The Effect Of Green Bean Flour Substitution On The Quality Of Snow's Cookies
This research is motivated by the lack of utilization of local food ingredients, especially mung bean flour in food processing. Because usually the main ingredient for making Snow White cookies uses imported ingredients, namely flour. This study aims to analyze the effect of 0%, 25%, 50% and 75% substitution of mung bean flour on the quality of snow white cookies in terms of shape, color, aroma, texture and taste. This type of research is a pure experiment (true experiment) using One-factor completely randomized design (CRD) method, namely the use of mung bean flour (0%, 25%, 50% and 75%) with three repetitions. The type of data used is primary data sourced from 3 expert panelists who have provided an assessment through a questionnaire (organoleptic test format). The data that has been obtained are then tabulated and analysis of variance (ANOVA) is performed. If they are different and there is an effect, the Duncan test is carried out. The results showed that there was a significant effect between 0%, 25%, 50% and 75% on the quality of Snow White's cookies, namely the quality of the inner color, the fragrant aroma of green beans and the taste of green beans. The quality of the crescent shape, neat, crumbly texture and sweet taste had no effect on the quality of Snow White's cookies. The best percentage of quality in the inner color was obtained at 50% substitution, the fragrant aroma of the substituted green beans was 75% and the taste of green beans was 75%.

Spontaneous closure of vesicovaginal fistulas after bladder drainage alone: Review of the evidence
A vesicovaginal fistula may occur as a surgical complication, the result of obstructed labor, or a late manifestation of radiotherapy. Surgical treatment includes many routes and techniques, with a success rate reaching 100percent. The spontaneous closure of vesicovaginal fistulae after bladder drainage alone for varying periods has been reported by many. The factors favoring the success of this conservative method have not been well esamined. In this paper, all articles refering to this modality were reveiwed. The parameters studied included etiology, size, interval from the causative insult to drainage, and duration of drainage. The incidence of spontaneous closure of fistulate after bladder drainage alone ranged 0 and 100percent. Among all assessed criteria, the interval to drainage seems to have the best correlation with success. This findi ng is most likely explained on the basis of the epithelialization of the fistulous tract with time, preventing spontaneous healing. In the view of the retrospective nature of the reviewed articles, the absence of a detailed classification system, and the heterogeneity of the treatment in question, no solid conclusion regarding management recommendations can be drawn. © International Urogynecology Journal 2006.Angioli R, 2003, CRIT REV ONCOL HEMAT, V48, P295, DOI 10.1016-S1040-8428(03)00123-9; Chittacharoen A, 1993, J Med Assoc Thai, V76 Suppl 1, P87; CLARK DH, 1975, SOUTHERN MED J, V68, P1410; COLLINS CG, 1971, AM J OBSTET GYNECOL, V111, P524; Cumming G P, 2000, J Obstet Gynaecol, V20, P637; DAVITS RJAM, 1991, BRIT J UROL, V68, P155, DOI 10.1111-j.1464-410X.1991.tb15285.x; Dogra PN, 2001, INT UROGYNECOL J PEL, V12, P69, DOI 10.1007-s001920170097; Eilber KS, 2003, J UROLOGY, V169, P1033, DOI 10.1097-01.ju.0000049723.57485.e7; ELKINS TE, 1994, AM J OBSTET GYNECOL, V170, P1108; Emmert C, 1996, ARCH GYNECOL OBSTET, V259, P19, DOI 10.1007-BF02505304; ENZELSBERGER H, 1991, SURG GYNECOL OBSTET, V173, P183; FALK HC, 1957, OBSTET GYNECOL, V9, P538; Flores-Carreras O, 2001, INT UROGYNECOL J PEL, V12, P203, DOI 10.1007-s001920170065; Frank RT, 1917, SURG GYNECOL OBSTET, V25, P538; GORREA MA, 1985, EUR UROL, V11, P341; Harkki-Siren P, 1998, OBSTET GYNECOL, V92, P113, DOI 10.1016-S0029-7844(98)00146-X; HARROW BR, 1969, OBSTET GYNECOL, V33, P852; Hilton P, 1998, Int Urogynecol J Pelvic Floor Dysfunct, V9, P189, DOI 10.1007-BF01901602; Hilton P, 2003, INT J GYNECOL OBSTET, V82, P285, DOI 10.1016-S0020-7292(03)00222-4; Huang WC, 2002, UROL CLIN N AM, V29, P709, DOI 10.1016-S0094-0143(02)00064-2; HYMAN R M, 1965, Clin Obstet Gynecol, V17, P465; KEETTEL WC, 1978, AM J OBSTET GYNECOL, V131, P425; Kiilholma P J, 1994, Ann Chir Gynaecol Suppl, V208, P40; Latzko W., 1942, AM J SURG, V58, P211, DOI 10.1016-S0002-9610(42)90009-6; LAWSON J, 1972, British Journal of Urology, V44, P623, DOI 10.1111-j.1464-410X.1972.tb10135.x; LEE RA, 1988, OBSTET GYNECOL, V72, P313; Lentz SS, 2005, J REPROD MED, V50, P41; MARSHALL VF, 1979, J UROLOGY, V121, P25; Mathevet P, 2001, EUR J OBSTET GYN R B, V97, P71, DOI 10.1016-S0301-2115(00)00484-X; Milicic D, 2001, INT J GYNECOL OBSTET, V73, P35, DOI 10.1016-S0020-7292(00)00369-6; Naru T, 2004, J OBSTET GYNAECOL RE, V30, P293, DOI 10.1111-j.1447-0756.2004.00196.x; OCONOR VJ, 1973, J UROLOGY, V109, P51; Ou CS, 2004, J LAPAROENDOSC ADV A, V14, P17, DOI 10.1089-109264204322862306; PREMA MN, 1962, J OBSTET GYN BR COMM, V69, P311; Ramaiah KS, 1998, AUST NZ J OBSTET GYN, V38, P475, DOI 10.1111-j.1479-828X.1998.tb03118.x; Soong Y., 1997, SMJ, V38, P475; Sotelo R, 2005, J UROLOGY, V173, P1615, DOI 10.1097-01.ju.0000154701.97539.ef; SOTTO L S J, 1990, European Journal of Gynaecological Oncology, V11, P447; STOVSKY MD, 1994, J UROLOGY, V152, P1443; SYMMONDS RE, 1984, CLIN OBSTET GYNECOL, V27, P499, DOI 10.1097-00003081-198406000-00024; TANCER ML, 1992, SURG GYNECOL OBSTET, V175, P501; Volkmer BG, 2000, ULTRASOUND MED BIOL, V26, P771, DOI 10.1016-S0301-5629(00)00210-6; WAALDIJK K, 1995, INT J GYNECOL OBSTET, V49, P161, DOI 10.1016-0020-7292(95)02350-L; Waaldijk K, 2004, AM J OBSTET GYNECOL, V191, P795, DOI 10.1016-j.ajog.2004.02.020; Waaldijk K, 1997, TROP DOCT, V27, P227; WAALDIJK K, 1994, INT J GYNECOL OBSTET, V45, P11, DOI 10.1016-0020-7292(94)90759-5; WEED JC, 1967, AM J OBSTET GYNECOL, V97, P107115151
