah diperoleh dianalisa dengan teknik analisis kuantutatif dengan menggunakan rumus Chi kuadrat. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada pandangan positif dari masyarakat Perumda terhadap rubrik Renungan Ramadhan dan Umat bertanya KH. Zanudin MZ. Menjawab edisis 10 januari sampaai 8 Februari 1997 yang disajikan oleh harian pagi Surya. Adapun tingkat ketidak adaan pandangan positif masyarakat Perumda terhadap rubrik Renungan Ramadhan dan Umat bertanya KH. Zainudin MZ menjawab adalah setingkat 0,22 yang ditafsirka hubungan rendah tapi pasti
A spectroscopic study of the bipolar planetary nebula Mz 3
We have obtained a medium-resolution, deep optical long-slit spectrum of the bipolar planetary nebula Mz 3. The spectrum covers the wavelength range 3420-7400 Å. Over 200 emission lines have been detected, many of them permitted and forbidden transitions from Fe +, Fe 2+ and Fe 3+ and other iron-group elements. The spectra have been used to determine nebular thermal and density structures and elemental abundances. The very rich and prominent [Fe III] emission lines observed in the optical spectrum of Mz 3 are found to originate exclusively from an unresolved emission region centred on the central star. The relative intensities of [Fe III] lines arising from the same upper level are in good agreement with the theoretical predictions. The [Fe III] lines detected in Mz 3, arising from levels of different excitation energies and critical densities, provide powerful diagnostic tools to probe the physical conditions in the central emitting region. We find that all the observed [Fe III] diagnostic line ratios consistently yield an electron temperature of T e = 11 000 K and a density of log N e(cm -3) = 6.5. The latter value is close to the densities where the ratios of these [Fe III] diagnostic lines are most sensitive to density variations, suggesting that the density in the central emission core could be even higher. In contrast, all the other standard nebular density- and temperature-diagnostic line ratios, all of lower critical densities than the [Fe III] lines and therefore only useful at densities ≤ 10 6 cm -3, yield consistently lower electron densities, with the resultant values correlating with their critical densities. This indicates that the central dense emission core has a highly stratified density structure such that forbidden lines of relatively low critical densities are collisionally suppressed in high-density regions. Given the highly stratified thermal and density structures of the core emission region, no reliable elemental abundances can be determined for this region, except possibly for iron, for which we find an abundance of approximately half the solar value. In contrast to the dense central core, emission from the extended bipolar lobes of Mz 3 are well represented by a mean electron temperature of 6800 K and density of 5200 cm -3. The elemental abundances derived for this region, on a logarithmic scale where H = 12, are He = 10.93, C = 8.41, N = 8.37, O = 8.50, Ne = 7.64, S = 7.15, Cl = 5.28 and Ar = 7.14. In all cases, the abundances are close to the average values deduced for Galactic planetary nebulae. In particular, there is no evidence of He enrichment, as claimed in previous studies. The newly derived heavy-element abundances are significantly higher than those published in the literature. In those earlier studies, as a result of the contamination of emission from the dense central core, the average electron temperature in Mz 3 was significantly overestimated, resulting in grossly underestimated heavy-element abundances. However, Mz 3 does seem to have a relatively high N/O abundance ratio, in line with the result derived from the ISO observations of the far-infrared fine-structure lines.link_to_OA_fulltex

Genetic, environmental and stochastic factors in monozygotic twin discordance with a focus on epigenetic differences
Abstract Genetic-epidemiological studies on monozygotic (MZ) twins have been used for decades to tease out the relative contributions of genes and the environment to a trait. Phenotypic discordance in MZ twins has traditionally been ascribed to non-shared environmental factors acting after birth, however recent data indicate that this explanation is far too simple. In this paper, we review other reasons for discordance, including differences in the in utero environment, genetic mosaicism, and stochastic factors, focusing particularly on epigenetic discordance. Epigenetic differences are gaining increasing recognition. Although it is clear that in specific cases epigenetic alterations provide a causal factor in disease etiology, the overall significance of epigenetics in twin discordance remains unclear. It is also challenging to determine the causality and relative contributions of environmental, genetic, and stochastic factors to epigenetic variability. Epigenomic profiling studies have recently shed more light on the dynamics of temporal methylation change and methylome heritability, yet have not given a definite answer regarding their relevance to disease, because of limitations in establishing causality. Here, we explore the subject of epigenetics as another component in human phenotypic variability and its links to disease focusing particularly on evidence from MZ twin studies.</p
