Musa al-İzniki's method in his tafsir called Anfas al-Jawa?hir
Get PDFOsmanlı Devleti, edebiyatta, tarihte, bilimde, sanatta olduğu gibi dinî ilimler sahasında da geride büyük bir kültür mirası bırakmıştır. Bu kültürel miras çok ciddi çalışma ve araştırma gerektirecek ölçüde zengin bir birikime sahiptir. Osmanlı'nın zengin kültür mirası içerisinde te'lif, tercüme, hâşiye, şerh ve ta'lîkât çalışmaları ile tefsir faaliyetleri önemli boyutta yerini almaktadır. Osmanlı'nın ilk dönemlerinde tefsir çalışmalarının temellerini oluşturan te'lif ve tercüme pek çok eserin kaleme alınması söz konusudur. Tez çalışmasında, Enfesü'l-cevâhir adlı eserin tefsir yöntemi açısından incelenmesi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu eser Osmanlı Devleti'nin ilk dönemlerinde Eski Anadolu Türkçesi ile kaleme alınmıştır. Kütüphanelerde eserin pek çok nüshası ve varyantları bulunmaktadır. Eserin müellifi ve muhtevası hakkında çeşitli varsayımda bulunulmuş, birbirinden farklı düşünceler ortaya konulmuştur. Eser Ebü'l-Leys es-Semerkandî'nin (ö. 373/983) tefsir eserinin tercümesi olarak Ahmed-i Dâî (ö. 820/1421), Mûsâ İznikî (ö.850/1446) ve İbn Arabşâh'a (ö. 854/1450) atfedilmiş; bunun yanında Mûsâ İznikî'ye ait Hâzin el-Bağdâdî'nin (ö. 741/1341) Lübâbü't-te'vîl fî ma?âni't-tenzîl eserinin tercümesi olduğu da öne sürülmüştür. Araştırmada Yazma Eser Kütüphanelerinde bulunan nüshalara ulaşılarak ilk önce Enfesü'l-cevâhir'in müellifi hakkında araştırma ve tetkikler yapılmıştır. Bunun sonucunda eserin müellifinin Mûsâ İznikî olduğunu ortaya koyan çalışmalar tespit edilmiştir. Sonrasında muhtevası ve metodu üzerinde incelemeler yapılarak eserin te'lif mi yoksa farklı bir eserin tercümesi mi olduğu konusu belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu değerlendirmeler sonrasında da Enfesü'l-cevâhir'in Ebü'l-Leys es-Semerkandî'nin tefsirini temel kaynak alarak oluşturulmuş te'lif bir eser olduğu müşahede edilmiştir. Bu açıdan eser oluşturulurken istifade edilen kaynakların, eserin tefsir ilminde meydana getirdiği tesirlerin, eserde yer alan Kur'ân ilimleri bilgilerinin ve eserin rivâyet ve dirâyet açısından tefsir metodunun incelenmesi yapılmıştır. Çalışmada, Yazma Eser Kütüphanelerinden, yazmalar.gov. waqfeya.gov. internet adreslerinden ve Şâmile programından kaynak tespiti yapılmıştır. İSAM ve Yöktez internet tarayıcılarından tez ve makale temini sağlanarak gereken dökümanlar elde edilmiştir.The Ottoman Empire left behind a significant cultural legacy with its work in the fields of science, history, literature, art and religious sciences. This cultural heritage has a rich accumulation that requires serious study and research. Within the rich cultural accumulation, ta'lif, translation, annotation and commentary studies and tafsir activities are also important. In the early period of the Ottoman Empire, the writing of ta'lif and translation Works, which formed the basis of tafsir studies, was mentioned. In our thesis study, the work called Anfas al-Jawa?hir which was written in Old Anatolian Turkish in the first period of the Ottoman Empire, was examined in terms of the tasfir method. Various assumptions have been made about the author and content of the work, which has many copies and variants in our libraries, and different ideas have been put forward. The work, called the Translation of the Tafsi?r of Abu? al-Layth Samarqandi?, was attributed to Ahmad-i Dai (d. 820/1421), Musa al-Izniki (d.850/1446), and Ibn Arabshah (d. 854/1450); In addition, it has been suggested that it is a translation of Kha?zin al-Baghda?di? Luba?b al-ta?wi?l fi? ma?a?ni? al-tanzi?l by M. Izniki. In our research, the copies found in the manuscript libraries were determined. First of all, research and examinations were made about the author of Anfas al-Jawa?hir and it was determined by studies that the author of the work was Musa al-Iznikî. Then, the content and method of the work were examined and it was tried to determine whether it was ta'lif or a translation of a different work. As a result, it was observed that Anfas al-Jawa?hir was a work of ta'lif based on the Tafsir of Abu? al-Layth al-Samarqandi?, In this respect, the sources used while creating the work, the effects of the work on the science of tafsir, the Qur'anic sciences in the work and the tafsir method of the work in terms of narration and wisdom were examined. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