ABSTRACT This PhD thesis, entitled “The footprint of childhood in the creative impulse. The primeval ambits”, develops an atlas of childhood scenes, revealing an underlying architectural imaginary that emerges from the vital experience of the space. We move into the project theory by linking the childhood footprints with the creative impulse through the interpretation of some essential testimonies that discover a field of research as archaic as contemporary. Our approach to the architectural project integrates the autobiographical constituent in the creative processes by constituting a collective imaginary and also revealing the extraordinary richness of space experiences in childhood as one of the fundamental sources that goes through the modernity. These scenes are shown from the starting point of the interpretive analysis of a childhood memory that reflects an original experience, a primeval ambit; around this main testimony, the core of the written text, a constellation is generated by connecting other materials that recreate those mythical spaces narrated in the memories. This research is located on the boundaries between childhood and architecture fields. We explore transversely the territories that emerge from the different perspectives of disciplines such as psychology, pedagogy, anthropology or art with the common reflection of the experience and production of space, searching keys of its creation. All through the investigation, we develop multiple narratives that find their cohesion through the poetics of space and phenomenological thinking. These topics converge in the attempt of understanding, creating and communicating the existential space as a vital environment experienced by inhabiting it, in an especially intense and explicit way in childhood. We investigate by accepting the heterogeneity of the diverse materials that integrate this document. Gathering literary texts and intimate testimonies, visual artist works and photographic images, sculptural proposals, models and architectural built projects… various resources that converge on spatial experiences and practices connected with childhood. Going back to the “primary sources” has enabled us to generate an atlas, a suite of childhood scenes, connecting heterogeneous fragments through the collage or assemblage, thus forming constellations always unfinished, opened and available to new interpretations. Realizing that every look is an interpretation, the author’s vision, the researcher or the child, the narrative fact is inherent in the research itself. The interpretations unfold as if they were successive windows which allow the encounter with our past through what is observed at present moment. The initial and final chapters, both dedicated to the territories of childhood, are focused on the role of memory. They try to build the imaginary based on the approach that both records coexist in the immediate action and constitute themselves reciprocally one another, on symbiosis. We explore their correlates on the territories of the architectural project accepting of the internal mobility of this temporal vector: the present actions of the children as well as the creative act operate in the moment of its production as hinges between memory and imaginary. The corpus of this thesis is formed as a suite where the scenes are integrated charting possible constellations focused on each of these forms of the experience of the space; we intentionally group them into three chapters that develop around some broad categories. Each one shows a specific kind of space experience, characterized by the predominance of a particular perceptual and semantic field: we call them “primal ambits” of the tangible, the sensible and the ungraspable; these are forms in which the space and the body experience found each other, recognizing the world as they built meaningful relationships that reappear in the creational process. First, we focus on the “tangible ambits” where we link to the proprioception of the topological body, thus founding experiences connected to the body such as the interiority of the cave, the externality of the hill, the in-between space of the valley, the primal image of the egg or the construction of the nest... Secondly, we focus on the “sensitive ambits” where the experience of the sensible appears linked to the predominance of the senses, to the poly-sensory perception; we are in front of the air and light perception, we discover the color-light floating into the space, we look at the phenomena as builder of atmospheres to finally dive into the opposite role of shadows and darkness, showing the night as a time that transforms intensely the sense of space... Thirdly, we focus on the ungraspable ambits which appeal to some experiences provoked by events which involve very varied material supports. Here we pursue concepts hard to analyze, phenomena that we cannot reach nor capture as they escape, characterized by its indefinite nature. Appealing to the gravitational, the mobile or the rhythm level, they reveal certain hidden dimensions of space as the games with the disappearance or the secret... a peculiar journey that leads us to notions such as the