Az Ákos-nemzetség a középkori Borsod megyében
At the turn of the 13th and 14th century a new, wide-spread but shortlived possession-system was developed by the Ákos-clan in the territory of modern Borsod county. Their estate was bipolar. They had two administrational centres with a castle and a monastery. Their main administrational centre was in Diósgyőr on the eastern part of their possession but they had another castle in Dédes on the west. The Ákos-clan had two castles built on their estate and they founded a monastery of order of hermit St. Paul in both administrational centre. This clan owned their estate for only 70 years but during this very short period they had some important building built. Fortunately, we know every building was built by this clan. The scientists discovered and cleared te early periods of the castle in Diósgyőr and digged up the foundation-walls of the monastery close to the castle. Although we do not know very much about the castle in Dédes, the walls of the monastery in Dédes-Szentlélek remained in well condition. The author of this essay dealed with this territory since he was young. And now we can read about his favourite subject, unfortunatelly some months after his death
Valutapolitika Bécsben és Budapesten. A Wekerle-életmű új megvilágításban : Recenzió Kárbin Ákos új könyvéről = Currency Policy in Vienna and in Budapest. The Wekerle-Life-Work in a New Light : Book Review about Ákos Kárbin’s New Book
Jelen recenzió a magyar gazdaságtörténet egyik legfényesebb akciójáról írt feldolgozást ismerteti. | The book reviews one of the most splendid actions in Hungarian economic history. The Golden
Man of the Monarchy by Ákos Kárbin, published
in 2022,, presents with grand historiographical intuition the long and contradictory way
to the create the gold standard currency in the
Austro-Hungarian Empire. The review of the
book asserts that the introduction of the gold
standard was really long and laborious. It analyses to what extent Ákos Kábin managed to
present each stage of this journey. The review
very much emphasizes how rightly the author
had chosen the several sources in the archives
in Vienna and in Germany. At the end of the
assessments of the review, the reviewer makes
proposals on how to make the current perception of Wekerle’s personality more elaborate
yet more refined

Scriabin and Kodály in the Reading of Antal Molnár, Imre Molnár and Emil Haraszti
This study examines how Kodály, his student Antal Molnár and his colleague Imre Molnár, and their adversary Emil Haraszti saw Scriabin’s music throughout the first half of the twentieth century. Audiences were responsive, as seen by the continuous performance of his works by Hungarian and international musicians beginning in 1906. There was a great deal of curiosity in his orchestral pieces, but only four of them were played ten times throughout the course of a century. Rêverie and Le Poème Divin debuted in Budapest in 1910, followed by Le Poème de l’extase in 1919, although Prometheus did not make its appearance until 2001. Kodály found his music peculiar and disinteresting, judging it to be a poorer disciple of Richard Strauss and Claude Debussy. However, following the composer’s death, his pupils discovered new values in him, characterizing him as mythical (like A. Molnár A.) and mystical (like I. Molnár). And Haraszti thought it was excellent music. A different interpretation referred to Scriabin as the "Russian Bartók." He was regarded as "one of the most inventive experimenters of his time", which was a mixed acclaim. After 1945, newspapers mostly complimented his piano pieces and symphony conductors. Marxist aesthetes after 1949 saw his work as a failure due to his spiritual goals, which A. Molnár regarded as a distinctive value. Two pioneering conductors, who considered Kodály their distant teacher, Z. Kocsis and A. Ertüngealp, gave the first performances of his hitherto unperformed pieces after 1990

The metamorphosis of the communist party: from entity to system and from system towards an entity
A complex analytical framework, the Interactive Party state model (IPS), is offered for revealing the structural and dynamic background of opposite processes: first, the development of the communist party as a political entity into a politically monopolized regime and then to a social system; second, the retreat of the party as a social system towards a politically monopolized regime or a political entity during the process of transformation into another system. We shall point to the fact that it is the structural background of the differences of the transformation process that brings about the different sequence of the retreat of the party as a social system from economic or political sub-fields first. The different sequence will be accompanied by different economic conditions for political transformation contributing to the complete or partial retreat of the party to either a political entity or to an authoritarian political regime.party-state systems, social system evolution, differences among partystates, varieties of capitalism, path-dependencies in system transformation
