PENGGUNAAN AKTIVATOR H3PO4 DAN KOMBINASI H3PO4- NaHCO3 PADA AKTIVASI LOW-RANK COAL KALIMANTAN TIMUR
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pengaruh waktu aktivasi low-rank coal Kalimantan Timur menggunakan aktivator H3PO4 dan kombinasi H3PO4- NaHCO3 terhadap kualitas karbon aktif yang dihasilkan. Low-rank coal dengan ukuran -65 +100 mesh dikarbonisasi pada temperature 6000C selama 3 jam, kemudian setelah dingin diaktivasi menggunakan aktivator H3PO4 dan kombinasi H3PO4- NaHCO3 konsentrasi 2,5 M selama 2, 4 dan 6 jam. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisa pengujian karbon aktif sesuai dengan syarat mutu Standar Nasional Indonesia SNI 06-3730-1995 mencakup kadar air, kadar abu, volatile matter, fixed carbon dan daya jerap iodine. Aktivasi low-rank coal menggunakan kombinasi H3PO4- NaHCO3 memberikan hasil terbaik pada waktu aktivasi 6 jam menghasilkan karbon aktif dengan kadar air 3,50 %, kadar abu 14,91 %, volatile matter 9,81 %, fixed carbon 71,78 % dan daya jerap iodine sebesar 505,01 mg/gr. Meskipun daya jerap iodine yang dihasilkan belum memenuhi standar SNI 06-3730-1995 namun aktivasi low-rank coal Kalimantan Timur menggunakan kombinasi H3PO4- NaHCO3 telah mampu meningkatkan daya jerap iodine low-rank coal dari 215,751 mg/gr menjadi 505,01 mg/gr
EFFECTIVENESS OF USE ACTIVATED CARBON (BROWNCOAL EAST KALIMANTAN) TO REDUCE VALUE OF TOTAL SUSPENDED SOLID IN WASTE LIQUID INDUSTRY WAREHOUSE SARUNG SAMARINDA
Indonesia is one of the countries that have a lot of coals reserves in the world, however, its utilization is still limited tothe manufacture of briquettes and used as fuel for power generation. Coal has potential as raw material for makingactivated carbon, because it has high carbon content. Activated carbon can be utilized in the process of waste treatmentincluding industrial Sarong Samarinda. This study aims to determine the effect of the amount of adsorbent added to thedegradation of parameters Total Suspended Solid (TSS) and pH wastewater of industrial sarong cloth. Coal that has beencarbonized and uniformed size -40 + 65 mesh is physically activated at T = 800 C with a 2.5 hour activation time.Furthermore, the analysis of activated carbon testing in accordance with the quality requirements of Indonesian industrystandard SII 0258-79. Activated carbon resulting from the process of physics activation is then applied to the processingof industrial liquid waste Sarong Samarinda , which located in Samarinda Seberang. This research was done by adding5% .10% and 15% activated carbon weight to 700 ml of industrial liquid waste sample of Samarinda Sarong cloth anddone by adsorption process, filtering process and parameter analysis of environmental pollutant parameters such as TSSand pH. The initial liquid waste of the Sarong Samarinda cloth industry has a TSS value exceeding the industry liquidwaste quality standard threshold of 93.652 mg/liter and pH 5.59. After the adsorption process on the addition ofactivated carbon 5%, 10% and 15% obtained value of TSS respectively of 17.332 mg/liter; 1.838 mg/liter; 1.410mg/liter and pH respectively 6.13; 6.46; 6.92. The decrease of TSS value happened 81.49% - 98.49%. From the resultsobtained, the use of KALTIM browncoal active carbon is quite effective to reduce the value of TSS and increase pH ofthe liquid waste in the Sarong Samarinda cloth industry in accordance with KepMen LH. 51/MENLH/10/1995

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
