Collaboration of Patients With Mobility Disabilities in Caring: Conceptual Analysis
Background: Collaboration of patients in caring is regarded as a gold standard in professional care associated with modern nursing. Considering the complexity of the concept, it is imperative to analyze caring of patients with motor disability caused by traffic accidents.
Materials and Methods: This is a qualitative study to analyze the concept of collaboration in caring for traffic casualties using a hybrid model in three stages. In the first stage, to conduct a systemic review, a literature search was performed using databases such as Blackwell, CINAHL, MEDLINE, and Elsevier with the keywords: Collaboration in caring and orthopedic victims of traffic accidents. The literature search resulted in 110 related reviews up to 2016. In the second stage or field stage, for the importance of collaboration in caring for traffic casualties, 7 traffic victims and 3 nurses were interviewed and data were analyzed by content analysis. Finally, in the third stage, an overall analysis was performed according to the findings in previous stages.
Results: Combining the results of reviews and findings of field study, we obtained 87 codes, 14 subcategories, and 5 categories (“organizational factors in sharing information and knowledge”, “promoting a sense of responsibility in patient”, “patient empowerment for health promotion”, “mutual trust”, and “hypersensitivity to active engagement to return to normal life”) in content analysis.
Conclusion: Recognizing the concept of collaboration of patient with motor disability in caring from the orthopedic viewpoint, managers and nurses will be able to plan and execute management and educational activities according to the insight obtained from scientific findings to provide suitable conditions in this regard
Arterial elasticity in obese adolescents with clinical features of insulin resistance
© The Author(s) 2014.Results: SAEI and LAEI raw values were higher in the IR group than the controls, and these did not differ between the T1D and control groups. Weight and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) were significant predictors of SAEI. After adjustment for weight and DBP, SAEI decreased by 0.65 mL/mmHg 100 for each 1-year increase in age in the IR group. SAEI was not different across the groups after controlling for weight and DBP. Height was the strongest predictor of LAEI which remained higher in the IR group after controlling for height and blood pressure. Objective: To determine whether arterial elasticity differs between obese adolescents with clinical insulin resistance (IR), type 1 diabetes (T1D) and healthy non-obese controls. Methods: This cross-sectional study evaluated 69 adolescents with clinical IR, 91 with T1D and 63 age-matched (10- to 18-year-old) controls. Arterial elasticity was measured using radial tonometry pulse-wave analysis. Stepwise multiple regression analyses were performed to assess the determinants of the small and large arterial elasticity indices (SAEI and LAEI).Conclusion: Obese adolescents with clinical IR have a higher SAEI, which declines with age; this may reflect a pathway to an increased risk of premature cardiovascular disease.link_to_OA_fulltex

POETRY AND SPACE IN THE PHENOMENOLOGY OF BEING

Abstract
So far, there have been various ways of designing. These techniques, which lead
to new developments in the field of art and design, have been the source of ideas
for designers and have caused to many innovations. The ways that lead to creativity
are generally defined in two categories: abstractness and concreteness.
The concept of abstractness depends on the world of subjectivity versus the object
of the world, and it happens in the world of imagination. Poetry has an abstract
structure and derives from the world of images. Poetry uses words to realize images
in the poet's mind. As well as architecture, it does the job of a variety of materials.
But when readers read the text, interpret the poem from their perspectives and
imaginations. When we look at poetry in literature, poetry is a dialectical synthesis
of language and the intelligence of society. When space is at stake, spaces are the
official refuge of the emotional and spiritual worlds of man.
Spaces discover the existence of multilayered intelligence, thinking, and
imagination through poetry. A designer can give a specific idea of the problems that
approach the design process. Also, they can develop this basic idea as a method
and technique.
In this study, the relationship between poetry and space in the phenomenology of
being as the main topic is discussed, and in the first part, the authors' thoughts have
been used in this field and the boundaries of our studies to reach the topic of
phenomenology. And in the second part, we examine the phenomenological
studies of being and space and try to explain the definition of space in the
phenomenology of being.
