No full textIl commento all'Etica Nicomachea di Alberto Magno rappresenta uno dei luoghi di discussione del tema delle passioni, finora poco esplorato. Nelle questioni che accompagnano il commento Alberto mette a fuoco alcuni problemi chiave, quali la definizione di passione, il rapporto passioni-virtù, la centralità di piacere e dolore. Tutte queste questioni saranno riprese e sviluppate da Tommaso d'Aquino nel suo commento all'Etica Nicomachea, e poi nel trattato delle passioni contenuto nella Summa theologiae
Changing the Flow: The European Response to the Russian Weaponization of Gas
No full textThis Insight offers an overview of the EU's evolving energy policy in the face of the energy crisis which followed the Russian illegal invasion of Ukraine, highlighting the critical interplay between legal measures, market dynamics, and geopolitical strategy. In the first section, the Insight will examine the history of the EU policy on gas and its inherent risks, presenting the supply shock which occurred after the invasion February 2022. In the second section, the Insight details the legislative measures adopted under RepowerEU in the field of gas, describing the various approaches such as reducing consumption, ensuring storage, and fostering interstate solidarity, highlighting how the political debates between member states have contributed to shape the Regulations on the matter. In the third section, the Insight also explores the complex dynamics of market interventions, particularly the debated Market Correction Mechanism (MCM) and its implications for EU energy markets. In the final section, the Insight examines the impact of these measures, noting the mixed outcomes highlighted in the EU commissioned reports and presenting the criticism of other stakeholders, highlighting the legal challenges in implementing coordinated energy policies among Member States with diverse interests. Moreover, reflecting on the post-crisis landscape, the Insight advocates for a transition from emergency measures to strategic foresight in energy policy. It argues for the EU's need to balance national autonomy with collective energy security, suggesting a shift towards more integrated energy policies also in light of preserving the EU’s strategic autonomy in response to emerging geopolitical challenges

El Estado en la filosofía jurídica de Giorgio del Vecchio
No full textThis paper focuses on a study of the works of Giorgio del Vecchio and his contributions to the philosophy of law. In this sense, the author analyzes del Vecchio's trilogy: i) the philosophical presuppositions of the concept of law; ii) the concept of law and iii) the concept of the nature and principle of law. The author contextualizes the period in which del Vecchio develops his works in order to situate his analysis: after the First World War. Likewise, the article also contemplates the conceptions that del Vecchio developed on ethics and its influence on the conception of the State, law and the theory of the State. Finally, the author reflects on the validity of del Vecchio's thoughts today and expresses his position on the relevance of his thought for further analysis in the philosophy of law.El presente trabajo se centra en un estudio de las obras realizadas por Giorgio del Vecchio y sus aportes a la filosofía del derecho. En ese sentido, el autor analiza la trilogía de del Vecchio: i) los presupuestos filosóficos del concepto del derecho; ii) el concepto del derecho y iii) el concepto de la naturaleza y el principio del Derecho. El autor contextualiza el período en el que del Vecchio desarrolla sus obras para situar su análisis: posterior a la primera guerra mundial. Asimismo, también, el artículo contempla las concepciones que del Vecchio desarrolló sobre la ética y su influencia en la concepción del Estado, el derecho y la teoría del Estado. Finalmente, el autor reflexiona sobre la validez de los pensamientos de del Vecchio en la actualidad y expresa su posición sobre la relevancia de su pensamiento para análisis posteriores en la filosofía del derecho
