Fatigue failure analysis of cfrp composite laminates using modified stiffness degradation method
Carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) composite laminates have been extensively utilised in various industrial applications due to their outstanding mechanical properties. In this study, the stiffness degradation behaviour of CFRP laminates subjected to cyclic loading conditions was analysed using two analytical models: the Modified Stage I model and the modified Stage I to Stage III model. Both models were developed based on the original model proposed by Lurie and Minhat, and subsequently enhanced through the introduction of several specific parameters to improve the predictive accuracy between analytical results and experimental data. The application of a linear elastic model facilitated the determination of the mechanical properties of the CFRP materials, which served as input parameters for the modified models. The modified Stage I model was employed to evaluate stiffness degradation during the initial damage phase, particularly matrix cracking. The resulting analytical stiffness degradation curves were compared with the experimental curves. Subsequently, the modified Stage I to Stage III model was applied to assess the full spectrum of stiffness degradation, encompassing damage evolution from the initial stage to the final stage, including fibre breakage. To evaluate the accuracy of both models, the percentage difference between the analytical model and experimental data was calculated for all three CFRP laminate configurations investigated in this study, namely [0,±45]s, [0,902]s, and [0,90,±45]s. Overall, the findings indicate that the Modified Stage I model offers the highest predictive accuracy when directly compared with experimental data, particularly for early-stage damage. The simplicity of its formulation and its strong agreement with empirical results render it highly effective and reliable for predicting fatigue-induced damage in the initial service life of the structure. However, to provide a more comprehensive representation of the material’s stiffness degradation behaviour throughout its service life, the modified Stage I to Stage III model presents a balanced compromise between predictive accuracy and the ability to capture the complete damage progression. Therefore, the selection of the most appropriate model should be guided by the intended application. For short-term assessments or early-stage damage monitoring, the Stage I model is the most suitable. Conversely, for long-term durability predictions involving comprehensive structural integrity evaluation, the Stage I to Stage III model is more appropriate, as it demonstrates a high level of accuracy and inclusiveness that closely aligns with experimental observations

Keywords: Motivation, Parents, Moral
In the life of children, it is very necessary and important to have moral development. Where parents are a part and have the duty and responsibility to guide children so that children adhere to moral and religious values as a way of life. However, some parents are unable to do so for a number of reasons, including lack of knowledge. This makes parents motivated to choose Islamic boarding schools as a means of moral development. Thus, the author wants to know the motivation of parents to choose Islamic boarding schools as a means of moral development for the case study at the Tahfidzul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School Ainul Mardhiyyah Jetis Ponorogo.
The aims of this study were (1) to find out the motivation of parents to choose the Putri Tahfidzul Qur'an Ainul Mardhiyyah Islamic boarding school in fostering the morale of students. (2) To find out the role of the Putri Tahfidzul Qur'an Ainul Mardhiyyah Islamic boarding school in fostering the morale of students. (3) To find out the supporting and inhibiting factors of the role of the Putri Tahfidzul Qur'an Islamic boarding school Ainul Mardhiyyah in fostering the morale of students.

An experimental study on stabilization of Pekan clay using polyethylene and polypropylene
Many countries are expressing concern over the growing issues of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles and polypropylene (PP) products made by the household sector. The rapid increase in the generation of plastic waste all around the world is due to the economic development and population growth. PP is the world's second-most widely produced synthetic plastic, after polyethylene. Statistics show that nearly 50% of the municipal solid waste in Malaysia comes from the institutional, industrial, residential, and construction waste. This paper presents the results of an investigation on the utilisation of fibres as products of PET bottles and PP products in order to improve the engineering properties of clay soil in Pekan. The soil samples were taken from Kampung Tanjung Medang, Pekan, Pahang. The basic properties of the clay soil were determined as follows; optimum moisture content: 32.5%, maximum dry density: 13.43 kN/m3, specific gravity: 2.51, liquid limit: 74.67%, plastic limit: 45.98%, and plasticity index: 28.69%. This investigation concentrates on the shear strength of the reinforced clay soils with PET and PP in random orientation. The reinforced soil samples were subjected to unconfined compression test (UCT) to differentiate their shear strength with that of the unreinforced soil. The tests found that the waste fibres (PET and PP) improved the strength properties of the Pekan clayey soils. The unconfined compressive strength (UCS) value increased with the increasing percentage of PET fibre and reached the optimum content at 10% reinforcement, where it showed the highest improvement of 365 kN/m2 from 325 kN/m2 and depleted when the optimum content reached 20% reinforcement. For PP fibre, the reinforced soil showed the highest UCS at 20% reinforcement with the improvement of 367 kN/m2. The study concluded that the PET and PP fibres can be utilised successfully as reinforcement materials for the stabilisation of clayey soils. The use of these waste compounds as alternative materials for clay soil stabilisation is reasonable and cost effective since they are constantly available