In the philosophy of phenomenology, the man understands the universe with its
interpretations and experiences. An artist can create a different and unique work by
iv
approaching the essence of objects and places by the phenomenological method.
If a poet can create his poetry under the influence of spaces, an architect can create
poetic spaces inspired by poetry based on his interpretation and imagination.
Shaping the form and controlling it is the easiest way to form a space. Yet, like
poetry, the place is full of imagination and emotion, Thus, if we consider space in
this way, we can create many poetic spaces; in other words, space is poetry, if
poetry embodies imagination by using arrays such as metaphors, paradoxes, and
symbols. Also, space is not Exceptions in the effectiveness of these arrays. Thus,
Chapter Three discusses the relationship between poetry and place and the themes
that lead to creativity.
In the final section, we present creativity options by summarizing the tangible,
abstract, and emotional (poetic) methods of our subject. Through the knowledge of
design, one can create the science of design and develop a scientific design.
Experimental data from design processes are needed to test design cognitive
activity models. Therefore, it is important to help designers who adopt design
science and support design education and to develop appropriate approaches.

Investigating the medical health of drivers and determining the predictive factors in the occurrence of traffic accidents in delinquent drivers
Aims: Traffic accidents and their resultant deaths are an important health problem in Iran. Among the three factors of human, road, and vehicle in the occurrence of traffic accidents, human factors have the largest share. The drivers’ physical health is one aspect of the human factors. The purpose of this study was to investigate the health of drivers and determine the predictors of high-risk behaviors in the occurrence of traffic accidents in delinquent drivers.
Materials & Methods: This is a cross-sectional-analytical study done between the years of 1394 to 1396. This study was conducted on a convenience sample of 360 traffic offenders whose cars had been seized by police. Demographic questionnaires and drivers' health screening questionnaire were used to collect information for this study. After collecting the questionnaires and extracting the raw data, the data obtained from the research were analyzed by SPSS software version 23 using descriptive statistics methods, Pearson correlation method, and regression analysis.
Findings: In this study, 360 offending drivers were examined. Of those, 328 were male (91.1%), and 32 were female (8.9%). The principal component analysis method was used to obtain the main factors of drivers' health. Drivers' health was significantly associated with demographic variables (p <0.01). Among the demographic variables, level of education, having driving experience, type of job, income level, type of car, history of accidents in the last three years, and maximum speed within the city had a significant relationship with drivers' health (p <0.01). According to the regression analysis, drivers’ health status was considered a factor affecting the incidence of traffic accidents (p <0/001).
Conclusion: Due to the significant relationship between drivers' health and the occurrence of road traffic crashes, these accidents can partly be prevented by improving the health of drivers. Given the importance and sensitivity of driving in the occurrence of road crashes, a more comprehensive physical evaluation before certification of the drivers and periodically after that seems necessary
The DORIVIR Study
Objectives: To analyze the efficacy and safety of dolutegravir/rilpivirine (DTG/RPV) in HIV-infected patients who switched from any other antiretroviral therapy (ART).
Methods: Open-label, multicenter study including patients who switched to DTG/RPV between February 2015 and February 2016. Efficacy (HIV RNA <50 copies/mL), adverse events, and metabolic changes at 24 weeks were analyzed.
Results: A total of 104 participants were included, who switched for the following reasons: toxicity/intolerance (42.3%), convenience (27.8%), and drug interactions (17.3%). Prior regimens are protease inhibitor (56.7%), integrase strand transfer inhibitor (26.9%), and non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (16.3%). Efficacy at 24 weeks was 88.4% (intention to treat) and 96.8% (per protocol). Triglyceride levels were reduced, on average, by 12.7% and a mean decrease of 9.0% in the glomerular filtration rate was observed as well ( P values of .003 and .002, respectively), whereas total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, creatinine, and glutamic-pyruvic transaminase remained unchanged. No patient discontinued due to adverse events.
