foi proposta como alternativa à Dubrovnik para a celebração
da X edição do CIAM, representando deste modo uma
oportunidade uma maior ligação da sociedade portuguesa
aos CIAM, o primeiro projecto do edifício de Latino Coelho
reflecte uma alternativa séria para novas perspectivas urbanas
que foi apagada pela segunda proposta mais convencional.
Era uma possível aproximação maior do autor
perante alguns dos princípios do movimento moderno. Duas
propostas em planos diferentes do que poderia ter sido e
certamente não foi. This article tries to connect Artur Andrade and his generation
to its encircling contexts. Braga was proposed as
an alternative to Dubrovnik for the celebration of the 10th
edition of CIAM. It could have been an opportunity to bring
the portuguese society closer to CIAM. At the same time,
the first proposal for Latino Coelho’s building shows us a
serious alternative for a new urban perspective, but it was
lost on a more conventional second proposal. It had been
a possible personal approach of the author to some of the
principia of the Modern Movement. Two proposals in different

Get PDFTese (doutorado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Sociologia Política, Florianópolis, 2015.A construção do legado de Fernando Henrique Cardoso tem transcorrido a partir do signo de rupturas e dicotomias estruturantes, características que se articulam em torno da ideia da transição da atividade intelectual para a atividade política, num processo que reforça traços marcantes da imaginação política brasileira. Partindo da crítica dessa visão, este trabalho investiga o que o processo de formação do legado do autor como levado a cabo até aqui tem a dizer sobre os modos pelos quais se produz e se reinventa o ?pensamento político brasileiro?, ou, em outras palavras, o que sua trajetória intelectual individual representa em relação à trajetória coletiva de pensamento designada por esta expressão. Duas teses interpretativas principais são desenvolvidas ao longo deste trabalho: a primeira, de que o fio de continuidade e de unidade entre os diversos momentos da trajetória intelectual de Cardoso, negado pelas abordagens que até o presente vão dando conta da sistematização de seu legado, pode ser reconstruído e recuperado se a ênfase da análise recair na especificidade política de seus escritos, reconstrução e recuperação que, obviamente, não se furtam a considerar possíveis inconsistências, incoerências e mudanças nas crenças ao longo de sua trajetória; e a segunda, de que tal pensamento político, sem desconsiderar outras fontes genericamente rotuladas como ?universais?, estrutura-se a partir de um diálogo seletivo, sistemático e contínuo com algumas das principais matrizes de interpretação do político no país, diálogo este que, de um lado, torna possível evidenciar a existência de uma cosmovisão a atuar como ?fio condutor? para o conjunto de seu pensamento (conferindo a ele um sentido de coerência) e, de outro, entender o impacto ressignificador desse pensamento sobre tais matrizes. O trabalho está organizado em três partes: na primeira, produz-se uma reflexão teórico-metodológica do campo do pensamento político brasileiro; na segunda, discute-se a especificidade da reflexão política do autor a partir de dois momentos distintos (o do estabelecimento e o da consolidação das suas crenças políticas); e na terceira, num exercício de tentar aproximar as duas primeiras, discute-se a especificidade da inscrição do pensamento político do autor no campo do pensamento político brasileiro a partir de duas variáveis: as filiações e as recepções.Abstract : The construction of Fernando Henrique Cardoso?s legacy has been developed based on the mark of structuring ruptures and dichotomies, characteristics that are both articulated around the idea of the transition from the intellectual to the political activity, in a process that reinforces strong features of the Brazilian political imagination. Anchored in a criticism of this view, this study investigates what the process of formation of the author?s legacy developed until the present moment reveal about the forms through which the ?Brazilian political thought? is produced and reinvented, or, in other words, what his personal intellectual trajectory represents in relation to the collective thought trajectory designated by this expression. Two main interpretative theses are tested throughout this work: the first one is that the continuity and the unity between the several moments of Cardoso?s intellectual trajectory (denied by the approaches that, until the present moment, have been systematizing his legacy) can be reconstructed and recuperated if the emphasis of the analysis lies in the political specificity of his writings - assuming that both the reconstructing and the recuperation, obviously, do not fail to consider possible inconsistencies, incoherences and changes in the beliefs of the author throughout his trajectory; and second , that such political thought , without disregarding other sources generally labeled as ?universal? , is structured from a selective, systematic and continuous dialogue with some of the main forms of interpretation of the policy in the country, this dialogue , on the one hand , makes it possible to show the existence of a worldview to act as ?common thread? for all of his thought (giving him a sense of coherence), and on the other, to understand the impact of this ressignificador thinking about such matrices. The work is organized in three parts: in the first, the field of the Brazilian political thought is theoretical and methodologically questioned; in the second part, the specificity of the author?s political reflection is discussed based on two different moments (the establishment and the consolidation of his political beliefs); and, in the third part, in an attempt of approximating the two previous parts, the specificity of the insertion of the author?s political thought in the Brazilian political thought field is discussed, which is based on two variables: the filiations and the receptions

