Opinnäytetyö on menetelmältään päiväkirjaopinnäytetyö, jossa käsitellään seurantajakson 19.1.2015 – 27.3.2015 ajan opiskelijan päivittäisiä työtehtäviä, tavoitteita ja kehittymistä. Työviikojen päätteeksi analysoidaan viikon aikana saavutettu osaaminen, ongelmatilanteet ja niiden ratkaisut sekä pohditaan opiskelijan tekemiä töitä perustuen kirjallisuuteen. Seu-rantajakson loputtua käydään läpi opiskelijan pohdinta ja päätelmät kuluneesta seuranta-jaksosta. Opinnäytetyön työympäristönä toimii kansainvälisen ohjelmistokehitykseen ja laadunvarmistukseen erikoistuvan yrityksen Symbion toimistotilat sekä työtehtäviin liittyvät sijainnit. Seurantajakson aikana opiskelijan osaaminen web-teknologioista kasvaa erilaisten projekti-en ohella. The thesis is a diary thesis, that describes the author’s daily work assignments, goals and personal development during the follow-up period 19th of January to 27th of March. Opinnäytetyön aiheena on radio-ohjelman suunnittelu ja toteutus. Ohjelma nimeltä ’Saarensa arvoinen’ julkaistiin Yle Radio Suomessa itsenäisyyspäivänä 6.12.2011 ja uusittiin loppiaisena 6.1.2012. Opinnäytetyöllä haluttiin osoittaa, miten monipuoliseen työskentelyyn HAAGA-HELIA ammattikorkeakoulun journalismin koulutusohjelma tarjoaa eväitä. Toimeksiantaja opinnäytetyön produktiosalle on Yle Radio Suomi. The topic of this thesis is a radio program design and implementation. A program called “The Worth of One’s Island” was first aired on Yle Radio Finland's Independ-ence Day program on 12/06/2011 and repeated on 01/06/2012. The objective of the thesis was to demonstrate how a multifaceted journalistic skill set can be achieved through attending the relevant degree program of the HAAGA-HELIA University of Applied Sciences. The product part of the thesis was sponsored by Yle Radio Finland, which gave free-dom to the author to design and implement the program; only the framework and suit-able length of the program were defined in advance. Particular attention was given to the concept of “audio landscape,” as the “studio background sound” was not suitable for the program style. The thesis work began in October 2011 with the generation of an idea. After finalizing the concept and getting the consent of the interviewee, the actual product work also started in October 2011. The author was responsible for all matters related to the making of this program. She recorded the discussions with the main character of the program and simultaneously took care of the sound recording and sound quality control, so that the recording was of high quality. The author was also responsible for writing the script of the program and planning of the overall audio landscape. Finally, she edited the program and moved it to the Yle Radio Finland’s program database. The end result of the product part was a story of modern life in the archipelago, as well as some time travel back into Tammio’s history

    No full text
Hankkeen kustansi Keuruun kaupunki. This report describes and analyzes the process of writing a book from the first idea to the artifact. The author wrote a short history book, as a combined thesis and practical training in journalism. The book, entitled "Ja soitto soi", tells of a brass orchestra called Keuruun Soittajapojat, which had its 60th anniversary in 2012. The author herself played in the orchestra in the 1970s; this had an effect on the choice of subject for this thesis. A special project team was established for the festival in the year 2012. The Chairman of the group was Mr. Jorma Haapamäki. History editors, representatives of the orchestra and the Keuruu township made up the team. The “history package” included a book, DVD and CD. The project was financed by the Keuruu township, on behalf of which the executive unit was the cultural department. Keuruun Soittajapojat is a youth brass orchestra which was founded in 1952 by the teacher Mr. Erkki Haapamäki. During the most successful years in the 1970s and 1980s the orchestra won the Championship of Finnish Youth Brass Orchestras seven times. The aim of the history project was to preserve the lifetime work of Mr. Erkki Haapamäki, as well as the prestigious history of the orchestra, and also to revive the present activity of the band. The author describes from the journalistic point of view this history-writing project, and analyzes the data collection, interview methods and working with the material. She also observes the co-operation among the project team, desktop publishing person and the printing house. The author analyzes the use of journalistic skills in practice and the growth of professional expertise throughout the process, and summarizes what could have been done differently. The history book, DVD and CD were released on 18th March 2012 at the Celebration Concert in Keuruu.Työn liitteenä oleva kirja "Ja soitto soi" löytyy Haaga-Helia amk:n kirjastosta. Puhelinkontaktoinnin käynnistäminen pienessä ICT-alan B2B-yrityksessä

