The Bleeding Heart: Arshi I. Ahmadzai's Exploration of Feminine Identity: A Photo Essay
This article showcases the complex intersection of feminine identity and culturalheritage through the work of artist Arshi I. Ahmadzai. Drawing on Persian and Mughalminiature traditions together with the abstract aesthetics of the Bauhaus, Ahmadzai’srecent series explore how women experience emotional and physical transformations.Central to her work is the recurring symbol of the bleeding heart, which embodies pain, vulnerability, and a deep emotional connection. Through her use of fabric, naturalpigments, and Urdu writing—often intentionally unreadable—Ahmadzai blends poetrywith artistic expression, creating a unique visual language that resonates acrosscultural boundaries. Her experiences in India, Kabul, and Weimar (Germany)profoundly shape her art practice. This article captures how Ahmadzai’s art not onlyreflects her personal struggles with patriarchal norms but also offers a universalcommentary on the sanctity of the feminine experience, culminating in a body of workthat is both intimate and powerful. Her art engages deeply with Sufi tradition and is anexploration of pain, resilience, and the sacredness of the feminine in a modern, globalworld
Vetëdija kritike e Arshi Pipës
The referential elements that marks the Albanian literary criticism, shown at the beginning of this paper, indeed serve only as an introduction to understand why Arshi Pipa differ from other critics who have written about Albanian literature. This particularity is clearly reflected when we compare him with the models from the literary sociological school, a school which has had a wide range in literary studies in general, but which in our literature is marked with the literary studies of Arshi Pipa.
Pipa makes the sociological approach to Albanian literature obvious by offering in the title his method of study, which he prefers to call per- spective. Despite this, Pipa insists that Albanian literature can be under- stood only by recognizing the trajectory of Albanian social developments. And precisely here we see how Pipa divides literary formations and what social attributes he assigns to a particular period, to an author or to a speci- fic phase of Albanian literature. This best shows that for Pipa, the literature of the Renaissance created by the Arbëresh is a litteral translation of the Albanian soul, whether as a religious and philosophical line, or as a line of tradition. He also highlights the fact that in a large part of Albanian literature rural and pastoral signs are detected and, besides this, Pipa shows us the case when literature is transformed from this line of simple life into a very intimate personal perspective on the world expressed in aesthetic form, specifically with Migjen, the author who is most deserving of enlightening

Arshi Pipa as a National and International Figure
Segel states that Arshi Pipa published a series of books of more-or-less scholarly nature that sought to expose the Albanian dictatorship in the way that Paul Goma sought to expose the Romanian tyranny under Nicolae Ceausescu through his fiction (Segel, 2008). That was undoubtedly one of the aspects of Arshi Pipa’s work, most of whose volumes in the English language being either a contribution to Italian studies – such was the case for Montale – or a dedication to the exposure of the richness and faults of the Albanian culture, literature, and contemporary politics to the English speaking audience. Our paper approaches the multilateral personality of Arshi Pipa (1920-1997) by observing him as a national as well as an international figure. Due to the nature of the conference, more details and arguments will be presented in the published paper, and only a brief account of our findings and considerations are going to be introduced now. Arshi Pipa was, undoubtedly, an Albanian writer, poet, literary translator, and political writer. But he was more than that. Having a multicultural education, holding a degree on philosophy from Florence University in Italy, and fulfilling the requirements of the professorship of North-American Colleges, his scholarly work includes a cultural studies component which has either passed in silence or been misinterpreted. Originating from a country which is a significant crossing path of western and eastern civilizations, such as Albania, and being educated both in a catholic school during mornings and a Muslim school (medrese) during afternoons throughout his childhood, excelling in philosophy in Florence, Italy, an
scNMT-seq:MOSAIC, or Multi-Omic Supervised Integrative Clustering

Her research addressed the following question; We wish to address the problem of identifying localized molecular signatures with respect to an outcome of interest such as stage and lineage. This poses an interesting challenge in understanding heterogeneity in cell populations across multiple data modalities. We aim to illustrate that the application of a supervised integrative clustering will provide a more accurate delineation of cell subpopulation across genomic, epigenomic, and transcriptomic landscape that is directly relevant to the biological outcome of interest.

