Replication Data for: Northern Sangtam phonetics, phonology and word list (Dataset AC4-20110704_NSA2)
This dataset (AC4-20110704_NSA2) presents transcribed word lists in Northern Sangtam (ISO 639-3: nsa), an Aoic language of central Nagaland, Northeast India. It constitutes part of the replication data for Coupe, Alexander R. (2020) Northern Sangtam phonetics, phonology and word list, Linguistics of the Tibeto-Burman Area 43:1, pp. 148–189
Replication Data for: Northern Sangtam phonetics, phonology and word list (Dataset AC4-20130711_NSA3)
This dataset (AC4-20130711_NSA3) contains two MP4 videos and accompanying transcribed word lists in .xlsx and pdf. The language is Northern Sangtam (ISO 639-3: nsa), an Aoic language of central Nagaland, Northeast India. The dataset forms part of the suite of replication data for Coupe, Alexander R. (2020) Sangtam phonetics, phonology and word list, Linguistics of the Tibet-Burman Area 43.1, pp. 14–189

Replication data for: Northern Sangtam phonetics, phonology and word list (Dataset AC4-20110704_NSA1)
This dataset (AC4-20110704_NSA1) contains transcribed word lists and accompanying sound files in Northern Sangtam (ISO 639–3: nsa), an Aoic language spoken in central Nagaland, Northeast India. The word list is based on the elicited data of a 66-year-old native speaker and constitutes the replication data for Coupe, Alexander R. (2020) Northern Sangtam phonetics, phonology and word list, Linguistics of the Tibeto-Burman Area 43:1, pp. 148–189. This paper presents a comprehensive phonetic and phonological description of this hitherto undocumented language. Special attention is given to two of the world’s rarest phonemes discovered in the consonant phoneme inventory: a pre-stopped bilabial trill, and a doubly-articulated labial-coronal nasal. The paper presents a systematic description of the syllable and word structure, the tone system, and the segmental phonology, concluding with a discussion of some observed age-related differences in the phoneme inventory

Alexander r-tuples and Bier complexes
We introduce and study Alexander r-tuples K = Kiir
i=1 of
simplicial complexes, as a common generalization of pairs of Alexander dual
complexes (Alexander 2-tuples) and r-unavoidable complexes of [BFZ-1].
In the same vein, the Bier complexes, defined as the deleted joins K delta
of
Alexander r-tuples, include both standard Bier spheres and optimal multiple
chessboard complexes (Section 2.2) as interesting, special cases.
Our main results are Theorem 4.3 saying that (1) the r-fold deleted join
of Alexander r-tuple is a pure complex homotopy equivalent to a wedge of
spheres, and (2) the r-fold deleted join of a collective unavoidable r-tuple
is (n - r - 1)-connected, and a classification theorem (Theorem 5.1 and
Corollary 5.2) for Alexander r-tuples and Bier complexes
