Penguatan Karakter Generasi Muda melalui Wisata Sejara: Studi Kasus Walking Tour di Kota Cirebon
Get PDFAbstract: Considering the crucial role of the youth as the future leaders of the nation, strengthening their character is essential in the national development process. This study aims to explore the contribution of walking tour activities to character building among the youth in Cirebon. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with walking tour activities to examine its impact on strengthening the character of the youth. Data were collected through participatory observation and in-depth interviews with 98 students from the Islamic Tourism Department at UIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. An evaluation was conducted to assess the effectiveness of the learning process and its contribution to character development and tourism development. The results of the study indicate that walking tours provide a deep understanding of local history and culture, fostering a sense of love and appreciation for them. This activity is also economically affordable, making it an inclusive tourism alternative for young people with limited budgets. Additionally, walking tours support sustainable tourism, strengthen the local economy, and reduce environmental impacts by using eco-friendly transportation. Based on these findings, walking tours can serve as an educational, sustainable, and responsible tourism model that benefits the character development of the youth.Abstrak: Mengingat peran penting generasi muda sebagai pemimpin masa depan bangsa, penguatan karakter mereka menjadi hal yang krusial dalam proses pembangunan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kontribusi kegiatan walking tour dalam penguatan karakter generasi muda di Kota Cirebon. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode kegiatan walking tour untuk mengkaji dampaknya terhadap penguatan karakter generasi muda, data diperoleh melalui observasi partisipatif dan wawancara mendalam dengan 84 mahasiswa jurusan Pariwisata Syariah UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk mengetahui hasil efektivitas kegiatan dan kontribusinya terhadap penguatan karakter generasi muda dan pengembangan pariwisata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa walking tour memberikan pemahaman mendalam mengenai sejarah dan budaya lokal, serta menciptakan kecintaan terhadap keduanya. Kegiatan ini juga terjangkau secara ekonomi, menjadikannya alternatif wisata inklusif bagi kalangan muda dengan anggaran terbatas. Selain itu, walking tour mendukung pariwisata berkelanjutan, memperkuat perekonomian lokal, dan mengurangi dampak lingkungan dengan menggunakan transportasi ramah lingkungan. Berdasarkan temuan ini, walking tour dapat menjadi model pariwisata edukatif, berkelanjutan, dan bertanggung jawab, memberikan manfaat bagi karakter generasi muda
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. No full textThe COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the global tourism industry, including in Indonesia. This research explores the role of human resources (HR) in managing the Cikadongdong River Tubing tourist destination in the post-pandemic period. Located at the foot of Mount Ciremai in Majalengka Regency, West Java, this destination faces a range of challenges and opportunities in maintaining employee welfare, sustaining productivity, and ensuring operational continuity. Using a qualitative approach, this research includes field observations and in-depth interviews with the head of the Cikadongdong River Tubing management team. The findings reveal that both managers and local HR play a critical role in attracting tourists by enhancing facilities and implementing stringent health protocols. Notable improvements include the construction of two gazebos, the addition of six shower and changing rooms, the renovation of three restrooms, the expansion of parking areas, and the installation of two hand-washing stations. The primary challenge is revitalizing tourist interest and adapting to behavioral shifts that prioritize safety and cleanliness. Supporting factors include improved cleanliness and safety standards, effective environmental management, and innovations in the tourism experience

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
