Towards the greenship assessment and certificate of new building Design Recognition (DR) for the design of IDB-funded integrated classroom building
To foster Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) as the Center of Excellence in Learning Innovation, with the support from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), two 9-storeys integrated classroom buildings will be built, having the total built area about 44,800 sqm, which are divided exactly in two rectangle-shaped towering blocks. The buildings are projected to have green building status for Design Recognition (DR) by approaching GBCI’s greenship rating system. By using DED documents of the buildings, this study analyzes technical and engineering aspects to fulfill greenship requirements and recommends a specific level of greenship. The results show that overall targeted score is 47 and recommend Gold level of greenship
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Methods in water conservation as part of green building rating tools in indonesia – case study: Design of integrated classrooms building in
Under support from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) is going to develop two new integrated classroom buildings, which consist of not only classrooms, but also seminar rooms, laboratories, lecturer’s rooms, educational studios, and auditoria. As an approach to make the buildings gaining the green building certificate, the rating tools are selected from the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI). One of the parameters used in the rating tools are how the buildings manage its water resources, as rated from water conservation methods and techniques. The purpose of the research is to analyse the design of the new buildings, particularly the methods in water conservation to be rated in greenship for new building design. The data are obtained from all detailed engineering design documents of the buildings, which include working drawings, detailed specifications, and bill of quantity. By using parameters stated in the GBCI’s rating tools, methods of water conservation are analysed to gain the targeted score for fulfilling the specific level of greenship

User’s Perception of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) in Tall Office Buildings as the Cause of Symptoms of Sick Building Syndrome
The user’s assessment or perception of indoor air quality (IAQ) refers to an individual’s subjective assessment or perception of the quality of the air they breathe inside a particular building or space. This assessment or perception is very individual and can vary from one individual to another. This study aims to determine the IAQ felt by users of the Rectorate Building, State University of Malang, and its effect on Sick Building Syndrome (SBS) symptoms. This research is included in the quantitative research with the study population being all employees at the building, which has 215 people. The data collection technique in this study used the MM040NA questionnaire and the data analysis technique used was binary logistic regression analysis with the help of the IBM SPSS Statistics with crosstabs test. The results of this study indicate that all independent variables have no significant relationship with SBS symptoms experienced by respondents and all independent variables have a very weak correlation. In addition, from 80 respondents, 27 people (33.75%) experienced SBS and 53 people (66.25%) did not experience SBS. This shows that there is a SBS phenomenon in the building. The significance value for all independent variables is greater than the significance level value (>0.05). Furthermore, based on the test criteria, it is concluded that the variable airflow, high temperature, temperature change, low temperature, stale air, dry air, odor, air electrostatics, cigarette smoke, sound level, lighting, and air pollution have approximate significance values greater than 0.05 (null hypothesis was failed to be rejected). It is concluded that those variables have no significant relationship to the dependent variable (the SBS symptoms) experienced by the respondents
The Analysis of Tall Building Energy Performance by Using EDGE Application towards Net Zero Energy Building (NZEB)
Net Zero Energy Building (NZEB) is one of the innovative concepts for sustainable buildings because of its ability to save energy and reduce carbon emissions simultaneously. This study used a descriptive approach to review tall building data through the parameter of saving electricity by using the EDGE application. Primary data is data obtained from working drawings or detailed engineering design (DED), work plans and specifications, and budget plans. EDGE application also produced several outputs to analyze energy performance: final energy use, operational CO2 emissions, embodied energy, utility cost, cooling loads, energy savings, operational CO2 savings, cost savings, annual EPI base case, improved EPI, number of affected people, base case and improved global warming potential of refrigerants. The EDGE also analyzed the following data: building type, site location, project details, building utility data, occupational and operational information, building dimension and specification, HVAC system, fuel used, and climate data. The energy performance of the building is analyzed by using EDGE’s parameters coded by EEM 01-37 that span from the windows-to-walls ratio to the use of low environmental impact refrigerant
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
