Local and global analytical reports on results of data mining
Title: Local and global analytical reports on results of data mining Author: Zdeněk Reischig Department: Department of Software Engineering Supervisor: doc. RNDr. Jan Rauch, CSc. Supervisor's e-mail address: [email protected] Abstract: Thesis focuses on automatized support of local analytical reports creation, utilization of these reports as data sources for global analytical questions and creation of global analytical reports. In the thesis are suggested methods for comparison of rules. These methods are suitable for solving global analytical questions and can also help with composing of local analytical reports. Thesis also describes different kinds of background knowledge. One of them can be used for elimination of uninteresting rules or for finding data matrices with unusual relations. Other is necessary for solving global analytical questions, when rules are created over data matrices describing the same properties with different measures etc. Another important part of the thesis lies on providing a XML structure template for saving outputs of global analysis. It is also possible to use this XML structure for automatized generation of global analytical reports. Last part of the thesis is based on case study which shows how to use the guidelines and methods suggested in previous chapters. Case study..
Flows from early Modernism into the Interior Streets of Venturi, Rauch and Scott Brown
In 1972 the famous diagram of the ‘Decorated Shed’ was introduced into the architectural discourse; it implied a definition of ‘architecture as shelter with decoration on it’ [1]. The diagram was part of urban research into the commercial environment of Las Vegas that was interpreted by the researchers – Robert Venturi, Denise Scott Brown and Steven Izenour – as ‘a new type of urban form’ that they meant ‘to understand’ in order ‘to begin to evolve techniques for its handling’. Yet the critique on this and other research and designs by Venturi, Rauch and Scott Brown focused essentially on questions of form and more specifically of the image of architecture.ArchitectureArchitectur

Wind and Airflow Angle Estimation Using an Adaptive Extended Rauch-Tung-Striebel Smoother
This paper proposes a new method that estimates the three-dimensional stochastic wind velocity for an aircraft equipped with a Pitot-static tube and airflow vanes. Since the performance of most state estimators, e.g., the extended Rauch-Tung-Striebel smoother, relies on the process and measurement noise covariance settings, the proposed method employs the expectation-maximization approach to estimate the noise covariance matrices to improve the estimation accuracy. Numerical simulations demonstrated that the proposed method can successfully estimate the noise covariance matrices, especially for the noise covariance of the wind velocity, using the measurement data and reconstruct the wind velocity offline. Additionally, the smoothed true airspeed, angle of attack, and angle of sideslip data are more accurate compared to the direct measurements. This feature is also beneficial for other applications such as the aerodynamic model identifications of aircraft.Control & Simulatio

Convenient Access to Various 1‐Cyclopropylcyclopropane Derivatives
1-Bromo-1-cyclopropylcyclopropane (1), which is easily accessible in two steps from methyl cyclopropanecarboxylate, does not form a stable Grignard reagent upon reaction with elemental magnesium, yet it readily undergoes bromine/lithium exchange without rearrangement upon treatment with tert-butyllithium in diethyl ether/pentane at -78 degrees C, and the resulting 1-lithio-l-cyclopropylcyclopropane can be trapped with various electrophiles to give the correspondingly 1-substituted bicyclopropyl derivatives 10 in yields ranging from 38 to over 90% (13 examples). The (1-cyclopropylcyclopropyl)boronate 10m, which is also obtained from the 1-lithio derivative, has been subjected to Suzuki cross couplings with a number of aryl halides to furnish 1-aryl-1,1'-bicyclopropyl compounds 11 (4 examples, 14-50% yield), predominantly without rearrangement. Further transformations of 1-cyclopropylcyclopropanecarbaldehyde (10e) have provided 2-(1-cyclopropylcyclopropyl)glycine (16), ethyl 3(1-cyclopropylcyclopropyl)acrylate (17), and its cycloadducts with the nitrone 18 and cyclopentadiene 19, albeit the latter only in poor yield
