The national assessment of alphabetization on the concept of different subjects of Rio Verde, State of Goiás (2014-2016)
No full textThis study had as a main goal to analyze the conception that students, families, teachers, pedagogical supervisors, managers and school secretaries have regarding the National Assessment of Alphabetization (ANA). ANA is one of the most recent evaluations that compound the National System Evaluation of Basic Education − Saeb. It was documented in 2013, by ordinance nº 867, of July 4, 2012, recommending that all children must be literate until eight years of age. However, we questioned whether the ANA itself is capable of making improvements in education, since the conception that has guided this evaluation practice after all starts from a limited, conflicting, capitalist logic, with mere meritocratic, selective and classificatory principles, aimed at attending to the job market and not the school needs. As for methodological procedures, we chose to conduct research based on a qualitative approach; we materialized the study through questionnaires and interviews, involving subjects of the municipal teaching network of Rio Verde-GO. The research had also a bibliographical review and documentary analysis. The development of the study allowed us to conclude that most of the research participants reproduce the principle of the State which sees ANA as an indicator of quality. We also noticed that there is an external-versus-internal tension, whereas ANA holds an indicator focused on students' performance regardless of the school floor; On the other hand, we have this internal tension that comes across, with its needs and difficulties that ANA cannot express. In that sense, the percentage of people who perceive ANA as an assessment of learning is high, and that could be. In Brazil, however, the goal and intention of this evaluation is otherwise: it tries to collect good results; it strengthens the idea of curricular narrowing, centering the teaching in Portuguese language and mathematics, it privileges the merit and naturalizes the excluding logic.We must break with this evaluation practice, in defense of an external evaluation, based on formative principles, as we believe that ANA, in dialogue with an assessment of learning, can bring important information that favors the planning and rethinking of actions within the school.Dissertação (Mestrado)Este estudo teve como objetivo principal, analisar a concepção que os/as estudantes, famílias, professores/as, coordenadoras pedagógicas, gestores/as e secretárias escolares possuem a respeito da Avaliação Nacional da Alfabetização (ANA). A ANA é uma das mais recentes avaliações constituintes do Sistema Nacional de Avaliação da Educação Básica – Saeb. Foi instituída em 2013, pela portaria nº 867, de 04 de julho de 2012, preconizando que todas as crianças devem estar alfabetizadas até oito anos de idade. No entanto, questionamos se a ANA por si só é capaz de provocar melhorias na educação, afinal, a concepção que tem orientado essa prática avaliativa parte de uma lógica capitalista, limitada, contraditória, com princípios meritocráticos, seletivos e classificatórios, voltados para atender ao mercado de trabalho e não às necessidades da escola. No que tange aos procedimentos metodológicos, optamos por conduzir a investigação com base em uma abordagem qualitativa; materializamos o estudo por meio de questionários e entrevistas com o envolvimento de sujeitos da rede municipal de ensino de Rio Verde-GO. A pesquisa contou também com uma revisão bibliográfica e análise documental. O desenvolvimento do estudo nos permitiu concluir, que a maioria dos/as participantes da pesquisa reproduz o princípio do Estado que enxerga a ANA como indicadora de qualidade. Percebemos, também, que existe um campo de tensão (externo x interno), enquanto a ANA tem um indicador que orienta para o desempenho dos/as estudantes sem se preocupar com o chão da escola; de outro lado, temos um campo de tensão interno que força o contrário, com necessidades e dificuldades que a ANA não consegue expressar, nesse sentido, são elevados os percentuais de pessoas que percebem a ANA como avaliação da aprendizagem e até poderia ser, mas no Brasil, a intencionalidade e objetivo dessa avaliação são outro: intenta em cobrar bons resultados; fortalece a ideia de estreitamento curricular, centrando o ensino em língua portuguesa e matemática, privilegia o mérito e naturaliza a lógica excludente. Precisamos romper com essa prática avaliativa, em defesa de uma avaliação externa, pautada em princípios formativos, pois acreditamos que a ANA, em diálogo com a avaliação da aprendizagem, pode trazer informações importantes que favoreçam o planejamento e o repensar das ações no interior das escolas
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
