Sabahattin Ali's nature in the stories and novels
Toplumcu gerçekçi bir yazar olan Sabahattin Ali eserlerinde toplumun o dönemdeki sosyal ve kültürel yapısını yansıtmıştır. Sabahattin Ali dönemin insanını ve yaşam tarzını anlatmak için eserlerinde sıklıkla tabiat unsurlarını kullanmıştır. Sabahattin Ali'nin eserlerinde tabiat unsurlarının farklılık gösterdiği, hikâye ve romanlarında karakterlerin yapısı da birbirinden farklı olmuştur. Sabahattin Ali eserlerinde edebi dil kullanıma çok önem vermiştir. Edebi dili kullanımdaki başarısından dolayı günümüzde de eserleri toplumun tüm kesimine hitap etmektedir. Sabahattin Ali'nin edebi dilini en fazla geliştiren temel sebep tabiat unsurları olmuştur. Yazarın olay ve karakterleri tasvir etme gücünü arttırmıştır. Bu çalışmanın ilk bölümünde Sabahattin Ali'nin hayatı, edebî kişiliği ve eserleri hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde ise Sabahattin Ali'nin roman ve hikâyelerinin olay örgüsü ve karakterleri hakkında açıklamalar yapılmıştır. Son bölümde ise hikâye ve romanlarda geçen tabiat unsurları belirtilmiş, hikâye ve romanlarda geçen tabiat unsurları başlıklar altında toplanarak eserlerden örnekler verilmiştir. In the first part of this study, information about Sabahattin Ali's life, literary personality and works are given. In the second part, the plot and characters of Sabahattin Ali's novels and stories are explained. In the last section, the elements of nature mentioned in the stories and novels are stated, Natural elements in stories and novels are collected under titles and examples are given. Analysis of the Kitāb Al-Hudūd section of ‘Ali Al-Qārī Alharawī’s Fath Bāb Al-‘Ināye
İslam Hukuk ilmi kişinin doğumundan ölümüne kadar karşılaştığı tüm sorunların dinî hükmünü ele almasından Müslüman bir birey tarafından son derece büyük bir önemi haizdir. Bu hükümler İslam Hukuk âlimleri tarafından belirlendiği için fıkıhla ilgili eserleri olan kimselerin eserlerinin incelenmesi ve fıkıh sahasındaki katkılarının belirlenmesi kaçınılmaz bir zorunluluktur. İşte bu çalışmada biz Ali el-Kârî’nin Hanefî fıkhına katkılarını tespit edebilmek için müellifin Fethu bâbi’l-inâye adlı eserinin hadler bölümünü inceledik. Tezin birinci bölümünde Ali el-Kârî’nin hayatı ve ilmî kişiliği hakkında kaynaklarda aktarılan bilgiler tespit edilmesinin yanında Ali el-Kârî’nin ait olduğu entelektüel çevre tanıtılmaya çalışılmıştır. İkinci bölümde Fethu bâbi’l-inâye’nin hadler bölümündeki şerh metodu incelenmiştir. Bu bölümde Ali el-Kârî’nin konuyu ele alış şekli, dil açısından metne yaptığı katkılar, fıkıh açısından metne yaptığı katkılar belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde ise Fethu bâbi’l-inâye’nin bölümü muhteva açısından incelenmeye tabi tutulmuştur. Bu bölümde hadler bölümünde yer alan konular özetlenmiş, metne fıkıh ve hadis açısından yaptığı katkılar tespit edilmeye çalışılmış müellifin bu bölümde faydalandığı kaynaklarla ilişkisi ve kendine has görüşleri tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır.The science of Islamic Law has a great importance for a Muslim individual, since it deals with the religious ruling of all the problems that a person encounters from birth to death. Since these provisions are determined by Islamic Law scholars, it is an inevitable necessity to examine the works of people who have works related to fiqh and to determine their contributions in the field of fiqh. In this study, we examined the hadd section of the author's work Fethu bâbi'l-inâye in order to determine Ali al-Kari's contributions to Hanafi fiqh. In the first part of the thesis, besides determining the information about Ali al-Qari's life and scientific personality in the sources, it has been tried to introduce the intellectual environment of Ali al-Qari. In the second part, the annotation method in the hadd section of the work Fethu bâbi'l-inâye has been examined. In this section, the way Ali al-Qari handled the subject, his contributions to the text in terms of language, and his contributions to the text in terms of fiqh were tried to be determined. In the third part, the hadds section of the work called Fethu bâbi'l-inâye has been examined in terms of content. In this section, the subjects in the hadds section were summarized, his contributions to the text in terms of fiqh and hadith were tried to be determined, and the relationship of the author with the sources he used in this section and his own views were tried to be determined
