Por tal razón, es necesario buscar la manera de obtenerla lo más limpia posible y al menor costo. Esta investigación trata sobre el aprovechamiento de la energía eólica para generar electricidad con las características antes mencionadas, y crear una fuente de energía renovable para satisfacer las necesidades del hombre. Uno de los propósitos del presente trabajo es estudiar esta energía, ya que, en los últimos tiempos, ha adquirido importancia significativa en el ámbito global para la generación de electricidad, pues evita la emisión de gases contaminantes que contribuyen a la formación del efecto invernadero, por lo que es fundamental aprovechar al máximo este tipo de recurso. Al mejorar la tecnología de los aerogeneradores, se ha impulsado directa e indirectamente a la energía renovable como fuente principal de generación de electricidad en el siglo XXI. Aquí se explica, mediante fórmulas físicas y matemáticas, el proceso que los aerogeneradores llevan a cabo para efectuar la trasformación de energía mecánica en eléctrica. El análisis crea las bases necesarias para comprobar la factibilidad de usar pequeños aerogeneradores en lugares donde el flujo de aire es constante; se estudian, además, los impactos ambientales, el recurso eólico del área, aspectos financieros clave, así como el ahorro que se produciría en el consumo de combustibles fósiles si se utilizara, en forma complementaria, la energía eólica
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Maestría en Diseño.Con la explosión en el uso de las nuevas tecnologías y la informática, se presentan nuevas opciones de organización en la forma de diseñar productos, lo que provoca que el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje también sufra modificaciones importantes. Es por ello que la reflexión en torno a estos temas es valiosa en todo momento. Abordando el caso particular del diseño industrial y su desarrollo con la asistencia de los sistemas de cómputo, en un hecho consumado que se han realizado trabajos con la ayuda de este dispositivo electrónico, pero es escaso el número de testimonios que se han abordado este tema. Así entonces, inventando visualizar un panorama que rebase el simple trato de hacer lo mismo con el uso de la tecnología digital y forzar un enlace de lo nuevo con lo viejo, la aportación de este documento apunta hacia un replanteamiento en la manera de diseñar de acuerdo a los tiempos que actualmente imperan, de tal forma que el presente trabajo es una propuesta de un nuevo método para el desarrollo de productos por computadora. Este documento está compuesto por cinco capítulos, y se inicia con un antecedente general acerca del estado actual que guarda la reacción del diseño y las nuevas tecnologías. Posteriormente se contempla la forma de diseñar con la ayuda de sistemas computacionales tanto en México con el extranjero, esto en el marco del tema tratado. En el capítulo dos, se define el problema de investigación, donde se establecen las hipótesis, los objetivos, las preguntas, las variables y justificación de investigación. En el capítulo tres, se describe el proceso de diseño y la propuesta del método de diseño industrial asistido por computadora (MDIAC), indicando las acciones a realizar en cada parte que lo integra. En el capítulo cuatro se desarrolla el método de diseño industrial asistido por computadora MDIAC, donde cada parte es realizada con la asistencia de los sistemas de cómputo, periféricos de apoyo y programas de diseño. El capítulo cinco se desarrollan los análisis y resultados del método propuesto, mencionando los eventos observados y graficando los porcentajes de respuesta en cada caso con el fin de tener claridad en las partes del proyecto donde conviene usar sistemas de cómputo y en cual solo se recurre a estos medios como apoyo en la administración de la información obtenida. Así mismo se especifican las ventajas y desventajas de las técnicas de computo usadas en cada parte del MDIAC. Por último, se elaboran las conclusiones del trabajo realizado con respecto al método propuesto, estableciendo el uso adecuado de los sistemas de cómputo que sean acordes para el MDIAC, plataformas para diseñar por computadora, periféricos y otros elementos importantes para controlar el proceso de diseño industrial asistido por computadora, y de igual forma, la recomendaciones con respecto al seguimiento de este trabajo y las posibilidades de difusión en las instituciones de educación superior en las carreras de Diseño Industrial
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
Full text linkWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
