Creating and Sustaining Change: Assessment of Student Learning Outcomes
Change is a constant condition within organizations, due to the introduction of new technologies, market place demands, external forces, and pressures to improve organizational effectiveness. However, large-scale organizational change efforts tend to fail more than 70 percent of the time. One of the recent large-scale movements within higher education institutions is towards accountability and assessment on student learning outcomes, which is higher education institutions should assess whether students learn what they should and retain the knowledge once learned. In addition, assessment findings should become a feedback mechanism to improve students’ education experiences. In this paper the author describe a change effort within a research university for compliance with regional accrediting commission requirements and program specific (engineering) accreditation requirements and procedures in defining and implementing assessment of student learning outcomes. The main issue is not just introducing new contents to the member of the faculty, but making sure that the assessment effort is meaningful. Issues arrived and solutions in creating and sustaining the change effort will be discussed

Learning and Teaching as Communicative Actions: A Mixed-Methods Twitter Study
Our paper examines the design of a course that utilized the real-time information network Twitter to spark reflective thinking and communication based on classroom topics. A major goal was to increase discourse amongst students and enhance learning through encouraging student time on task. The innovation followed guidelines set forth in the Learning and Teaching as Communicative Actions theory to augment student learning experience via more active communication and increased content sharing among students, towards a goal of building a social learning community. In this mixed methods study, we found diverse student perceptions of the use of Twitter; both very positive views of the tool as a means of supporting discourse and those views of the tool having little benefit to student’s own learning. The female students in this study, perceived the tool to significantly more support the social learning community in the interactive environment than did male students

FIRM RESILIENCE RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT: A BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS WITH VOSVIEWER
This research examines the development of research on the topic of firm resilience which is currently very relevant to the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic using bibliometric analysis with the support of the VOSviewer application. This study aims to find out: (1) the development of research on firm resilience published in international journals listed on the Scopus database from 1991-2021; (2) publication of international journals on corporate resilience; and (3) a map of the development of international research publications in the field of keyword-based firm resilience. Data collection was carried out through a search through the Scopus website with the keyword "firm resilience", with the categories of article titles, abstracts, keywords for the period 1991-2021. Analysis and visualization of database is carried out using the VOSviewer application. As a result, the citation analysis found 17,028 citations from 1991 to 2021. Ivanov, D. is the most productive researcher of the ten publications. A term author keyword trend analysis found that 3,289 author keywords were used in selected articles containing at least 10 events, yielding 38 author keywords with strong relevance. The term "Covid-19" is the term most used by writers with a total of 87 channels of connections. The country that publishes the most articles on corporate woes is the United States, with 303 articles

Rule-based deduplication of article records from bibliographic databases
We recently designed and deployed a metasearch engine, Metta, that sends queries and retrieves search results from five leading biomedical databases: PubMed, EMBASE, CINAHL, PsycINFO and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials. Because many articles are indexed in more than one of these databases, it is desirable to deduplicate the retrieved article records. This is not a trivial problem because data fields contain a lot of missing and erroneous entries, and because certain types of information are recorded differently (and inconsistently) in the different databases. The present report describes our rule-based method for deduplicating article records across databases and includes an open-source script module that can be deployed freely. Metta was designed to satisfy the particular needs of people who are writing systematic reviews in evidence-based medicine. These users want the highest possible recall in retrieval, so it is important to err on the side of not deduplicating any records that refer to distinct articles, and it is important to perform deduplication online in real time. Our deduplication module is designed with these constraints in mind. Articles that share the same publication year are compared sequentially on parameters including PubMed ID number, digital object identifier, journal name, article title and author list, using text approximation techniques. In a review of Metta searches carried out by public users, we found that the deduplication module was more effective at identifying duplicates than EndNote without making any erroneous assignments
How can we understand the fact that the peace movement in Canada is not actively supported by all sectors of the population and why isn't the issue of disarmament a political priority? The author suggests that the complexity of the problems posed by the arms race and the lack of clear guidelines for discussion and viable ideological alternatives are important factors.