Conclusions: Dolutegravir/RPV is effective and safe in long-term HIV-infected patients under any prior ART. Toxicity, convenience, and interactions were the main reasons for changing. At 24 weeks, the lipid profile improved with a decrease in triglycerides. The author(s) disclosed receipt of the following financial support for the research, authorship, and/or publication of this article: Funding was received from the Andalusian Society of Infectious Diseases (SAEI) (provided study code SAEI 00/0067)

Development and Psychometrics of Safe Anesthesia Evaluation. Three-Step Checklist (Pre-Induction of Anesthesia, Maintenance of Anesthesia, Post-Anesthesia): A Cross Sectional Study
Background: Patient safety is one of the main elements of the quality of health services. Our aim of this study was to compile a complete checklist for the three stages of anesthesia.
Methods: This research was a cross-sectional descriptive-analytical study. First, an internet search was conducted in databases to identify checklists related to safe Anesthesia. The WHO Safe Anesthesia Checklist was designated as the main checklist. Then, a brainstorming session was held with experts and according to the determined fields, the initial draft was compiled. Face and content validity were conducted. The reliability of the checklist was measured with Cronbach's alpha and intra class correlation index (ICC) methods.
Results: The initial draft was compiled with 34 items. 29 items scored higher than 0.79 in terms of CVI (content validity index) The value of CVI of 5 items was less than the permissible limit and the edge of the border, which was revised and corrected by the research group. 2 items were returned to the research process according to the survey of experts and their necessity CVR (content validity ratio) (value >0/62) and 3 items were removed from the research process. Cronbach's alpha was calculated as 0.876 for the first evaluator and 0.870 for the second evaluator, and the percentage of agreement between the evaluators was 0.956 (P<0.001).
Conclusion: We developed and evaluated a checklist for the three stages of anesthesia through an evidence-based study. We hope this checklist can reduce and prevent clinical errors
Designing and Psychometrics of the Educational Booklet on the Principles of Radiation Protection to Promote Radiation Safety Culture among Surgical Team
Aims: Training and improving the surgical team's awareness of radiation protection is necessary to prevent severe and irreparable damage. Therefore, the purpose of the present study was to compile and psychometrically evaluate (content and face validity) the educational booklet on the principles of radiation protection to promote the knowledge and culture of radiation safety of the operating room staff and prevent injuries.
Materials and Methods: The current research is a methodology carried out in Iran University of Medical Sciences in 2022-2023 in three stages: first, the content of the educational booklet was selected based on the needs of the target audience, and the related articles and sources were reviewed. Then, the initial draft of the educational manual was designed and prepared. After that, expert judges in related fields as well as anesthesia and operating room technologists evaluated the formal and content validity of the manual. The content validity index at the item level (I-CVI) and the content validity index at the scale level (S-CVI) equal to or greater than 0.78 and 0.9, respectively, were considered as criteria for validity of the booklet. The binomial test was used to check the reliability of the content validity index of the items so that the significance level was 0.05 and the expected agreement ratio was 0.8. Data were analyzed using SPSS 26 software.
Findings: In this research, 22 experts in related fields and 22 anesthesia and operating room technologists with an average work experience of 13.8±4.3 years and 15.6±6.3 years participated, respectively. After sending and receiving the draft version of the booklet along with its evaluation scale, the specialists and experts participating in the study were given the minimum values of I-CVI and S-CVI values for the desired scale items to check the face validity and content of the booklet. According to experts, it was equal to 0.9 and 0.97, respectively. The minimum observed agreement ratio of the binomial test was 0.9, which was more than the expected agreement ratio (0.8). The values of I-CVI, S-CVI, and agreement ratio between anesthesia and operating room technologists were all equal to 1.
Conclusion: The present educational booklet has an acceptable form and content validity based on the research findings. Therefore, it can be used as a simple tool to promote radiation safety culture and prevent radiation damage in operating rooms
