Variations on the Author
No full text“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

No full textThis paper presents an environmental diagnosis based on public complaints on environmental
issues submitted to the Environmental Department of the Aveiro City Council, Portugal, between
2000 and 2005. It discusses the potential influences of these in local environmental planning
and governance. The paper has been organised into five sections. The first of these introduces
the study. The second section focuses on the conceptual approaches relating to environmental
grassroots movements, the main actors involved in these movements and the role played by
local government. It also contains a brief review of the most recent urban environmental
quality challenges in the European context together with a description of the main features of
the associated political and legal framework in Portugal. The third section describes the case
study and the methodology used. The results of the empirical study are detailed in the fourth
section. The final section critically analyses these results with emphases on the temporal
evolution of the submission of complaints, the actors involved, the local environmental problems
and their associated spatial pattern as well as the responses given by the City Council. This
information may then be used to provide a useful indicator for the perception of environmental
quality as well as a credible instrument for the visualisation and evaluation of local performance

ABSTRACT INTRODUCTION: Population aging is a global problem for which all health and social systems of all countries needs be prepared, including the Czech Republic. It is assumed that in 2050 every third citizen of the Czech Republic will be 65 years and older. The group of seniors is characterized by high polymorbidity and polypharmacotherapy. Prescription of drugs is also very complicated in seniors due to changes accompanying aging (at the level of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and homeostasis). Predpokladá sa, že v roku 2050 bude v ČR každý tretí občan starší než 65 rokov. Skupina seniorov je charakteristická vysokou polymorbiditou a polyfarmakoterapiou. Práve preskripcia liečiv je u seniorov veľmi komplikovaná aj kvôli odlišnej reakcii na liečiva v dôsledku zmien prebiehajúcich behom starnutia (na úrovni farmakodynamiky a farmakokinetiky i homeostázy. No full textCílem této práce je odhalit klíčové faktory a výzvy spojené s řízením etnicky různorodého pojišťovacího zastoupení v oboru životního pojištění v Malajsii. Autor si klade za cíl zkoumat pohled vedoucích prodeje v Organizaci G v Malajsii na jejich způsob řízení agentů. Kombinované kvantitativní a kvalitativní metody budou použity prostřednictvím průzkumu a rozhovorů se 79 agenty a 12 vedoucími prodeje. Odpovědi budou analyzovány za účelem porozumění výzvám, kterým čelí vedoucí prodeje při řízení etnicky různorodého zastoupení, a zkoumat potenciální řešení. Autor navrhuje iniciativy a metody k posílení stylů vedení a zlepšení procesů pro udržení úspěšného zastoupení v kontextu etnické rozmanitosti.The goal of this thesis is to uncover the key factors and challenges in managing an ethnically diverse insurance agency in Malaysia's life insurance industry. The author aims to examine the sales managers' perspective in Organisation G, Malaysia, regarding their expression of managing their agents. Quantitative and qualitative methods will be employed through surveys and interviews among 79 agents and 12 sales managers. The responses will be analysed to understand the challenges sales managers face in managing a multi-ethnic agency and explore potential solutions. The author proposes initiatives and methods to enhance leadership styles and improve the processes for maintaining a successful agency in the context of multi-ethnicity
Genderová nerovnost v odměňování v Kazachstánu
No full textBakalářská práce sleduje problematiku genderové nerovnosti v odměňování se zaměřením na Kazachstán. Cílem práce je analýza genderové nerovnosti v odměňování zaměstnanců konkrétní společnosti X. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na důvody existence genderové nerovnosti ze sociologického a ekonomického hlediska. Pozornost je věnována genderové politice a historii vzniku genderové nerovnosti v Kazachstánu, jakož i rozdílům ve mzdách žen a mužů v Kazachstánu. V rámci vlastního výzkumu využila autorka kvantitativní metod. Výzkum sleduje vztah mezi pohlavím a mzdou ve firmě X. Název společnosti neuveden v práci z důvodu ochrany dat. Výsledná zjištění ukazují na nerovnost v odměňování žen a mužů ve společnosti X od roku 2015 do roku 2018. Výsledky slouží k formulaci doporučení, které by mohly přispět k redukci genderových nerovností ve mzdách ve firmě X.This bachelor thesis analyzes the problem of gender inequality in terms of wages in Kazakhstan. The thesis aims to study the problem of gender inequality and to reveal it on the example of wages of company X's employees. The theoretical basis of the thesis focused on reasons for the existence of gender inequality from sociological and economic points of view, gender policy and history of the formation of gender inequality in Kazakhstan, as well as on differences in female and male wages in Kazakhstan. The author used quantitative method for the research in the practical part. The research investigates the relationship between gender and wage in company X. In order to support data protection rules and desire of the company X to maintain privacy, the name of the organization was not revealed in the current thesis. Results showed the persistent existence of the gender pay inequalities in company X from 2015 to 2018. The findings of the current research serve to provide recommendations for the reduction of gender inequalities in terms of wages in company X