The arithmetic mean theorem of eshelby tensor for a rotational symmetrical inclusion
In 1997, H. Nozaki and M. Taya found numerically that for any regular polygonal inclusion except for a square, both the Eshelby tensor at the center and the average Eshelby tensor over the inclusion domain are equal to the Eshelby tensor for a circular inclusion and independent of the orientation of the inclusion. Then in 2001, these remarkable properties were mathematically justified by Kawashita and Nozaki. In this paper, a more radical property is presented for a rotational symmetrical inclusion: For any N-fold (N is an integer greater than 2 and unequal to 4) rotational symmetrical inclusion, the arithmetic mean of the Eshelby tensors at N rotational symmetrical points in the inclusion is the same as the Eshelby tensor for a circular inclusion and independent of the orientation of the inclusion. It follows that the Eshelby tensor at the center and the average Eshelby tensor over the rotational symmetrical inclusion domain are identical to the Eshelby tensor for a circular inclusion and independent of the orientation of the inclusion as well. Magnesium-zinc scaffold loaded with tetracycline for tissue engineering application: In vitro cell biology and antibacterial activity assessment
Recently, porous magnesium and its alloys are receiving great consideration as biocompatible and biodegradable scaffolds for bone tissue engineering application. However, they presented poor antibacterial performance and corrosion resistance which limited their clinical applications. In this study, Mg-Zn (MZ) scaffold containing different concentrations of tetracycline (MZ-xTC, x = 1, 5 and 10%) were fabricated by space holder technique to meet the desirable antibacterial activity and corrosion resistance properties. The MZ-TC contains total porosity of 63–65% with pore sizes in the range of 600–800 μm in order to accommodate bone cells. The MZ scaffold presented higher compressive strength and corrosion resistance compared to pure Mg scaffold. However, tetracycline incorporation has less significant effect on the mechanical and corrosion properties of the scaffolds. Moreover, MZ-xTC scaffolds drug release profiles show an initial immediate release which is followed by more stable release patterns. The bioactivity test reveals that the MZ-xTC scaffolds are capable of developing the formation of HA layers in simulated body fluid (SBF). Next, Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria were utilized to assess the antimicrobial activity of the MZ-xTC scaffolds. The findings indicate that those scaffolds that incorporate a high level concentration of tetracycline are tougher against bacterial organization than MZ scaffolds. However, the MTT assay demonstrates that the MZ scaffolds containing 1 to 5% tetracycline are more effective to sustain cell viability, whereas MZ-10TC shows some toxicity. The alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity of the MZ-(1-5)TC was considerably higher than that of MZ-10TC on the 3 and 7 days, implying higher osteoblastic differentiation. All the findings suggest that the MZ-xTC scaffolds containing 1 to 5% tetracycline is a promising candidate for bone tissue healing due to excellent antibacterial activity and biocompatibility

Makassar, merupakan tema yang diketengahkan dalam skripsi ini. Suatu
penelitian yang menggunakan pendekatan metode analisis isi kuantitatif terhadap
konten pemberitaan. Konten pemberitaan yang dimaksud berkenaan dengan isu
politik pilkada Sulawesi Selatan (Sul-Sel). Penelitian ini menggunakan 3 (tiga)
unit analisis yaitu unit sintaksis, unit tematik dan unit fisik.
Unit sintaksis adalah unit analisis yang menggunakan elemen atau bagian
bahasa dari suatu isi. Prosedur analisis dalam unit sintaksis ini yaitu peneliti
menghitung frekuensi dari unit bahasa (kata, kalimat) yang ada dalam teks. Unit
tematik merupakan satuan berita yang perhitungannya berdasarkan tema berita
pilkada seperti berita pilkada berbentuk teks dan unit fisik merupakan satuan
berita yang perhitungannya berdasarkan satuan panjang dan luas kolom terhadap
berita pilkada berbentuk teks. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecenderungan pemberitaan para
kandidat terkait pilkada Sul-Sel 2013 pada Harian Tribun Timur Makassar lebih
menonjolkan sisi positif para kandidat, orientasi berita yang positif dapat dilihat
dari adanya pujian, dukungan, penyampaian hal-hal yang positif mengenai
kandidat (kekuatan, kemampuan, prediksi kemenangan) dalam berita. Sedangkan
hasil penelitian tentang netralitas berita pilkada Sul-Sel 2013 pada Harian Tribun
Timur Makassar menunjukkan bahwa Harian Tribun Timur Makassar lebih
menonjolkan isu tentang kandidat nomor 1 (Satu) Ilham Arief Sirajuddin-Abd