Kashmiri Nationalism, 1989-2016: Contested Politics of 'Self' and 'Other'
Kashmiri nationalism is defined by its dichotomy between the ethnic and the civic. Arshi Javaid delves into this dichotomy, unravelling the political and social variables that shape it. Moving beyond a conventional securitized perspective on the Kashmir conflict, she offers an understanding of Kashmiri nationalism as a daily practice. This perspective critiques the view that reduces Kashmiri nationalism to a monolithic entity, highlights dynamic socio-political developments, and argues that the state nationalist majoritarian agenda undermines collective rights, erodes local identities, and escalates tensions, breeding confrontation

Corpus-driven Malay language tweet normalization / Mohammad Arshi Saloot
The expeditious spread of blogs, microblogs, and social network services has led to accelerate the usage of casual written language, known as user generated content (UGC). The UGC diverges from standard writing conventions because of the usage of coding strategies, such as phonetic transcriptions (are → r), digit phonemes (me too → me2), misspellings (misappropriate → missapropriate), vowel drops (double → dble), and missing or incorrect punctuation marks (In that situation, I'd possibly come. → In that situation Id possibly come). These modifications are due to three primary elements: 1) limited message length (e.g. 140 characters per Tweet); 2) miniature keyboards; and 3) extensive usage of UGC in unofficial and informal communications. However, the existence of many out-of-vocabulary (OOV) words, also known as unknown words, substantially disturbs standard natural language processing (NLP) systems. Therefore, research in NLP has increasingly focused on the text normalization task, where the OOV words will convert into their context-appropriate standard words. Currently, while diverse normalization approaches exist in the English language, the problem is neglected in other languages, such as Malay language. In this work, the Malay language is chosen because of its considerable usage on Twitter, where, it is the fourth leading language used in Twitter. Thus, a rule-based approach to normalize the Malay language Twitter messages is proposed based on corpus-driven analysis. To do so, a corpus-driven analysis depends on frequencies in specifying word-frequency lists, concordancing, clusters, and keywords. To design the normalization system, three analyzing tasks on the Malay language Twitter corpus and standard Malay corpus were performed: 1) frequency of unknown words; 2) abbreviation patterns; and 3) letter repetition. A Malay language Twitter corpus known as Malay Chat-style Corpus (MCC) is constructed. The MCC, which encompasses 1 million twitter messages, consists of 14,484,384 word instances, 646,807 unique vocabularies, and metadata, such as used Twitter client application, posting time, and type of Twitter message (simple Tweet, Retweet, Reply). To build the MCC, which represents the Malay language Twitter lingo, corpus-compiling criteria were considered which are: sampling, representativeness, machine readability, balance, and size of data. A portion of the MCC is manually annotated to be used in the development and testing stages of the normalization system. The architecture of the Malay normalization system contains seven primary modules: (1) enhanced tokenization; (2) In-Vocabulary (IV) detection; (3) colloquial dictionary lookup; (4) repeated letter elimination; (5) abbreviation normalizer; (6) English word translation; and (7) de-tokenization. The normalization modules are formulated based on the result of MCC analysis and implemented via rule-based state machines. An evaluation is performed in term of BLEU score to measure the accuracy of the system. The result is encouraging whereby 0.91 BLEU score is achieved against 0.46 BLEU baseline score. To compare the accuracy of the system with other probabilistic approaches with an identical Malay dataset, statistical machine translation (SMT) normalization system is chosen to be implemented, trained, and evaluated. The experimental results prove that higher accuracy is achieved by the proposed architecture, which is designed based on the results of our corpus-driven analysis
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Nga linguistika te estetika e politika: Romantiku i parë shqiptar, Jeronim De Rada, në studimet e Arshi Pipës
In this research paper we will analyze the concepts and opinions of the well-known scholar Arshi Pipa about the first Albanian romantic writer, Jeronim De Rada. Our paper is based on of Arshi Pipa's trilogy study, Trilogia Albanica II, Hieronymus De Rada (1978), an analysis that extends from linguistics (lexicon, morphology, syntax) to aesthetics and politics. We will try to highlight the main issues raised in this study, such as: language, prosody, ideology, style and other aspects that are discussed between literature and linguistics. Throughout this metacritical writing, we discuss the manuscripts of the first romantic in front of his scholar, focusing specifically on the language, metrics and stylistic pronunciation, right to the poetics of romanticism, in order to break down literary and extraliterary phenomena. The review we are focusing on will be based on the research method, from philosophical interpretations, comparative, sociolinguistic and social perspectives, to the critique and philological analysis of the text. Whereas, the literary context lays through the romanticism in Albanian literature to extend to the European romanticism, specifically to the Arbëresh of Italy, as an authentic spirit and as a universal form, with all the premises of European romanticism. Therefore, in this study we will stay on the ground of immanent research, both critical and metacritical at the same time, investigating issues and literary, linguistic and political phenomena, all of which, researcher Arshi Pipa has supported on European theoretical linguistics and modern literary theories.Në këtë punim studimor do të analizojmë konceptet dhe mendimet e studiuesit të njohur Arshi Pipa për romantikun e parë shqiptar, Jeronim de Rada.
