Hölder continuity and Harnack estimate for non-homogeneous parabolic equations
No full textIn this paper we continue the study on intrinsic Harnack inequality for non-homogeneous parabolic equations in non-divergence form initiated by the first author in Arya (Calc Var Partial Differ Equ 61:30–31, 2022). We establish a forward-in-time intrinsic Harnack inequality, which in particular implies the Hölder continuity of the solutions. We also provide a Harnack type estimate on global scale which quantifies the strong minimum principle. In the time-independent setting, this together with Arya (2022) provides an alternative proof of the generalized Harnack inequality proven by the second author in Julin (Arch Ration Mech Anal 216:673–702, 2015).peerReviewe

No full textThis article addresses in its content an analysis on the character Arya Stark of the literary work, the chronicles of Ice and Fire, of the author George R.R. Martin. For this, the study was directed by the study about gender (GALVÃO, 1998), namely, the understanding of the term damsel-warrior and its importance in relation to social issues pertinent to female experience, especially in the literary description. The purpose of analyzing the character is to establish a debate about the feminine 'image' in the work, through Arya and a comparison with the experience of the woman in the contemporary society, being, therefore, the theoretical concepts, through bibliographical revision On the ethos (AMOSSY, 2014, EGGS, 2014) and the enunciative scene (MAINGUENAU, 2014) help in the argumentative constitution for a better understanding of the discursive types that are in the social core historically and that reflect in the analyzed work. The result of the research, from the studies of the theoretical basis, was convergent to elucidation of the social constitution that the discourse has. Thus, it is relevant to note that understanding how discourses are defined and expressed through literature continues to reveal the barriers that result in occasional domains of groups over others.Este artigo aborda em seu conteúdo uma análise sobre a personagem Arya Stark da obra literária, As crônicas de Gelo e Fogo, do autor George R.R. Martin. Para tanto, o estudo foi direcionado pelo estudo a respeito de gênero (GALVÃO, 1998), a saber, sobre a compreensão do termo donzela-guerreira e de sua importância frente às questões sociais pertinentes a vivência feminina, sobretudo na tradição literária. O propósito de analisar a personagem é de estabelecer um debate a respeito da ‘imagem’ feminina na obra, por meio de Arya e de uma comparação com a vivência da mulher na sociedade contemporânea, sendo assim, os conceitos teóricos, por meio de revisão bibliográfica sobre ethos (AMOSSY, 2014; EGGS, 2014) e da cena enunciativa (MAINGUENAU, 2014) auxiliam na constituição argumentativa para melhor compreensão dos tipos discursivos que estão no cerne social historicamente e que refletem na obra analisada. O resultado da pesquisa, a partir dos estudos da base teórica, foi convergente a elucidação da constituição social que o discurso tem frente à temática. Remembering that Pelinggih is a medium that functions as a place of worship so that it is sacred. However, in the aspect of communication, Pelinggih is understood as a medium to communicate messages visually, one of which is Pelinggih Tuan Aji Madura which is located at Dalem Dukun Sakti Temple, Tuban Customary Village. Dalem Dukun Sakti Temple is a temple belonging to the family of Arya Wang Bang Pinatih's descendants. Although this temple is a family temple, this temple also has loyal worshipers from all over Bali, but mainly Badung Regency and can be visited by all Dharma Hindu people throughout Indonesia on the basis of sraddha and is believed by local residents to be a temple that can cure all kinds of diseases. Cultural acculturation in this case through the Pelinggih Tuan Aji Madura media is unique, namely the shape made on it like the dome of a mosque. Many religions other than Hinduism pray at the Tuan Aji Temple, Madura. There are people who are Muslims who also come to pray at the Dalem Dukun Sakti Temple, especially at the Pelinggih Tuan Aji Madura. The Muslims who pray at Tuan Aji Madura have a belief that praying at Pura Dalem Dukun Sakti will heal them from their illness and are given medicine in the form of holy water that has been given by Tuan Aji Madura. The values of Hindu Religious Education are contained due to such cultural acculturation, such as: Tattwa Education Values, Moral or Ethical Education Values, Ceremonial Education Values and Tat Twam Asi Education Values