Vliv vnitřní organizační kultury na udržení zaměstnanců v dané společnosti
No full textThis thesis explores the concept, values, and types of internal organizational culture and how they affect employee retention. It analyzes how the global IT company IBM has structured its internal organizational culture, which it uses to retain and develop its employees. The author primarily focused on the structure of the IBM company as well as its six principles of culture in the organization. The analysis was carried out through a survey. As for the participants, the author randomly selected 50 IBM employees in Prague, during which the following points were noted: Although a significant proportion of IBM's workforce expresses contentment with the company's organizational culture and its approach to employee development and career advancement, there remain individuals who believe that the level of organizational culture could be enhanced. For this purpose, ways to improve their methods of maintaining organizational culture are considered. The author suggested possible solutions in favor of increasing the value of organizational culture for employees.Tato práce zkoumá koncept, hodnoty a typy vnitřní organizační kultury a jejich vliv na udržení zaměstnanců. Analyzuje, jak globální IT společnost IBM strukturovala svou vnitřní organizační kulturu, kterou využívá k udržení a rozvoji svých zaměstnanců. Autor se zaměřil především na strukturu společnosti IBM a také na šest principů kultury v organizaci. Analýza byla provedena prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření. Co se týče účastníků, author náhodně vybral 50 zaměstnanců IBM v Praze, během nichž byly zaznamenány následující závěry: Přestože značná část zaměstnanců IBM vyjadřuje spokojenost s organizační kulturou společnosti a jejím přístupem k rozvoji a kariérnímu postupu zaměstnanců, zůstávají jedinci, kteří se domnívají, že úroveň organizační kultury by bylo možné zlepšit. Za tímto účelem jsou zvažovány způsoby, jak zlepšit jejich metody udržování organizační kultury. Autor navrhl možná řešení ve prospěch zvýšení hodnoty organizační kultury pro zaměstnance
Daniela Fischerová and her radio plays
No full textTato bakalářská práce si klade za cíl analyticky a kriticky přistoupit k rozhlasovým hrám české autorky a dramatičky Daniely Fischerové. Zkoumá její tvorbu od roku 1989 do současnosti, což zahrnuje osm rozhlasových her, tři minidramata, jednu rozhlasovou pohádku a deset minutových her. Dále se zabývám pojmem "rozhlasová hra" a jejími specifiky. Pracuji v českém, potažmo československém kontextu.
Jako teoretický podklad pro tuto práci mi posloužily zejména tyto publikace: Od mikrofonu k posluchačům a 99 významných uměleckých osobností rozhlasu Evy Ješutové a sborník Svět rozhlasu. Dále jsem využila teoretické texty a přednášky Jana Czecha, Přemysla Ruta, Václava Růta, Jana Vedrala a mnohých dalších. Teoretický základ využívám k analýze rozhlasových her Daniely Fischerové a režijních přístupů Hany Kofránkové, Josefa Červinky a Aleše Vrzáka. Vycházím jak z četby scénářů, tak především z poslechu jednotlivých rozhlasových her. Dalšími zdroji byly rozhovory s tvůrci rozhlasových her, které jsou v příloze této práce.
Hlavním přínosem této práce má být ucelený pohled na rozhlasové hry Daniely Fischerové. V analyzovaných hrách se zabývám jednotlivými tématy, jejich vývojem, příběhy a jejich fabulací. Sledovala jsem také kompoziční prvky a postupy, které jsem se pokusila co nejjasněji shrnout a definovat.The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to analytically and critically investigate the radio plays of the Czech author and playwright Daniela Fischerová. Starnutie je špecifické významnými involučnými zmenami a často komplikované vysokou polymorbiditou a polyfarmakoterapiou. V rámci liečby je preto potrebné eliminovať negatívne dopady možných liekových i neliekových rizikových faktorov a zabezpečiť racionálne užívanie liečiv. It explores her work from 1989 to the present which comprises eight radio plays, three micro radio plays, one radio fairy tale and ten one minute long plays. It also deals with the term "radio play" and its specifics. I work in the Czech, respectively the Czechoslovakian context.

No full textThis thesis is devoted to the recent trends in building relationships with customers based on forming their loyalty in the restaurant industry. In the work the recent trends and technologies in marketing of restaurant business were defined and the importance of brand in the total process of business development for stimulating growth of sales was emphasized. Based on the conducted survey, the author states out which of the components of total consumer benefit is the most significant in building a brand loyalty in the restaurant industry in Prague. The thesis provides strategies of customer relationship management based on given results.Tato práce je věnována současným trendům v budování vztahů se zákazníky na základě utváření jejich loajality v restauračním průmyslu. V práci byly definovány současné trendy a technologie v oblasti marketingu restauračních služeb a byl zdůrazněn význam značky v celkovém procesu rozvoje podnikání pro stimulaci růstu tržeb. Na základě provedeného průzkumu autor uvádí, které ze složek celkového prospěchu pro spotřebitele jsou nejvýznamnější při budování věrnosti značce v restauračním průmyslu v Praze. Diplomová práce poskytuje strategie řízení vztahů se zákazníky na základě daných výsledků
