No full textGünümüzde tıp alanında meydana gelen gelişmeler, plastik rekonstrüktif ve estetik operasyonların daha basit bir şekilde gerçekleştirilmesini mümkün kılmış, bu operasyonların daha basit ve ulaşılabilir olması kişilerin bu alana yönlenmesini yoğunlaştırmıştır. Artık plastik rekonstrüktif ve estetik operasyonlar, herkes tarafından kullanılan ve takip edilen bir tıp alanı halini almıştır. Estetik amaçlı talepler, yine bu alanı hekimler bakımından da rekabet alanına sokmuş, deyim yerinde ise bu alanda ciddi bir pazar oluşmuştur. Bu sebeple her ne kadar mevzuata aykırı olsa da, bu alanda görsel ve yazılı basın ile sosyal medya alanlarında ciddi reklamlar dahi verilmektedir. Plastik rekonstrüktif ve estetik operasyonlarda sayısal olarak meydana gelen artış, aynı zamanda bu alanda meydana gelen tıbbi hataları da sayısal olarak artırmıştır. Bu hatalar sebebiyle kişilerin uğradığı zararların tazmini ise, hukuki olarak ayrı bir altyapı ve düzenlemeleri zorunlu kılmaktadır. Hal bu olmakla birlikte, mevcut mevzuatımızda doğrudan bu alana ilişkin normatif bir düzenleme bulunmamakta, bu alana uygun olduğu ölçüde Türk Borçlar Kanunu’nun hizmet, vekalet ve eser sözleşmesi özel hükümleri uygulanmaktadır. Türk Borçlar Kanunu’nun özel hükümlerinin plastik rekonstrüktif ve estetik cerrahiden kaynaklanan uyuşmazlıklara uygulanmasına ilişkin olarak doktrin ve uygulamada farklı görüşler ortaya çıkmış olup, konu tam olarak netlik kazanmamıştır. Çalışmamızda, plastik rekonstrüktif ve estetik cerrahlar ile hastalar arasındaki sözleşmelerin türü ve mahiyeti, hatalı tıbbi müdahaleler ve bu müdahaleler sebebiyle meydana gelen zararların tazmininde tarafların sorumluluğunun ne şekilde olacağı hususları, mevzuat, doktrin ve yüksek yargı uygulaması bakımından ele alınmıştır.Nowadays, the developments in the field of medicine have made it possible to operate the plastic reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries much easier, and since these operations are now simpler and more accessible, people have applied to this field more excessively. Thus, the plastic reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries have become as a field of medicine that is used and followed by every person. Cosmetic purposes demands have induced medical doctors to compete each other in this field, and so to say that there has been a significant market in this field. Therefore, even it is contrary to the legislation, a serious number of advertisements have been making in visual and written media and social media. On the other hand, the increase in the number of plastic reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries has increased also the number of medical errors and malpractices at the same time. In order to compensate the people suffering damages of such errors, special legal basis and regulations should be implemented. However, there is no normative regulation directly related to this field under existing legislation, and therefore, to the extent possible, the special provisions of service, agency and work agreements under the Turkish Law of Obligations have been applied to this field. Different opinions have risen in doctrine and practice in connection with the applicability of the special provisions of the Turkish Law of Obligations to the disputes arising from the plastic reconstructive and cosmetic operations, and still, this subject is not clear. In this study, the types and characteristics of the agreements between the patients and plastic reconstructive and cosmetic surgeons, and defective medical interventions and the indemnity liabilities of the parties in case of such medical interventions are examined with respect to the legislation, the doctrine and the applications of the higher jurisdiction
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