Perancangan dan Penerapan Metode K-Means untuk Memprediksi Penjualan Toko Arya Elektrik
No full textIn a shop, the product is a staple that is sold and bought. There are products in the store between products that sell well and products that don't sell. Given this problem, it is necessary to create a system that can classify products that sell, products that sell well, and products that don't sell well, which was carried out at the Arya Elektrik Store and carried out from March to July 2022. The K-Means algorithm is not affected by the order of objects used. used, this is proven when the author tries to randomly determine the starting point of the cluster center of one of the objects at the start of the calculation. The number of cluster memberships generated is the same when using another object as the starting point for the cluster center. However, this only affects the number of iterations performed. The purpose is to create applications and analyze product sales at the Arya Elektrik Store using the K-Means method. With this system, it can provide convenience benefits for analyzing the grouping of product sales at the Arya Elektrik Store, determining and classifying product sales that are selling well, very selling, and less selling. The method used to collect data is observation and interviews. With this application, shop owners can see the results of grouping these products. So, if there are products that don't sell well, shop owners can look for other alternatives so that products that don't sell can be sold.Pada sebuah toko, produk merupakan bahan pokok yang dijual belikan. Produk di toko terdapat antara produk yang laku dengan produk yang tidak laku. Dengan adanya masalah ini, perlu untuk menciptakan sistem yang dapat mengelompokkan produk laku, produk sangat laku, dan produk yang kurang laku, yang dilakukan di Toko Arya Elektrik dan dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret sampai Juli 2022. Algoritma K-Means tidak terpengaruh terhadap urutan objek yang digunakan, hal ini dibuktikan ketika penulis mencoba menentukan secara acak titik awal pusat cluster dari salah satu objek pada permulaan perhitungan. Jumlah keanggotaan cluster yang dihasilkan berjumlah sama ketika menggunakan objek yang lain sebagai titik awal pusat cluster tersebut. Namun, hal ini hanya berpengaruh pada jumlah iterasi yang dilakukan. Tujuan untuk membuat aplikasi dan menganalisis penjualan produk pada Toko Arya Elektrik menggunakan metode K-Means. Dengan adanya sistem ini dapat memberikan manfaat kemudahan untuk menganalisis pengelompokkan penjualan produk pada Toko Arya Elektrik, menentukan dan mengklasifikasikan penjualan produk yang laku, sangat laku, dan kurang laku. Metode yang digunakan pengumpulan data adalah observasi dan wawancara. Dengan adanya aplikasi ini, pemilik toko dapat melihat hasil pengelompokkan produk tersebut. Maka, bila terdapat produk yang tidak laku, pemilik toko dapat mencari alternative lain agar produk yang tidak laku dapat menjadi laku.

لبعض المجتمع في إندونيسيا، يقال أن الأدات أو التقليد هي وارث مقدس من أسلافهم الذين يجبون دائما أن يكونا الحفاظ على وجودها والحفاظ على مر العصور. المجتمع الاندونيسي الذى لديه الثقافات والتقاليد المرتبطة على اللحظات المعين، يعنى لحظة الزواج. في الإسلام، عرف بمفهوم العرف أو العادات السائدة في المجتمع الإسلامي. Sorong Serah Aji Krame هي واحدة من التقاليد فى لومبوك الوسطى ، ويتم تنفيذها للنبلاء فقط ، لإدامة الوضع الاجتماعي وفقا للنسب. لذلك، أولئك الذين يؤدون Sorong Serah من الشعاب jajar karang وغالبا ما تنظر إليها على أنها تسعى هيبة. ويرجع ذلك إلى فهم المجتمع الذين لم يفهموا عن المعنى التقليد Sorong Serah Aji Krame.

هذا البحث هو دراسة قانونية تجريبية. والنهج المستخدم هو النهج النوعي. مصدر البيانات هي من مصادر البيانات الأولية والثانوية والثالثية. ويتم جمع البيانات يعنى من خالل الملاحظة والمقابلة والتوثيق. تتم طريقة معالجة البيانات هي من خلال مراحل، يعنى خفض البيانات وتحرير البيانات، والتصنيف، والتحقق، والتحليل، والاختتام.
