Full text linkThis research discussed the ideas of Amin al-Khuli in the teaching of Arabic literature or Balaghah. The name Amin al-Khuli is popular as the reformer of Balaghah. This research was a qualitative research. This research used two books of Amin al-Khuli, i.e., Manahij Tajdid and Fannul Qaul. The result of this research concluded that Amin al-Khuli emphasized two important goals of teaching Balaghah, i.e., the practical and artistic goals. He did not consider the importance of religious goals of Balaghah to understand the Qur’an. In terms of contents, he denied the classification of Balaghah into Ma’ani, Bayan, and Badi’; instead, he changed it into kalimat (words), jumal (sentences), fiqrah (paragraph), and shuwar ta’biriyyah (kinds of expressions). The research emphasized the importance of conducting further research to create a better textbook of Balaghah based on Amin Khuli’s ideas

Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif berbasis studi pustaka. Penulis menggunakan dua buku
Amin al-Khuli sebagai rujukan utama yang berjudul, yaitu Manahij Tajdid dan Fan al-Qaul. Dalam
melalakukan analisis, penulis menggunakan pendekatan istiqra?i atau bottom-up approach. Di antara
hasilnya, penulis menemukan bahwa tujuan pembelajaran yang ditekankan Amin al-Khuli adalah
agar siswa dapat menggunakan ilmu Balaghah dalam percakapan dan penulisan sehari-hari (praktis).
Selain itu, agar siswa mampu menikmati dan menghasilkan karya-karya sastra (artistik). Amin alKhuli tidak melihat pentingnya tujuan-tujuan keagamaan dalam pengajaran Balaghah. Amin al-Khuli
juga merubah susunan konten ilmu Balaghah, yang secara umum dikenal terbagi menjadi tiga cabang
yaitu Ma?ani, Bayan, dan Badi?, menjadi kalimat (kata), jumal (kalimat), fiqrah (gagasan/ide), shuwar
ta?biriyyah (bentuk-bentuk redaksi). Penelitian ini juga menekankan pentingnya penulisan buku
pelajaran Balaghah berdasarkan ide pembaharuan Amin al-Khuli

No full textThis research aims to uncover the names of thinkers who encourage the renewal of Balaghah (Arabic Islamic Rethoric), as well as to find the pioneer of the renewal of Balaghah in modern era. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The author takes data from Munir Muhammad Kholil Nida\u27s dissertation (1980), and other references related to the title of the discussion. Among the results of this study, it is known that Munir mentioned important names who are considered the pioneers of Balaghah reform in modern times, including: Ahmad Badawi, Mustafa Amin and Ali Jarim, Abdul Aziz Basyari, Anis Al-Maqdisi, Ali Al-Umari, Abdu Ar-Razaq Muhyiddin, Amin Al-Khuli, and Ahmad As-Syaib. And the most important pioneers of reform among them were Amin Al-Khuli and Ahmad As-Syaib. Because both of them made a special book on the principles of their renewal ideas. And Amin Al-Khuli is considered superior to Ahmad As-Syaib with a logical division of titles, and the ability to provide satisfactory explanations in the selection of titles in the new Balaghah concept
