A DEMOCRACIA NO PRAGMATISMO DE JOHN DEWEY
O objetivo deste trabalho é estudar a democracia no pensamento do
contextualismo sugerem.
Richard Rorty, Richard Bernstein, Robert Westbrook e Alfonso Damico sugere
imperativos de sua época, deixa grande contribuição para a teoria contemporânea;
sejam concretizados. This dissertation aims to study the thought of the American pragmatist
John Dewey (1859-1952) on democracy and its contribution to the contemporary
political theory. At first, the political thought of the author is analyzed, and the
anti-foundationalism’s and contextualism’s repercussions are highlighted. The
tension between Dewey’s thoughts and the ideas of Richard Rorty, Richard
Bernstein, Robert Westbrook and Alfonso Damico suggest that, if in the one hand
Dewey’s vocabulary is a victim of his own time, it brings a great contribution to
contemporary theory. This contribution is expressed though the idea that
democracy is the political model that allows the creation of forms of life and their
permanent recreation, from the clash between theory and practice, aiming at the
designing of trajectories that will give life to the desires and aspirations of society
Nesse sentido, a primeira parte
do trabalho traz uma
biografia do autor para assim situar o leitor no contexto
em que sua teoria foi
elaborada.
do Direito. A terceira parte do trabalho visa diferenciar,
através da aplicação dos
conceitos fundamentais do Direito, direitos in rem e
direitos in personam, termos
que sempre geraram confusão para os juristas. O quarto
capítulo, por sua vez,
trará críticas que alguns autores fizeram à teoria do
autor. A conclusão tentará
Hohfeld dando
fechamento ao trabalho. The present work has as its main purpose to analyze and
expose Wesley`s
Newcomb Hohfeld theory, so the methodology used is purely
authorial. Thus, the
first part of the research brings the author`s biography
in order to situate the
reader in the theory`s elaboration context. The second
chapter is about Hohfeld`s
fundamental legal conceptions, his main contribution to
the general law theory.
The third part seeks to distinguish, applying the
fundamental legal conceptions
presented afore, the concepts of right in rem and right in
personam, phrases that
have always been confusing to jurists. Moreover, the
fourth chapter will bring
some critics made by important authors to Hohfeld`s
theory. Furthermore, in the
conclusion there will be made an attempt to expose the
positive and negative
topics in Hohfeld`s theory as a closure to the research
A protocol for the in vitro propagation and polyploidization of an interspecific hybrid of Glandularia (G. peruviana×G. scrobiculata)
The genus Glandularia (Verbenaceae) has more than 50 species and it holds great ornamental potential due to its colorful flowers, long flowering period and low water requirements. Since the floriculture market avidly seeks novelties, increasing the diversity within the genus would increase its commercial value. Some of the traits that should be improved in these species are their architecture and the size and colors of the flowers and leaves. In this sense, obtaining polyploid individuals is an interesting strategy to achieve this objective. In this paper a hybrid of Glandularia peruviana×Glandularia scrobiculata was cultured under in vitro conditions. Different plant growth regulators and their combinations were tested to obtain appropriate multiplication rates. The best results were obtained with the combination of 6.6μM thidiazuron/0.03μM α-naphthalenacetic acid, with a multiplication rate of 19 shoots per explant. The plantlets were first rooted and then acclimatized by transferal to an 8.0cm diameter pot containing Growing mix®, and maintenance inside a humidity chamber. For poliploydization, the explants were exposed to colchicine in concentrations of 0.001% and 0.01% for 24 and 48h. The 40 recovered plants were characterized according to their DNA content. There were 21 diploids, 14 solid tetraploids, 1 solid octoploid, 3 chimera tetraploids and 1 chimera octoploid. Phenotypically, the size of the flowers, inflorescences, pollen grains and stomata were significantly larger in polyploid individuals. Surprisingly, stem diameter, leaf size and color intensity of the leaves and flowers were not significantly different between diploid and tetraploid individuals. Due to the size of the inflorescences, the tetraploid individuals are a promising starting material for a Glandularia breeding program.Fil: González Roca, Lucía.
