To this end, the necessary one-loop relation between the lattice coupling g0g_0 and the coupling renormalized in the MSˉ\bar{{\rm MS}} scheme is calculated, using the lattice background field technique

    The present paper intends to confront a small number of fragments scattered under different headings in the edition of the fragments of the Hesiodic poem 'Catalogue of Women', although they deal with the same heroic figures, namely the seer Melampus and his progeny. Melampus was a key figure not only in shaping the mantic traditions of heroic Greece down to Hellenistic times, but more generally in playing a central role in the complex mythical, epic and historical mapping of the North-eastern Peloponnese and beyond. It is intended as a case-study which deals with the complex interactions between indirect and direct traditions, between poetic texts (Homer, Hesiod, lyric poetry) and their re-use for mythographic purposes, as well as among fluid concurrent ancient versions

    One-loop renormalization of fermionic currents with the overlap-Dirac operator

    We compute the one-loop lattice renormalization of the two-quark operators ψˉΓψ\bar{\psi} \Gamma \psi, where Γ\Gamma denotes the generic Dirac matrix, for the lattice formulation of QCD using the overlap-Dirac operator. We also study the renormalization of quark bilinears which are more extended and have better chiral properties. Finally, we present improved estimates of these renormalization constants, coming from cactus resummation and from mean field perturbation theory

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