    No full text
Tämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena on selvittää, mitä yrityksen tulee huomioida puhelinkontaktoinnin käynnistämisessä. Tutkimus tehtiin keväällä 2011, jolloin työn tekijä oli mukana HAAGA-HELIA ammattikorkeakoulun sekä viiden pienen ICT -alan yrityksen Sales IT -projektissa. Työn tekijä keskittyi näistä kahden yrityksen myynnin kehittämiseen ja oli mukana käynnistämässä näiden puhelinkontaktointia. Työ sisältää käytännönläheistä tietoa kohdeyrityksille, joiden puhelinkontaktointi on käynnistysvaiheessa. Tulosten perusteella puhelinkontaktoinnin käynnistäminen on kannattavaa, sillä puhelimitse löydettiin molempien kohdeyritysten palveluista kiinnostuneita asiakkaita. Soittotyön avulla saatiin myös paljon arvokasta tietoa potentiaalisista asiakkaista ja esimerkiksi vastaväitteistä, joihin paneutumalla yritykset voivat pärjätä paremmin seuraavissa myyntikeskusteluissa. Tulokset osoittivat, että oikein toteutettuna puhelinkontaktointi on tehokas väylä uusasiakashankintaan. The objective of this thesis was to discover what should be taken into consideration when starting telemarketing. The study was made in the spring of 2011 when the author of the thesis was taking part in the Sales IT -project between HAAGA-HELIA University of Applied Sciences and five ICT -industry companies. The author of the thesis concentrated on developing the sales of two companies and was part of starting their telemarketing. The thesis contains practical knowledge for the case companies whose telemarketing was on a starting stage. Other companies can also apply the theoretical part of telemarketing and conclusions to their situations. The thesis is limited to concern B2B (business-to-business) companies and outbound phone calls. The thesis consists of the theoretical framework and empirical research part. The theoretical framework was made on deep examination of sales, marketing and communications theories. The framework creates a basis to the empirical part and also the research results can be analyzed and improvement suggestions can be made. The study was carried out as activity analysis which aims at answering the problem noticed in practice and changing it. Qualitative research methodology was emphasized in the study and data were mainly collected through observation and interviews. The study showed that when starting the telemarketing of the case companies there was not enough focus on all the right factors of successful telemarketing. In the future they should focus on defining the objectives, tools which support calling and handling the counterarguments. The results showed that successful telemarketing requires a large amount of work and orderliness from both management and callers. Based on the results, starting telemarketing is reasonable because there were interested customers for both case companies by telemarketing. By telemarketing also a large amount of important information about potential customers and counterarguments was received. They can be useful when preparing upcoming sale situations. The results showed that right implemented telemarketing is effective channel to get new customers

This thesis is a product-oriented thesis. The aim of the thesis is to create valuable and quality content for the commissioning party, StartUs. The content is educational and takes form as a guide. The guide was done with the support of Haaga-Helia StartUp School. The theoretical framework consists of startup and content marketing theory, and is essential in providing the reader of this thesis the understanding of why the guide is important for the commissioning party and its target audience. Defining a startup can be tricky as there are several different definitions to what is a startup. In addition, not all startups are alike as there are multiple types of startups each of its own goals and definition of success. All of the startup types can benefit from incorporating lean startup methodologies. Some of the core principles of the lean startup methodology are Customer Development and the build-measure-learn loop both of which ultimately allow startups to avoid failing and creating a greater demand for their product or service through the understanding of the true needs of the customers. Nowadays, content marketing is imperative for a company in order to gain visibility and reach the right audience. In order to stand out from competitors and achieve the attention of consumers and fulfill the company’s business goals, relevant and valuable content must be produced and distributed. The product of this thesis is the Helsinki Startup City Guide. It is a practical guide for startup enthusiasts and everyone interested and considering to establish a startup company in Helsinki. The guide lists the most relevant information one must know about the startup ecosystem of Helsinki. This thesis and the product were produced within three weeks due to limited time constraints. Both the author and the commissioning parties are pleased with the end result of the product