من ملاءمة البيانات التي حصلت عليها التي أجريت في قرية بويونج ظهرت أن: أولا، Sorong Serah Aji Krame أجريت للطرفين، أن الرجل بعث مجموعة التى تتألف من عشرين إلى ثلاثين اشخاص، وزيارة الأسرة الإناث ، وتحمل ممتلكات التى تسمى جيغاوان gegawan التى تسليمها إلى أسرة الأنثى. ويسمى هذا الوفد penyorong، في حين أن المرأة التي ستحصل على تقديم يسمى المستجيب أو المتلقي. ووفقا للمعلومات لالو إندرا أريا فونترا كما رئيسا للقرية الأصلية بويونج، إذا كان المجتمع بويونج الذين لديهم طبقات اجتماعية أكثر والمال المزيد يجب ان تنفيذ تقليد هذا Sorong Serah Aji Krame ، لأن هذا التقليد ينطبق على النبلاء والرجل العادي، وإذا لم تنفيذ هذا التقليد في الزواج سيكون منبوذا للمجتمع بويون. ثانيا، أصبح تقليد الزواج Sorong Serah Aji Krame في الريفية فويونج، جوغكات لومبوك الوسطى ، وهذا التقليد لم ينحرف عن قانون الشريعة الإسلامية
ABSTRACT
Some people in Indonesia argue that adat or tradition is a sacred heritage of their ancestors who must always be upheld and preserved the existence throughout the ages. Indonesian society has a wealth of cultures and traditions that are associated with certain moments, namely the moment of marriage. In Islam is known by the concept of 'urf or customs that is prevailing in Muslim society. Sorong Serah Aji Krame is one of the existing customs in Central Lombok, nowadays, the implementation is only done by the noble class, to perpetuate their social status based on the born. Therefore, the communities who perform Sorong Serah from jajar karang are often regarded as seeking prestige. This is caused by the understanding of the people who have not understood the meaning of Sorong Serah Aji Krame tradition.
There are two formulation of the problems. First, how is the procession of marriage tradition of Sorong Serah Aji Krame at Puyung Village, Jonggat, Central Lombok Regency. Second, how are the opinion of community leaders at Puyung Village, Jonggat, Central Lombok Regency about Sorong Serah Aji Krame tradition in viewing 'urf.
The research is an empirical law study. The approach uses qualitative approach. The data source consists of primary, secondary and tertiary data sources. Methods of data collection are done by observation, interview, and documentation. Data processing methods are done through the stages of data reduction and data editing, classification, verification, analysis, and conclusoin.
The data obtained in the research that were conducted in Puyung Village as follows,: First, Sorong Serah Aji Krame is done by both parties, namely the men sent a group consisting of twenty to thirty people, carrying a property that is called a gegawan to be handed over to a women families. This entourage is called penyorong, while the women families who will receive the submission is called the responder or the recipient. According to the information of Lalu Endra Arya Puntara as the leader of the puyung village custom, if the puyung society that has high social stratification and properties must perform the tradition of Sorong Serah Aji Krame, because this tradition applies to the descendants of nobility and ordinary people, and if it doesn’t carry out this tradition in marriage will be ostracized by the pliant society. Second, the tradition of Sorong Serah Aji Krame marriage has been becoming customary in Puyung Village, Jenggot, Central Lombok Regency, and the custom does not deviate the rules of Islamic Shari'ah
ABSTRAK
Bagi sebagaian masyarakat di Indonesia, berpendapat bahwa adat atau tradisi adalah suatu warisan yang keramat dari nenek moyang mereka yang harus selalu dijunjung tinggi dan dilestarikan keberadaannya sepanjang masa. Masyarakat Indonesia khususnya memiliki kekayaan budaya dan tradisi yang dikaitkan dengan momen-momen tertentu yang antara lain adalah momen perkawinan. Dalam Islam dikenal dengan konsep ‘urf atau kebiasaan yang berlaku di masyarakat muslim. Sorong Serah Aji Krame adalah salah satu adat yang ada di Lombok Tengah, saat ini pelaksanaannya hanya dilakukan oleh golongan bangsawan (ningrat), untuk melanggengkan status sosial mereka berdasarkan keturunan. Karena itu, mereka yang melakukan Sorong Serah dari golongan jajar karang seringkali dianggap sebagai upaya mencari gengsi. Hal ini disebabkan oleh pemahaman masyarakat yang belum memahami makna dari tradisi Sorong Serah Aji Krame.
Dengan permasalahan penelitian yang dibahas pada penelitian ini maka ada dua rumusan masalah yang dirumuskan. Pertama, bagaimana prosesi tradisi pernikahan Sorong Serah Aji Krame di Desa Puyung Kecamatan Jonggat Kabupaten Lombok Tengah. Kedua, bagaimana pandangan tokoh masyarakat Desa Puyung Kecamatan Jonggat Kabupaten Lombok Tengah mengenai tradisi pernikahan Sorong Serah Aji Krame tersebut dalam tinjauan ‘urf.
Penelitian ini adalah penelitian hukum empiris. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data terdiri dari sumber data primer, skunder dan tersier. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Metode pengolahan data dilakukan melalui tahap-tahap yaitu Data Reduction dan Editing Data, klasifikasi, verifikasi, analisis, dan conclusoin.