Research project work plan for bridge deck asphalt concrete pavement armoring
Deterioration of the concrete bridge deck is one of the most significant problems affecting the service life of bridges in the United States. Moisture penetration into the asphalt overlay and standing water on the concrete bridge deck result in expansion and contraction at the interface on the bridge deck during freeze-thaw cycles. This causes debonding at the interface and results in an increased rate of deterioration for the asphalt concrete overlay. Additionally, the deicing salts permeate into the deck and cause corrosion of the steel reinforcement, weakening the structural integrity of the bridge. Waterproofing membranes with an asphalt overlay were developed as a strategy to protect concrete bridge decks. The main goals of this study were to provide the industry and Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) with better insight on the failure mechanisms of asphalt overlays on concrete bridge decks and establish field and laboratory experiments to evaluate the performance of these overlays. The most effective deck waterproofing systems and overlay strategies (in terms of both cost and performance) were determined for concrete bridge decks in Oregon. Blind Image Quality Metric for Color Images Based on Human Vision System and Deep CNN
This article introduces a novel blind image quality metric (BIQM) for color images which is designed taking into account human visual system characteristics. The BIQM has a four-stage framework: RGB to YUV transformation, denoising with convolutional neural network , quality evaluation, and weighting to make it compatible with the human visual system. Experimental results, including Spearman's rank-order correlation coefficient, confirm BIQM's effectiveness, particularly in scenarios involving white noise and its compatibility with the human visual system. Furthermore, a survey involving 100 participants ranks images based on three distinct qualities, validating the method's alignment with the human visual system. The comparative analysis reveals that the proposed BIQM can compete with commonly used non-referenced quality measures and is more accurate than some of them. Finding the Hierarchy of Dense Subgraphs using Nucleus Decompositions
Finding dense substructures in a graph is a fundamental graph mining operation, with applications in bioinformatics, social networks, and visualization to name a few. Yet most standard formulations of this problem (like clique, quasi-clique, k-densest subgraph) are NP-hard. Furthermore, the goal is rarely to find the “true optimum”, but to identify many (if not all) dense substructures, understand their dis-tribution in the graph, and ideally determine relationships among them. Current dense subgraph finding algorithms usually optimize some objective, and only find a few such subgraphs without providing any structural relations. We define the nucleus decomposition of a graph, which represents the graph as a forest of nuclei. Each nucleus is a subgraph where smaller cliques are present in many larger cliques. The forest of nuclei is a hierarchy by containment, where the edge density increases as we proceed towards leaf nuclei. Sibling nuclei can have limited intersections, which enables discovering overlapping dense subgraphs. With the right parameters, the nucleus decomposition generalizes the classic notions of k-cores and k-truss decompositions. We give provably efficient algorithms for nucleus decom-positions, and empirically evaluate their behavior in a va-riety of real graphs. The tree of nuclei consistently gives a global, hierarchical snapshot of dense substructures, and outputs dense subgraphs of higher quality than other state-of-the-art solutions. Habibü's Siyer adlı eserin Selçuklular ile ilgili kısmının çeviri ve değerlendirilmesi
