Utjecaj digitalnih tehnologija vidi se u cijelom svijetu, uključujući društva, države, tržište i ekonomiju. Cilj rada je istražiti percepciju korisnika o tome kako digitalne platforme utječu na poslovanje poduzeća u turističkoj djelatnosti s naglaskom na digitalnu platformu Booking.com. Hipoteze rada koje se istražuju u radu su: 1) Korisnici smatraju da su digitalne platforme doprinijele kvaliteti života ljudi, 2) Korisnici smatraju da su digitalne platforme promijenile način poslovanja turističkog sektora, 3) Korisnici smatraju da je digitalna platforma Booking.com uspješna zato što nudi raznolik sadržaj i velik broj pogodnost, 4) Korisnici smatraju da digitalna platforma Booking.com uvelike ubrzava i olakšava planiranje putovanja, 5) Korisnici smatraju da digitalna platforma Booking.com u potpunosti sigurna. Nakon pregleda i sažimanja sekundarnih podataka prikupljenih iz knjiga, znanstvenih članaka i internetskih izvora te provođenja online istraživanja o digitalnoj platformi Booking.com sve navedene hipoteze su potvrđene i došlo se do zaključka da su digitalne platforme donijele i donose značajne promjene u živote ljudi i poslovanje poduzeća te da će digitalne platforme, s obzirom na utjecaj i važnost koju imaju danas u svijetu, i u budućnosti imati veliku i važnu ulogu u funkcioniranju svijeta.The subject of this paper is digital web platform Booking.com. Digital web platforms have
fundamentally changed people's lives. The impact of digital technologies and digital
platforms can be seen all over the world, including societies, states, markets, and
economies. The aim of this paper is to investigate the user's perception of how digital
platforms affect the business operations of companies in the tourism industry, with an
emphasis on the Booking.com digital platform. The working hypotheses that are
investigated in the paper are: 1) Users believe that digital platforms have contributed to
people's quality of life, 2) Users believe that digital platforms have changed the way the
tourism sector operates, 3) Users believe that the digital platform Booking.com is
successful because offers diverse content and a large number of conveniences, 4) Users
believe that the Booking.com digital platform greatly speeds up and facilitates travel
planning, 5) Users believe that the Booking.com digital platform is completely safe. After
reviewing and summarizing secondary data collected from books, scientific articles and
internet sources, as well as conducting online research on the digital platform
Booking.com, all the mentioned hypotheses were confirmed and the conclusion was
reached that digital platforms have brought and are bringing significant changes to
people's lives and business operations and that digital platforms, given the influence and
importance they have in the world today, will continue to play a large and important role
in the functioning of the world in the future

globalnog društva. među brojnim promjenama ona donosi i intenzivniji razvoj
poslovanja u pokretu, a u kontekstu istoga i mobilnih plaćanja. Sukladno
navedenome, kao i značaju ove i ostalih vrsta poslovanja u pokretu, danas je
moguće govoriti i pojedinim djelatnostima koje razvijaju u ovome smjeru, kao i o
tendenciji razvoja mobilne ekonomije generalno.
Mobilna plaćanja doprinose mnogočemu, a smatra se da značajno maksimiziraju
kvalitetu poslovanja. S obzirom na niz prednosti, države diljem svijeta nastoje što
uspješnije podržati njihov razvoja, a time doprinijeti zadovoljstvu različitih skupina
dionika. Tijekom posljednje dvije dekade maksimizira se broj ovih sustava, poslovnih
procesa, ali i uspješnih praksi. Neki od primjera su m-trgovina i m-bankarstvo.
Iako Hrvatska u prosjeku značajno zaostaje za razvijenim državama svijeta kada je
riječ o popularnosti, primjeri i razvoju mobilnih plaćanja, i na ovome teritoriju postoje
pozitivni pomaci. U Hrvatskoj je vodeći generator mobilnih plaćanja bankarski sektor,
no u budućnosti se očekuje napredak i u ostalim sektorima i djelatnostima.Technology has greatly altered the former business, but also the daily life of a global
society. Among the numerous changes, it brings more intense business development
into the movement, as well as mobile payments as one of its types. Due that, as well
as the importance of mentioned business, today it is possible to talk about wide
business processes that are developing in this direction, as well as the tendencies of
the developing the mobile economy general.
Mobile payments contribute many advantages and are considered to significantly
maximize business quality. Due their numerous advantages, countries around the
world are trying to support their development more successfully and thus contribute
to the satisfaction of different stakeholders. Over the last two decades the number of
systems, business processes and successful practices has been maximized. Some
examples are m-commerce and m-banking.
Although Croatia lags significantly behind developed countries in the world, there are
also positive moves in this area. In Croatia, the leading mobile payment generator is
the banking sector, but in the future the progress is also expected in other sectors

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
