EXPLAINING JAMMU AND KASHMIR CONFLICT UNDER INDIAN ILLEGAL OCCUPATION: PAST AND PRESENT
The Jammu and Kashmir conflict remains one of the oldest UN agenda items. However, despite the genuine plight and legitimate demand for the right to self-determination, Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir continue to struggle for their lives and livelihood under Indian oppression and state-sponsored terrorism without respite. This paper, therefore, attempts to glean into the history of the conflict, which has a strong connection with the contemporary situation, while answering important questions: What circumstances compelled people to rush to Kashmir soon after the independence? How has India, over the decades, interpreted, misinterpreted, and manipulated world opinion in its favour? Why and how have the Muslim world and international community shown apathy towards the beleaguered Kashmiris? Lastly, can there be a way forward, especially after India’s illegal annexation of the UN declared disputed territory? It also highlights options available for a plausible solution to this humanitarian issue.

Constructing Outraged Communities and State Responses: The Taslima Nasreen Saga in 1994 and 2007
Taslima Nasreen, the exiled Bangladeshi author, was forced to leave India, her adopted homeland, in March 2008 after being under ‘security protection’ for months following street agitation against her writings in Kolkata. The events between August 2007, when she was physically attacked in Hyderabad, and March 2008, when she left the country, were reminiscent of those in Bangladesh in 1994 which led to her departure from there. In both instances, the states’ responses were her forced removal from the country to placate the agitators. In this paper I analyze the events on the ground and the responses of the states. I argue that these events demonstrate how ‘outraged communities’ are constructed, and symbols are invented to mobilize the community. The role of state has received little attention in the extant discussions while I contend that states bear a significant responsibility in engendering the controversy
Ethnic Politics and Political Process in Pakistan
Ethnic Politcs in Pakistan have xisted since 1947.Ethnic Politics has threatened Pakistan's security and Pakistn was divded in 1971 becuase ethnci politics dominated in east and west Pakistan.Today, ethnic poltics has eroded Pakistan's soverignity.Mohajir in Sindh ans Balochi in Balochistan are not accepting other ethnci groups in their localities.Internal and external factors are supporting ethno-political parties to destablise Pakista
India´s regional strategic outlook and influence via Afghanistan
India’s regional security outlook has significantly changed owning to the post 9/11 world politics and the post-Taliban developments in Afghanistan. The regional strategic layout in South Asia has been dominated by the two rivals, Pakistan and India. Both have sagaciously projected their multifarious strategies in Afghanistan. More recently, India’s two traditional rivals, Pakistan and China have strengthened their strategic partnership which would undermine India’s role and influence in the region but India’s gigantic investment in Afghanistan has strengthened India’s endeavors to protect its ‘regional strategic outlook’. The U.S which is fighting against terrorism in Afghanistan has granted a greater role to India in ‘peace building’ process and ignored Pakistan’s long partnership against war on terrorism in Afghanistan, because Pakistan, according to the U.S, has failed to control and curb Taliban and militants in Afghanistan. India, however, has become the U.S. ally and has defined its policy vis-à-vis the regional powers, Pakistan and Chin
Rac1 links integrin-mediated adhesion to the control of lactational differentiation in mammary epithelia
The expression of tissue-specific genes during mammary gland differentiation relies on the coincidence of two distinct signaling events: the continued engagement of β1 integrins with the extracellular matrix (ECM) and a hormonal stimulus from prolactin (Prl). How the integrin and Prl receptor (PrlR) systems integrate to regulate milk protein gene synthesis is unknown. In this study, we identify Rac1 as a key link. Dominant- negative Rac1 prevents Prl-induced synthesis of the milk protein β-casein in primary mammary epithelial cells cultured as three-dimensional acini on basement membrane. Conversely, activated Rac1 rescues the defective β-casein synthesis that occurs under conditions not normally permissive for mammary differentiation, either in β1 integrin-null cells or in wild-type cells cultured on collagen. Rac1 is required downstream of integrins for activation of the PrlR/Stat5 signaling cascade. Cdc42 is also necessary for milk protein synthesis but functions via a distinct mechanism to Rac1. This study identifies the integration of signals provided by ECM and hormones as a novel role for Rho family guanosine triphosphatases. © The Rockefeller University Press
An integrin-ILK-microtubule network orients cell polarity and lumen formation in glandular epithelium
The extracellular matrix has a crucial role in determining the spatial orientation of epithelial polarity and the formation of lumens in glandular tissues; however, the underlying mechanisms remain elusive. By using Cre-Lox deletion we show that β 1 integrins are required for normal mammary gland morphogenesis and lumen formation, both in vivo and in a three-dimensional primary culture model in which epithelial cells directly contact a basement membrane. Downstream of basement membrane β 1 integrins, Rac1 is not involved; however, ILK is needed to polarize microtubule plus ends at the basolateral membrane and disrupting each of these components prevents lumen formation. The integrin-microtubule axis is necessary for the endocytic removal of apical proteins from the basement-membrane-cell interface and for internal Golgi positioning. We propose that this integrin signalling network controls the delivery of apical components to the correct surface and thereby governs the orientation of polarity and development of lumens. © 2013 Macmillan Publishers Limited. ماحولیاتی آلودگی کے معاشرے پراثرات اور سیرت النبیﷺ کی روشنی میں حل: Effects of Pollution on Society and its Solutions in the Light of the Prophetﷺ's Life
The universe operates as a cohesive unity, where every component is interconnected and interdependent. Allah Almighty has intricately designed everything in the universe to support human life and benefit living beings, ensuring a harmonious existence. The preservation of the environment holds paramount importance for the sustainability of the universe. Nature has bestowed upon us lush green valleys, majestic mountains, dense forests, serene waterfalls, bubbling springs, flowing rivers, and expansive seas—all intended for human utilization and comfort within this earthly realm. These natural elements were entrusted to maintain a delicate balance, yet human intervention has disrupted this equilibrium. Deforestation, mining, marine pollution, and industrial emissions have gradually altered the landscape, leading to widespread environmental degradation. Consequently, the world grapples with concerns over air, water, and land pollution, as well as noise, nuclear, light, and heat pollution. Despite numerous initiatives, environmental pollution remains a pressing issue across underdeveloped, developing, and developed nations, impacting both rural and urban communities and posing significant health risks. To combat environmental pollution, cleanliness and hygiene practices are imperative at individual, communal, and governmental levels. This purification extends beyond the physical realm to encompass spiritual and collective purification, as emphasized in the teachings of the Quran and Hadith. Islamic principles advocate for the elimination of underlying causes contributing to pollution. This dissertation employs a historical and narrative research methodology to explore these themes and solutions
