A review of <i>Chamalycaeus</i>, <i>Cycloryx</i> and <i>Dicharax</i> species of the Himalaya and Myanmar and seven new species of Alycaeinae from the Blue Mountain, Mizoram, India (Gastropoda, Caenogastropoda, Cyclophoridae)
In this paper, we revise the genera Chamalycaeus, Cycloryx and Dicharax of the Himalayas and Myanmar. Another aim of this work was to identify the 13 species of Alycaeinae collected on the Blue Mountain, Mizoram State, northeastern India. Out of the 13 species from the Blue Mountain, seven are new and are described here: Chamalycaeus mizoramensis Páll-Gergely & Aravind sp. nov., Chamalycaeus reflectus Páll-Gergely & Aravind sp. nov., Cycloryx rohiniae Páll-Gergely & Aravind sp. nov., Dicharax praeda Páll-Gergely & Aravind sp. nov., D. semivivus Páll-Gergely & Aravind sp. nov., D. umashaankeri Páll-Gergely & Aravind sp. nov., D. ganeshaiahi Páll-Gergely & Aravind sp. nov. Altogether, 109 species are recognized, and all are figured. Furthermore, 37 new synonyms are reported, 32 of which were described by Godwin-Austen.</p
A Simple Approach to Clustering in Excel
Data clustering refers to the method of grouping data into different groups depending on their characteristics. This grouping brings an order in the data and hence further processing on this data is made easier. This paper explains the clustering process using the simplest of clustering algorithms - the K-Means. The novelty of the paper comes from the fact that it shows a way to perform clustering in Microsoft Excel 2007 without using macros, through the innovative use of what-if analysis. The paper also shows that, image processing operations can be done in excel and all operations except displaying an image do not require a macro. The paper gives a solution to the problem of reading an image in excel by introducing a user defined add-in. The paper also has explained and implemented image segmentation as an application of clustering. This paper aims at showing that Microsoft Excel is a great tool as far as technical learning is concerned for the fact that, it can implement almost all algorithms and processes, and is very successful in providing the first hand exposure to an novice student

Epidemiological study of ocular trauma in an urban slum population in Delhi, India.
PURPOSE: To study the epidemiology and clinical profile of victims of ocular trauma in an urban slum population. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This cross-sectional study, conducted on 500 families each in three randomly selected urban slums in Delhi, collected demographic data for all members of these families, and clinical data for all those who suffered ocular trauma at any time, that required medical attention. Data was managed on SPSS 11.0. RESULTS: Of 6704 participants interviewed, 163 episodes of ocular trauma were reported by 158 participants (prevalence = 2.4%, confidence interval = 2.0 to 2.7) Mean age at trauma was 24.2 years. The association between the age of participants and the history of ocular trauma was significant ( P < 0.001), when adjusted for sex, education and occupation. Males were significantly more affected. Blunt trauma was the commonest mode of injury (41.7%). Blindness resulted in 11.4% of injured eyes ( P = 0.028). Of 6704 participants, 1567 (23.4%) were illiterate, and no association was seen between education status and trauma, when adjusted for sex and age at injury. A significant association was noted between ocular trauma and workplace (Chi-square = 43.80, P < 0.001), and between blindness and place (Chi-square = 9.98, P = 0.041) and source (Chi-square = 10.88, P = 0.028) of ocular trauma. No association was found between visual outcome and the time interval between trauma and first consultation (Chi-square = 0.50, P = 0.78), between receiving treatment and the best corrected visual acuity (Chi-square = 0.81, P = 0.81), and between the person consulted and blinding ocular trauma (Chi-square = 1.88, P = 0.170). CONCLUSION: A significant burden of ocular trauma in the community requires that its prevention and early management be a public health priority

Thermodynamic analysis of coupling a SOEC in co-electrolysis mode with the dimethyl ether synthesis
This work describes a thermodynamic model of an integrated system for the production of a syngas, via a solid oxide electrolysis cell (SOEC), coupled with a subsequent catalytic upgrading into dimethyl ether (DME). The proposed energy system has been investigated on a thermodynamic basis, including exergy analysis.The syngas composition required for the catalytic upgrading is strongly affecting the SOEC design. SOEC operating conditions have been chosen in order to reach an H2/CO ratio close to 1 while avoiding carbon formation. The produced syngas from the SOEC is then pre‐treated and DME is synthesized in a one‐step reactor in which both methanol synthesis and dehydration occur. Two different plant configurations have been investigated including an ambient pressure and a pressurized system. The layout and operating parameters have been chosen in order to maximize the purity of the produced DME without affecting the overall efficiency and yield. The global heat demand has been assessed with the waste heat recovery method. In the optimal configuration, an improvement in the DME content of the final product is obtained, reaching a value of 99.8% in mass. Therefore, such configuration would allow the final product to be readily used for transportation applications

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed.