Dari kesesuaian data yang didapatkan dalam penelitian yang dilakukan di Desa Puyung ditemukan hasil, yaitu: Pertama, Sorong Serah Aji Krame ini, dilakukan oleh kedua belah pihak, yaitu pihak lelaki mengirim rombongan yang terdiri dari dua puluh sampai tiga puluh orang, mendatangi keluarga pihak perempuan, dengan membawa harta benda yang dinamakan gegawan yang akan diserahkan kepada keluarga perempuan. Rombongan ini dinamakan penyorong, sedangkan pihak perempuan yang akan menerima penyerahan itu dinamakan penanggap atau penerima. Menurut keterangan dari Lalu Endra Arya Puntara selaku ketua adat desa puyung, apabila masyararakat puyung yang memiliki strata sosail yang lebih dan mempunyai harta yang lebih wajib melaksanakan tradisi Sorong Serah Aji Krame ini, karena tradisi ini berlaku untuk keturunan bangsawan dan orang biasa, dan jika tidak melaksanakan tradisi ini dalam pernikahan akan dikucilkan oleh masyarakat puyung. Kedua, tradisi pernikahan Sorong Serah Aji Krame sudah menjadi adat di daerah Desa Puyung Kecamatan Jenggot Kabupaten Lombok Tengah, dan adat tersebut tidak menyalahi aturan syari’at Islam

Refreshingly original, this book marks a new approach to appreciating the work of one of the leading artists of the twentieth century

The Speaking Body: Corporeal Symbolism in Arya Gopi's Poetry
No full textPoetry is an amalgam of both melancholy and bliss for Dr. Arya Gopi. She is an Indian bilingual writer who handles a wide variety of themes, the analysis of which would perhaps be a herculean task for a scholar. Her poetry contains everything. It speaks of inner and outer conflicts. It addresses intricacies of human psyche; confronts with life and death alike. Seldom do her words wither to be of a particular theme; instead it embraces everything general. Gopi\u27s collection of poems, Sob of Strings (2016) reveals her keen observation and unique poetic techniques. Her poetry can perhaps be considered synonymous with several of the confessional poems of Sylvia Plath, Emile Dickinson and Kamala Das. Basic human emotions, life, death, nature and the like never really are redshirts here. Another significant aspect of Gopi\u27s poetry must be the vitality of corporeal imagery made use of in Sob of Strings. Body can best used in theatre rather than literature, however, systematic development of bodily symbolism can make a work of literature complete. Body plays a vital role in meaning-making, which is a complex process. Plath and Emile Dickinson have constantly made use of several body centred symbols in order to depict intricacies of the human psyche. So does the author of Sob of Strings. Her poetry thus is a celebration of versatile themes, to justify which the author, without deliberate interruption, uses a handful of corporeal symbols
DNA Origami and its Applications in Therapeutics
No full textAbstract: DNA is a stable and biocompatible molecule due to its chemical and physical properties. Recent advancements in DNA nanotechnology allow the application of DNA origami nanostructures in a wide range of biomedical settings. The methods for the design, synthesis and analysis of DNA origami nanostructures are discussed in this study. One of the major applications of DNA nanotechnology is in therapeutics, as a delivery vehicle for chemotherapeutic drugs (such as doxorubicin and daunorubicin), as well as applications in photothermal and photodynamic therapy, all of which are discussed in this study. The study also discusses design parameters that need to be taken into consideration for the suitability and efficacy of the DNA origami nanostructures for different therapeutic functions.

The certified thesis is available in the Institute Archives and Special Collections.Cataloged from PDF version of thesis.Includes bibliographical references (p. 73-74).In this thesis, I describe our effort to build an extended and specialized Named Entity Recognizer (NER) to detect instances of Protected Health Information (PHI) in electronic medical records (A de-identifier). The de-identifier was built by creating a comprehensive set of features formed by combining features from the most successful named entity recognizers and de-identifiers and using them in a SVM classifier. We show that the benefit from having an inclusive set of features outweighs the harm from the very large dimensionality of the resulting classification problem. We also show that our classifier does not over-fit the training data. We test whether this approach is more effective than using the NERs separately and combining the results using a committee voting procedure. Finally, we show that our system achieves a precision of up to 1.00, a recall of up to 0.97, and an f-measure of up to 0.98 on a variety of corpora.by Arya Tafvizi.M.Eng