Hândmîr tarafından 927 yılında (M. 1520/1521) yazılmaya başlayan ve umumi bir dünya tarihi olarak kabul gören Habîbü’s Siyer adlı eseri Selçuklu Tarihi bakımından oldukça önemli bir kaynaktır. Müellifin üç ciltten oluşan eserinin ikinci cildinde “Selçuklular” başlığı altında verdiği bilgiler doğrultusunda Selçuklu Devleti hakkında siyasi, sosyal, askeri ve kültürel yapısı hakkında önemli bilgilere ulaşılmaktadır.Eserde Selçukluların kökeninden başlayarak, Türkiye Selçukluları‟nın yıkılışına kadar vuku bulan olaylar tüm siyasi olaylar anlatılmış, Büyük Selçuklu Devleti‟nin yanı sıra diğer bölgelerde kurulan Selçuklu Devletleri‟ne de yer verilmiştir. Eserin “Selçuklular” başlığı Anadolu Selçukluları‟nın İlhanlılar tarafından yıkılması ile sona ermektedir. Selçuklu tarihi açısından oldukça önemli olan eserin yazarı Hândmîr, Reşîdü‟d-din Fazlullah‟ın methodundan etkilenerek, kronolojik sıraya önem vermekten çok, devletlere önem vermiştir. Kendisi Reşîdü‟d-din Fazlullah‟ın methodundan etkilenirken, eseri arkasından gelen Safevi tarihçilerini etkilemiştir. Bu Fars tarih yazıcılığı açısından oldukça büyük bir önem içermektedir.Dedesi Mîrhând‟ın Ravzâtü’s Safâ eserinden alıntılar yapmış, ancak kendi eserinde daha farklı bir şekilde yorumlayarak, dedesinin yer vermediği bazı hanedanlıklara yer vermiştir. Bazı gördüğü olayları anlatmasından dolayı Eserde ayrıca dönemin siyasi olaylarının yanı sıra, önemli devlet adamları ve vezirlerin biyografileriyle, dönemin ünlü şairleri ve onların şiirlerine de yer vermiştir. Oldukça süslü bir dilde yazılmış edebi önemi olan bir eserdir. Anlatımı canlıdır. Günümüz tarihçilerinin başvurduğu kaynaklardan birisi olan Habîbü’s Siyer, Türkiye‟de de çeşitli tarihçiler tarafından kullanılmıştır. M. Altay Köymen, Erdoğan Merçil, Ali Sevim gibi tarihçiler Habîbü’s Siyer‟e başvurarak, onu kaynak olarak kullanmışlardır.AbstractHabîbu’s Siyer, which is written by Hândmîr starting from the year 927 is regarded as a common history of the world and it is a very important source for the Seljukian history. In the second volume of the author‟s three volume piece, the “Seljukians” headline consists of important information about the structure of Seljuq Empire on matters like political, social, military and cultural. In the work, all the political events are explained from the establishment to the destruction and informations included from both the Great Seljuq Empire to the other Seljukian empires founded on other regions. The “Selqukians” headline of the pieceends with the demolition of the Anatolian Selquk empire by Ilkhanids. Hândmîr, the author of the piece which is very important for the Seljukian history, was influenced by Reşîdü‟d-din Fazlullah method and paid more attention to empires rather than chronological order. While he was being influenced by Reşîdü‟d-dinFazlullah‟s method, his piece also influenced the Safavid historians. This case has a very big importance on the Persian historiography. He quoted from his grandfather‟s work Ravzâtü’s Safâ‟, yet he interpreted his piece different and included information about some of the houses his grandfather never emphasised. Along with the political events, he also included the biographies of important politicians and poems of noted poets of theera. The work is written with such an ornamental language and hasthe utmost literal importance. Habîbü’s Siyer, which is still referred to by today‟s historians, is also used bys everal historians in Turkey. Historians such as M. Altay Köymen, Erdoğan Merçil and Ali Sevim used Habîbü‟s Siyer as a source for their work
Flame-retardant treatment of wool and wool-rich blends: A study of bath composition
WOS: 000538589300001Wool and wool-polyamide blended yarns (88.6% wool-11.4% polyamide 6,6 and 78.5% wool-21.5% polyamide 6,6) were knitted and the produced fabrics were treated by exhaustion method with zirconium complexes. Six different baths containing potassium hexafluorozirconate and zirconium acetate were studied. the flammability hazard was evaluated considering parameters such as the spread of flame, the heat release and the smoke release rate. Regardless of the blend composition, the untreated fabrics could not pass the vertical flammability test. 100% wool fabric could pass the vertical flammability test when treated with only 1% potassium hexafluorozirconate and 10% zirconium acetate solution.