Manuel Simon-Machi, Aurelio Quesada-DoradorTwiddler syndrome is a rare entity in which patient manipulation causes lead dislocation with lead
retraction. Reel syndrome, on the other hand, is observed after external manipulation, intentional or
unintentional, in which the leads move along their transverse axis and is considered a variant of Twiddler
syndrome. We present the clinical case of a 91-year-old female who, after pacemaker implantation,
presented with dizziness and chest discomfort following constant manipulation of the pacemaker, resulting
in complete retraction of the lead tip into the pouch, which is unusual in the literature to date.Medicin

frequentemente associada a uma difícil recepção,
quer por parte dos ouvintes, quer por parte dos
próprios intérpretes.
Propondo-me investigar a preparação e a recepção
da sua performance, começo por clarificar os
conceitos de Performance Musical, de Imagem
Estética e de Expectativa Musical. Neste propósito
recorro ao testemunho empírico de grandes
instrumentistas, ao enquadramento científico e, em
especial, ao neurocientífico, abordando também a
importância da Música no desenvolvimento humano.
Na parte experimental desta pesquisa acedo à vida e
obra de Fernando Lopes-Graça, assim como à
recepção da sua música, através de treze entrevistas
feitas a personalidades próximas do compositor.
Realizo dois estudos quantitativos em torno de um
recital de piano com obras deste autor. Os estudos
investigaram possíveis diferenças da Expectativa
Musical entre:
Estudo I – Um Público Indiferenciado e um Público
com Experiência Coral, ambos assistindo a uma
versão formal do concerto; Estudo II - Um Recital Formal e um Recital
Comentado, ambos assistidos por público
indiferenciado.
Com os conceitos teóricos definidos e os resultados
experimentais, cotejei o pensamento e as posições
de Fernando Lopes-Graça, suscitando a perenidade
ou caducidade do seu magistério, expresso por
escrito entre os anos 1928 (primeiro texto publicado)
e 1994 (falecimento). Revisitei, por fim, a sua
biografia e a sua obra, não contornando as suas
opções ideológicas e partidárias sob a óptica
marxista, buscando confirmação e razões para a
alegada dificuldade de recepção para músicos e
ouvintes.The music of Fernando Lopes-Graça is often
associated with difficulties of reception, by listeners
and musicians alike. My proposal is to investigate
the preparation in performance of his music,
starting with the clarification of the concepts of
Musical Performance, Aesthetic Image and Musical
Expectation. To this aim I make use of the empirical
thoughts of great musicians, as well as providing
scientific backup, to wit a neuroscientific framework
and touching on the importance of music in human
social history.
In the experimental section of this research I access
either Fernando Lopes-Graça’s life and work or his
music reception by 13 interviews with nearby
personalities of the composer and two quantitative
studies about a piano recital with music from this
author. The studies have investigated possible
differences in Musical Expectation between:
Study I - An undifferentiated audience and an
audience with amateur choral practice training,
both regarding a formal version of the recital;
Study II – A formal and a commented recital, both
attended by undifferentiated audience.With these defined theoric concepts and with the
experimental results I gathered Lopes-Graça’s
thoughts and statements on this matter – evoking
the perennity or caducity of his mastership, which is
expressed in writing between the years of 1928
(first publication) and 1994 (decease). Lastly, I
revisited his biography and his work further, not
avoiding his ideological and party options from his
marxist perspective, in the search for reasons to
explain the alleged difficult reception that musicians
and listeners often mention
