No full textEl novelista y guionista español Rafael Azcona presenta un caso interesante en el proceso de reescritura y adaptación con los temas de El pisito y El cochecito. El método de escritura, adap-tación y reescritura que propone Azcona resulta insólito, pues, sobre cada uno de estos dos asuntos, el autor publicó diversos cuentos, novelas y los adaptó en sendos guiones. Las películas de El pisito (Marco Ferreri e Isidoro M. Ferry, 1958) y El cocheci-to (Marco Ferreri, 1960) reflejan solo una pequeña parte de esta vasta creación en torno a dichos asuntos. Nuestra investigación ha indagado en todos los artículos, cuentos y textos escritos por Azcona acerca de estos temas. Para ello se ha consultado fuentes primarias, como el archivo de la censura literaria y cinematográ-fica (Archivo General de la Administración), fondo inédito de la Filmoteca Española y Biblioteca Nacional; y, además, se ha con-sultado las publicaciones científicas sobre el autor. El resultado ha sido la recuperación de un texto inédito y desconocido hasta la fecha, Concierto para pobre, paralítico y muerto, y ha permiti-do indagar en este proceso de reescritura y adaptación sobre El pisito y El cochecito. Se trata, concluimos en la investigación, de un ejemplo único en el que un autor español no solo adapta y noveliza repetidamente, sino que, además, reescribe completamente sus obras, pudiendo hablar de tres textos completamente distintos para ambos casos.The process of rewriting and adapting the themes of El Pisito and El cochechito by Spanish novelist and screenwriter Rafael Azcona presents an interesting case study. The writing, adaptation and rewriting method proposed by Azcona is unusual, as the author published several short stories, novels and adapted them into screenplays based on each of these two subjects. The films El pisito (Marco Ferreri and Isidoro M. Ferry, 1958) and El cochecito
(Marco Ferreri, 1960) represent merely a small fraction of his vast creative output on these subjects. This research has examined all the articles, short stories and texts written by Azcona on these subjects. To do so, primary sources have been accessed, such as the archive of literary and cinematographic censorship (Archivo General de la Administración), the unpublished collection of the Spanish Film Library and the National Library; and, in addition, scientific publications on the author have been reviewed. The result has been the recovery of an unpublished and hitherto unknown text, Concierto para pobre, paralítico y muerto (Concert for the poor, paralysed and dead), which has made it possible to investigate the process of rewriting and adapting El pisito and El cochecito.
