Masjid dalam Sejarah Islam tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tempat ibadah, tetapi juga menjadi pusat peradaban dan pendidikan umat. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya menghidupkan kembali fungsi ideal mesjid sebagaimana yang di contohkan oleh Rosulullah SAW, di mana masjid dijadikan sebagai pusat pendidikan dan pengetahuan agama di Masjid Al-Mustakim. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan peran masjid sebagai pusat Pendidikan Islam di Ma’had Aly Muhammad Al-Fatih. Menjelaskan bentuk kegiatan Pendidikan di masjid Ma’had Aly Muhammad Al-Fatih. Dan menjelaskan faktor pendukung dan penghambat proses Pendidikan di Ma’had Aly Muhammad Al-fatih.
Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif sengan jenis penelitian dekskriptif. Peneliti sebagai instrumen kunci dalam pengambiland ata penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Lokasi penelitian berfokus pada Masjid Al-Mustakim di Ma’had Aly Muhammad Al-Fatih.teknik analisis data melalui reduksi, display, dan penarikan kesimpulan.
Hasil penelitian ini adalah Masjid Al-Mustakim di lingkungan Ma’had Aly Muhammad Al-Fatih berperan membentuk dan memperkuat pendidikan agama Islam. Masjid ini tidak hanya digunakan sebagai tempat ibadah, tetapi juga sebagai sarana pembinaan karakter dan pengembangan ilmu agama. Bentuk-bentuk pendidikan Islam yang dilakukan di Masjid Al-Mustakim mencerminkan pola pembelajaran yang terstruktur dan variatif. Pada pelaksanaan peran masjid sebagai pusat pendidikan Islam, terdapat faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat. Faktor pendukungnya antara lain lokasi yang strategis, fasilitas yang memadai, dan dukungan dari pengurus serta masyarakat sekitar. Sementara itu, kendala yang dihadapi meliputi keterbatasan sumber daya manusia dalam pengelolaan kegiatan dan kurangnya dokumentasi program secara administratif
Sterile neutrinos in astrophysical neutrino flavor
In this paper, we study the effect of active-neutrino-sterile-neutrino mixing in the expected high-energy astrophysical neutrino flavor content. Non-unitarity in the measurement of the three-active neutrinos can be due to the existence of sterile neutrino states. We introduce the concept of the four-flavor tetrahedron in order to visualize the lack of unitarity in the astrophysical neutrino three-flavor triangle. We demonstrate that active-sterile neutrino mixings modify the allowed region of the astrophysical flavor ratio from the standard case. However, a projection of the four-flavor tetrahedron has restrictions of phase space similar to the three-flavor triangle. On the other hand, the initial presence of astrophysical sterile neutrinos drastically changes the scenario, and it allows an apparent unitarity violation in the three-flavor triangle space. Using current global fit constraints including the non-unitarity case, we also illustrate the allowed astrophysical neutrino flavor ratios. Thus, the measurement of the high-energy astrophyscal neutrino flavor content allows us to explore sterile neutrinos independently of the sterile neutrino mass scale. These are topics of investigation for current and future neutrino telescopes
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Density matrix calculation of the dark matter abundance in the Higgs induced right-handed neutrino mixing model
We present new results on the calculation of the dark matter relic abundance within the Higgs induced right-handed neutrino mixing model, solving the associated density matrix equation. For a benchmark value of the dark matter mass MDM = 220 TeV, we show the evolution of the abundance and how this depends on reheat temperature, dark matter lifetime and source right-handed neutrino mass MS, with the assumption MS < MDM. We compare the results with those obtained within the Landau-Zener approximation, showing that the latter largely overestimates the final abundance giving some analytical insight. However, we also notice that since in the density matrix formalism the production is non-resonant, this allows source right-handed neutrino masses below the W boson mass, making dark matter more stable at large mass values. This opens an allowed region for initial vanishing source right-handed neutrino abundance. For example, for MS ≳ 1 GeV, we find MDM≳ 20 PeV. Otherwise, for MS > MW∼ 100 GeV, one has to assume a thermalisation of the source right-handed neutrinos prior to the freeze-in of the dark matter abundance. This results into a large allowed range for MDM, depending on MS. For example, imposing MS ≳ 300 GeV, allowing also successful leptogenesis, we find 00.5 ≲ MDM/TeV ≲ 50. We also discuss in detail leptogenesis with two quasi-degenerate right-handed neutrinos, showing a case when observed dark matter abundance and matter-antimatter asymmetry are simultaneously reproduced. Finally, we comment on how an initial thermal source right-handed neutrino abundance can be justified and on how our results suggest that also the interesting case where MDM < MS, embeddable in usual high scale two right-handed neutrino seesaw models, might be viable
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
