ABSTRACT
In this paper, we have suggested rectifications in differential cryptanalysis of ultra-lightweight block cipher PRESENT reduced to 16 rounds. We have shown that proposed differential attack by Wang [3] on 16 round PRESENT can recover at the most 30 subkey bits, although the author has claimed to recover 32 bits of subkey for last two rounds. We have also computed data complexity and success probability for recovering 30 subkey bits accordingly by the differential attack on 16 round PRESENT.

Springer, Singapore.The risk of chronic diseases like diabetes, myocardial infarction, and obesity can be reduced by dietary changes and advance research in nutritional biology. Starch composition of millet grains is very high which almost accounts for 60–70% of millet grains and it tremendously affects the quality of millet-based products. Compared to the major cereals, the hypoglycaemic properties and other superior attributes of millet starch could make it a promising ingredient for the functional food industry. However, scanty knowledge on structural and functional attributes of millet starch seriously hinders further improvement of millets as functional and nutraceutical food. Here, we discussed the current knowledge and emerging insights of the isolation, structure, chemical composition, physicochemical properties, interaction with other constituents, and uses of millet starch. The aim of this chapter is to enlighten the benefits of millet starch and its uses in relation to reduce the risk of chronic disorders and enhance nutritional security.Not Availabl

Springer, SingaporeThe green revolution has increased the quantum of major cereals (wheat and rice), which otherwise would have been substantially low across the developing countries; a significant contribution that one can never undervalue. However, focused monoculture of either crop was realized particularly with respect to loss of agro-biodiversity and sustenance of nutri-rich minor crops resulting in poor food grain diversity. Albeit, these crops provide sufficient calories, they do not make a complete diet resulting in malnutrition of over 2000 million people worldwide. Millets are versatile grains valued for their exceptional nutritional profile. Being the reservoir of essential micronutrients and trace elements they are often termed as nature’s nutraceutical basket. Furthermore, their climate resilient nature and adaptation to low input agriculture makes them “harbingers for evergreen revolution.” The latest advancements in genomics and automate phenotyping techniques for searching genes and metabolites, coupled with high-throughput transformation processes have opened new avenues for product development in millets. Furthermore, various computational biology platforms help us in analyzing big molecular data of crop plants to identify valuable genes hidden in them. In addition, molecular breeding platforms may be utilized to speed up the introgression of value-added genes in high welding and widely adapted genetic backgrounds. D-Penicillamine for preventing retinopathy of prematurity in preterm infants
Get PDFBackground The rate of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) in moderately premature infants has decreased dramatically with improved care in the neonatal intensive care unit. A low rate of this disorder was unexpectedly observed among infants treated with intravenous D-penicillamine to prevent hyperbilirubinaemia. This observation led to the investigation of its use, both enterally as well as intravenously, to prevent ROP. Objectives To determine the effect of prophylactic administration of D-penicillamine on the incidence of acute ROP or severe ROP and other morbidities in preterm infants. Search methods We used the Cochrane Neonatal Review Group search strategy. Two review authors independently searched multiple electronic databases, previous reviews including cross references, abstracts, conference/symposia proceedings, and expert informants. We updated the search on November 27, 2012. Selection criteria We included randomised or quasi-randomised controlled trials if they administered D-penicillamine and compared it with no treatment or placebo to premature infants and reported on the outcome of ROP. Data collection and analysis We used the criteria and standard methods of the Cochrane Neonatal Review Group to assess the methodological quality of the included trials. One review author examined trials for validity. A second review author checked validity and they reached consensus on the final data before entry into this review. We used the standards of the Neonatal Cochrane Review Group to analyse data. Main results Three randomised trials met the inclusion criteria. The meta-analysis showed no significant differences in the risk of any stage ROP (typical risk ratio (RR) 0.32, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.03 to 3.70), severe ROP (typical RR 0.38, 95% CI 0.03 to 4.26) or death (typical RR 0.95, 95% CI 0.68 to 1.32) in all treated infants. When the subgroup of infants under 1500 g birth weight was examined, the results were similar. No side effects were reported, and follow-up at one year revealed no significant differences in spasticity or developmental delay. Authors' conclusions Administration of prophylactic D-penicillamine in preterm infants does not prevent acute or severe ROP, death or neurodevelopmental delay. D-penicillamine cannot be recommended for the prevention of ROP based on the available evidence

It is man to be educated on the entire development process by integrating sosial development, economic development and environmental conservation and protection. This paper attempts to explain the concept, principles and management of sustainable economic development from Islamic perspective. The paper would start by defining the concept of sustainable economic development and development goals. Next, the Islamic principles for sustainable economic development would be discussed, followed by the discussion on the management of sustainable economic development from Islamic perspective. In conclusion, the paper strongly suggests the economic development process to fully adhere to the Islamic principles as the key for sustainable development which covers both the material and non-material aspects of life.