sense of the infinite. We have given a special prominence to the childhood memories because of the testimonial value that involves in this research. The mentioned memories lead some authors to narrate some early experiences as fundamental architectural motifs, discovering us an extraordinary imaginary consciously or unconsciously connected with his infancy. We consider that the remembrance of childhood can be understood as an intentional reconstruction that transforms “a posteriori” the original experience; so, the life lessons they obtained from those “primeval ambits” are reinterpreted in a new construct expressing the creative search of the adult, as a traveller of his childhood. In this sense, original texts showing explicit testimonies whose interpretation implies a historical dimension have been collected. This interpretation, far from any nostalgia, is faced from its current validity. They are texts of authors whose ideas go beyond the functional modernity remembering us the power of the fingerprint that is stamped by the experience integrated to our own childhood. There is a wide range of written, graphic or constructed documents with different origins: thinkers, writers, artists and architects such as Frank Lloyd Wright, Alvar Aalto, Richard Buckminster Fuller, Richard Neutra, The Eames, A. & P. Smithson, Aldo van Eyck, or more recently, Aldo Rossi, Peter Zumthor, Toyo Ito and Juan Navarro Baldeweg... On their return to certain moments of their infancy, the biographical facts are recreated and transformed. They become into significant events. These architects take this grounding as a source, founding a core from which they arrive to develop their own “intimate creative manifesto”. The main hypothesis of the research is based on the understanding of the autobiographical history as one of the powerful impulses that underlies the creative fact and therefore in the production of architecture; this has pushed us to follow the footsteps of childhood and its emerging in the project, expanding the search field across other disciplines while we restrict the domain of exploration to the space experience. Thus arises the question about the linkages with a childhood where some essential motifs are rooted, founding the creative search of some architects of modernity, whose continuity we find in the contemporary world too. There have been opened and explored the fields of exploration that provides “the world of children” to the “theory of the architectural project”, obtaining some “open conclusions”. Among them, we highlight some main: Involving both the individual and the collective dimensions, childhood stands as a pertinent observation deck of the horizons of creativity. The biological and cultural dimensions are knit together especially in early childhood, shaping an indissoluble construct that both emerges and underpins our relationship with the world. We found in a recurrent way testimonies that show childhood as a time without age that emerges suddenly in the creative processes and therefore also in the field of architecture. The creative practices are revealed able to keep alive the bond with the mentioned substrate as a source, since the territories of the imaginary operate in symbiosis with the territories of memory. The protagonists of this research show the author as a mediator who brings out the mentioned “underlying reservoir” by reflecting this substrate explicitly in their work. It has been tested the validity of the proposed categories to encompass the common places between childhood and architecture, as ways of approaching to the experience from the tangible, sensible and ungraspable. It has been highlighted the extraordinary richness and complexity of the ambits experienced in childhood and its reflection in the studied projects, based on main topics as the essential role of the body, on the phenomenon of the sensory, or from the movement or rhythm... These conclusions have a major impact on the way we can focus the university education of future architects, by involving consciously in their creative processes the role of their memories from infancy, understanding the space from the emotional level, as well as incorporating the autobiographical fact: appealing to the transformation of the environment by projecting it through the integration of their own experience. This is not only a theoretical problem, as this search leads us towards basic ethical questions that are involved the designing process: if the sense of space constructs our relationship with the present world in a so fundamental way, what kind of environments should we allow children to develop currently? If we understand that this field is engaged with the cognition development, how could we take it into account in the architectural creative practices? If the crossing takes place between the individual and the collective experience, how do the trajectories of each child prefigure common regarding paths that converge in archetypes? If the world is formed into a dialogic between nature and culture, how could we allow children to participate and live the city as an actual territory of game? If creativity, lived experience and its narratives are intimately linked, should we approach to the design thinking as a continuous recursive process from an holistic view? However we do not intend to answer these questions and solve them. We take these “open conclusions” only as starting points that make possible to transform our surroundings creatively by integrating our own childhood and the one which happens every day, findi
